Every time I see this guy on screen I wonder how the hell he gets work. He's not the greatest actor but he seems to pop up in a lot of stuff like he's related to a producer, or part of some special club?

I have a coworker that's a couple of years older than me. She's a bit religious, and very conservative.

But, she's drinking so hard from the feminism trough.

People who are reasonably intelligent, financially struggling, and socially inclined are highly susceptible to Leftist thinking patterns. They realise their personal vulnerability so seek to bury themselves within the group. That's why many of them are consciously accepting psychologically and philosophically contradictory positions rather than breaking away from the group and coming back to Reason. These people form the bulk of the "grievance studies" graduates. It's unfortunately a feedback loop at the moment. Previous generations grew out being a College-Socialist because their degrees got them gainful employment and so there was a light (financial stability) at the end of the tunnel for them. The current generation are failing to get jobs, then returning to pursue a Masters, or PhDs because they think that that will get them a job, but instead it buries them in inescapable debt.

Wait until they crash Western Housing markets.

For the last 20 odd years wealthy Chinese have been burying cash in global property to protect it from CCP asset seizure. They've driven up local property prices in Australia and Canada to ridiculous levels. At some point in this crisis, they're going to want to liquidate some of that cash and they're all going to start selling. House prices will plummet.

  1. China lied about the numbers (because it's their fuck up).

  2. China's outbreak (not initial release) occurred during the Chinese New Year period, after the major travel had already occurred, but before everyone returned home. So the mass transit system point is moot.

  3. China prevented a large number of deaths by locking everyone inside on the authority of a totalitarian state. This prevented spread in other provinces and they then concentrated their entire country's medical response in Wuhan.

The deaths will come in the West (particularly the USA) because:

  1. We have no State ability to lock everyone inside, this will lead to numerous hotspots as opposed to the single one as in China.

  2. The numerous hotspots mean we won't be able to shift all our medical workers to a single province, so the medical response will be spread too thin.

  3. The billing system in the USA means that infected people will avoid treatment and spread the infections.

The primary reason the deaths will come in such high numbers is that 10% of infected people need to be put on respirators to survive and there's a finite number of respirators (and staff to monitor them). So, if you have lots of respirators and staff and low numbers of infected, the CFR is 1-2%. If you run out of respirators, the CFR could be up to 9%. If medical supplies run out, it could be even worse.

The secondary reason that the CFR will be much higher in the West is that co-morbidities, particularly obesity and diabetes heighten the Case Fatality Rate (CFR). These are problems that are much more present in Western populations than Chinese, South Korean and Japanese populations. Its hard to breath with excessive amount of fat sitting on your ches, this is why if you look at the photos in Italy, people are being placed prone on the beds.

To put this all in context, Spanish Flu killed 50 million people. The Spanish Flu had an average CTR of 2.5% - WuFlu is hovering somewhere around 4.5% at the moment.

Buckle up, this is the big one.

Do you think that might be (and I'm purely hypothesising), because the Ashkenazim originate from a Khazar tribe that adopted Judaism as a means of not having to choose between the encroaching threats of Islam and Orthodox Christianity? Maybe they don't really have a deep interest in Judaism because they chose the religion out of expediency, not any deep, ancient link like Sephardic jews?

They certainly seem to generate a lot of atheists for a culture based around a religion...

And who exactly has been politically persuaded by Scott Adams? Master persuader? Come on. That's nonsense. The guy preaches directly to the choir from the hymn book.

This is just hyper-individualist nonsense - propaganda that's easily assimilated because it's natural to resist the responsibility that comes from social debt. It's particularly easy if you're a high capability white male (one of the few identity groups that can be entirely self reliant). If there's no social debt, there's no responsibility; ergo, I can do whatever I want.

Well, like it or not, there IS social debt. This mantra of individualism is what's destroying the West. It atomises us and makes us exploitable by people that maintain strong in-group preference. There is absolutely no future for the West if it continues. And if there's no West to support, then good luck being an individualist in the wasteland because no-one will be paying the taxes that provides you with an army and rule of law. Or, accept your social debt, pay into it, raise your children to venerate the achievements of their ancestors (even the small people) and go on living in a safe, orderly and (mostly) free society.

Please don't take credit or pride in accomplishments you had nothing to do with.

Classic shill down-playing the power of community cohesion. If our grandparents held jobs and paid their taxes, then that's money they sacrificed to the common good. Taxes are money, the fruit of their labour, which could've gone more directly to our parents' generation, and in turn us. Our forebears played by the rules of society and didn't exploit it solely for the benefit of their descendants. They sacrificed in time, labour and money for the good of all society that their descendants still feel.

