For the young set out there, how prevalent is this? I have 3 teenagers myself, I have always told them to think for themselves, use their own eyes to “see” the facts, but I’m not sure if it’s working. I fear they are just parroting their teachers and friends. What’s the percent of young people who are free thinkers like this young man?

Now discussing colleges for our youngest. Hubby and I were talking about their choices (twins), one of which is Univ of Vermont. Eldest already in college told her father that a super liberal vegan kid she graduated HS with went to UVM and it was TOO LIBERAL for her! She hated it.
This pope is such a disappointment. Socialist to the core. But it’s what most Christian sects are becoming. They’re so afraid of being called haters, so afraid of criticizing anyone and have the media turn on them, they simply adopt progressivism. And reasonable people sit in the pews and think to themselves, no, this is wrong. Why am I coming here? The leftward lurch of Christianity really bothers me. If you have principles, stand by them.
Good luck on that, OP. I’m in MA, too. Not many Republicans even run. Also, because Democrats don’t want you to know, the party affiliation doesn’t show on the ballot. Definitely not in local elections. You need to vote in the primary in order to get a Republican primary ballot and find out who is actually running as an Republican. Do what you can, get out there and vote, vote, vote. Support Republicans who do run, and volunteer if you can. We get no support from the RNC.
