We all come from the same root here, with fundamental basic beliefs

Biden got jokes.

Trump has signed a few EOs related to H-1Bs now. This one could affect up to 18,000 jobs in government positions. Previous EOs have reduced caps.

Does anyone know at this point what percentage these EOs have reduced the H-1B workforce?

I think any progress on this matter is good progress and we can't expect this issue to be completely resolved overnight, especially since the president's power has limits. But it would be nice to know how much progress HAS been made so far!

I'm entirely in favor of a west coast secession under one condition: after their communist utopia fails, they don't get to come back until the states are purged entirely of their current governing bodies and replaced with leaders voted on by the rest of the US.

Meditation helps me a lot.

Used to take me hours to fall asleep because it was impossible for me to stop thinking about all the shit that stresses me out.

What I do is lie down on my back, take deep breaths, and focus my mind on the sensation at the tip of my nose as I'm breathing in and out. If my mind starts to wander, I just bring it back to the tip of my nose. Having that "anchor" helps, and before I know it, I'm out.

Also if you do, try not to eat or drink anything other than water (or chamomile tea, which actually does help!) past dinnertime and try not to drink coffee past late afternoon. I always thought I was immune to the effects of caffeine because I never "felt" energized from drinking coffee, but I noticed that if I drink it in the evening I'll be super restless all night (it's that "can't get comfortable even though I'm tired af" feeling).

I think better optics would be #MaskDonationMonday where we donate all of our masks to doctors (the only group of people who actually needs them) and include a letter explaining why.

The let them spread those letters on social media, either out of support or out of rage. Even better if the angry ones post pics of them throwing our donations in the trash to unintentionally show the world how little they think masks matter. :)

Mob mentality and cult-like indoctrination can make even sane people do insane things.

I'd like to think every state is a battleground state this year uwu

I'm daydreaming, but I'll carry on clacking away from my post in Commiefornia regardless.

Apps are banned from app stores all the time. I mean usually it's because those apps promote free speech and not because they compromise our national security, but it's not the least bit "technologically impractical". Then again, ACLU doesn't ever know what the fuck they're talking about anyway.

I think this also lends some credence to the possibility that what many thought were DDOS attacks were actually bandwidth resource limits all along. I had/have my suspicions, since this always and only happens whenever there's a significant livestream or something.

I'm assuming mods are cautious to accept money because it compromises their anonymity (if not through the gateway, then through the processor). Or possibly because they can't legally accept money because of their occupation perhaps. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

A Ford supplier anyway. Let's wait to see what Ford has to say about this.

Exactly. He wants as many as people to watch that interaction going into it thinking Fauci might have said something competent, only to witness his utter buffoonery.

For one, it's good optics and further debunks the myth that the president isn't taking the issue seriously, which doesn't play well when the average American believes that over 150,000 Americans have died from this (and the particularly stupid Americans believe that millions have died).

Secondly, this will lead to further testing and eliminate the "need" for a vaccine.

The part of COVID that's a hoax is the narrative that all Americans need to be terrified of it and that children and teachers are going to drop dead etc, when in reality 99% of deaths have occurred in older people with comorbidities.

If we can dispel that talking point completely, we win. And if donating plasma helps us get there, it's worth supporting. And when that's done and we've won, we can turn our focus toward holding the right people accountable for lying to the American people to begin with.

As for your comment about a TD echo chamber, consider this: you wouldn't go to a Trump rally and then start talking with fellow Trump supporters about the things you disagree with him on. That's kind of a bummer and just wouldn't be the time/place for that kind of conversation. It's the same with this site.

That's my take anyway. :)

I guess we didn't have to prove it, but the truth was on our side and not proving it would have been detrimental to this campaign for no reason, whereas proving it was hugely beneficial to this campaign.

There is a difference between saying something like "WuFlu is a HOAX but if that's how they want to play the game then let's play" (which is how we arrived at Obamagate and how we'll likely arrive at... uh... Chinagate?) and saying something like "WuFlu is a HOAX why is Trump even bothering with this it's stupid"

I didn't see what the comments were, so I can't say for sure, but I'm assuming they were closer to the latter.

You personally must REQUEST an absentee ballot and it goes through a vetting process.

Mail in voting is just, like, California automatically sends out ballots to everyone's mailbox after automatically registering you to vote.

Yep, policy at boyfriend's company is to only wear masks when you're within 15 feet of another employee and to take it off immediately afterward. They also switched from N95 to cloth masks because of this.

You should see his mask after work, it's completely coated with dirt and grime. I hate that he has to breathe that in so close to his mouth...

As much fun as it would be to shoot the shit with our GEOTUS, I think an AMA here would be kind of pointless and would certainly be a waste of time for him.

I don't see it being beneficial to Trump or his campaign at all and I don't see him unveiling anything we don't already know.

If you have a question for President Trump, you need look no further than his public discourse. Unlike other politicians, he's open and transparent about everything.
