To be honest, Iran was civilized before the CIA coup. Americans took vacations there. Even Afghanistan and Iraq in the 70s looked far more civilized than they do now. The true Arab regions (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, etc) im not so sure about though.
We heard this before with Saddam Hussein in Iraq. Regime change isnt going to solve this.
The problem is terrorism doesnt need an organized nation. It only needs a will.
Secondly, while certainly want to see us withdraw, the tlak coming out of the government seems to indicate they are prepared for another proxy war with boots in nearby countries.