A modern billionaire/millionaire didn't "get there on their own" because they took advantage of the economic conditions prevalent in a safe, orderly, low corruption, advanced society. Societies which only exist due to the conscientious, law-abiding and faithful contributions from the bulk of normal working citizens. We can absolutely take pride in the achievements of our forebears, even if our own ancestors only broadly contributed by being those same productive citizens which form the foundations of great societies. Societies which can nurture great thinkers and doers.

Don't underestimate the importance of small cogs in great machines.

Only misguided hyper-individualists think otherwise.

This is a very instructive scenario. It shows how rank and file CIA believe themselves above the law at all times and in all cases. It also shows the power of the CIA that they can't be compelled by any other agency to submit their agents to the rule of law.

The logical extension is; what else are they doing that they're keeping out of the headlines?

Thiswillbeintheexam [S] 3 points ago

No, that would be very childish. A real man doesn't allow other people to control his actions with words.

This is why the Founding Fathers believed in absolute free-speech. They didn't consider incitement to be an issue, because the actor has to be a willing participant to the words of the speaker.

What the Founding Fathers didn't realise was that they had the intellect to resist incitement, while other people.. do not.

Found the Boomer.

"Just have faith guys", says the guy who's watched his country turn into a clusterfuck of entrenched inequality over the course of 80 years.

"This time it'll get better, 4d chess, just hold the course"

WHO FUCKING CARES ABOUT SMOLLET and AVENETTI? FUCKING NO ONE.

No, things aren't just going to get better. Deep State owns the legislature, the prosecutors and the courts. This isn't going to just magically get better by staying small and docile and patient. The only recourse of the peasantry is the rule of law and the elites own that. It's almost exactly like the Old World where the nobles could do as they pleased. That wasn't changed through patience. This will only change if people wake up to their status as peasants and march.

Global banking was the one thing that the Founding Fathers didn't foresee. Those banks have incrementally turned all our democracies back into the old noble vs peasants dichotomy. Globalists are basically neo-aristocracy at this point. Just look at the way certain families get in constantly.

The soft bigotry of low expectations. If liberals really cared about systemic racism and the patriarchy, they'd go after the judiciary. The difference is that the judiciary's paternal and colonialist mindset is actually beneficial to them.

I don't think Trump has time to individually and personally vet every hire unfortunately. I suspect Kushner or Ivanka is doing that, which is why the hirer isn't being sacked along with the hiree.

You cant outrun a bad diet, you certainly cant out-pushup one.

You're punching downwards with your comments. It's like you think no-one's ever shamed a fattie.

Keep thinking overly simply, and you'll keep having to ask questions like the one above. Your choice.

Because we live in a post-food-scarcity world and have done since at least the 1980s.

If you're unused to fasting, your body doesn't like the stomach being empty. As a society, all our food these days is extremely calorific. This is particularly true of shitty cheap food. Much of it is heavily salted, which tricks us into over-eating, or drinking sugary drinks. Caffeine is also in food and drink which increases dependence. A lot of packaging is designed to encourage over-consumption or food wastage (and poor people will overeat rather than throw away food). Plus, poor people get depressed, and comfort eating momentarily distracts from misery. Lastly, as a society, we no longer believe in the virtues of discipline. People aren't raised to be disciplined and it's not easy to "switch it on". Finally, there is definitely a genetic component to weight, just look at pacific islanders. Primitive seafarers were unsurprisingly selected for high fat conservation.

I eat whatever, but I earn enough that I can buy a pair of $200 runners and run my ass up the hill a few times if I start putting too much pressure on my belt, or renew my gym membership if the shopping starts to feel heavy. Poor people can't do that. I also work a 40 hour week, so I had energy after work to hit the gym. Lots of working poor are doing a lot more hours and lack the energy to do much except fill their faces, play video games, go to bed late then do it all again the following day.

If you have willpower to ignore pangs, and can calculate calories, and you can recognise and resist comfort eating then you should be able to stay at a healthy weight, regardless of the input. But this just isn't achievable for a lot of the population.

Yes, people shouldn't be fat, but it's genuinely not easy in this world in which we find ourselves.

Lol socialists don't want to live in a socialist country. They want to RULE over a socialist country. They never see themselves as a worker in their worker's paradise. Instead they're an apparatchik or some other sort of state functionary.
