There's a PBS documentary, Carrier that's about the USS Nimitz. You'd get a feel for the inside of one of the ships with this, the carrier just has more wide-open spaces for obvious reasons.

Because it's more about punishing men than about supporting children. If it were about supporting children, there would be a requirement that the money be used only for their benefit.

The continued not-death of millions of people is more important at the end of the day. Every pandemic in history, without exception, has included restrictions on freedom of movement - no right is absolute.

Quite sure. I happen to personally know a couple of people infected by it. (Friends of coworkers).

Both are in good shape, they likened it to a cold with a wicked cough.

Manufacturing tariffs?

The main problem with this kind of offshoring is that India, despite making some great strides, is still a third world country outside of major cities (POO IN THE LOO etc), meaning that they have a shit record for human rights and working conditions that will only get worse over time. Those two things are one of the reasons manufacturing there is so cheap.

If manufacturing in this country is even with, or even cheaper than offshoring, it will be done here.

None of the people responsible for that decision are even in the company anymore, or likely even alive given that it was 75 years ago. Lots of cucky people in IT say the same thing about IBM.

Corps aren't anything more than the sum of the people running them. Try not to get "legal" personhood and actual personhood mixed up.

Agreed in principle - I think a lot of people here need to go read the full bill, the number of options granted to businesses big and small are quite vast.

The only thing I don't like about this is the debt increase, but again, extenuating circumstances. Doing nothing was not an option.

I mean.. the reasons he called out (GM goldbricking on getting the work done because of hemming and hawing over the percentages, and we don't have fucking time for this) seem pretty legit on their face.

And GM because they stepped forward in the first place.

I'm in exactly the same boat. I've got no issues with the way the govt. handled this (with the possible exception of not acting quicker), I've got no issues with authority, I just don't want the authority to be misused.

If Trump's second year works out with him taking the fucking gloves off, we won't have to worry about leftists for a long time.

If for some reason we wind up in an alternate timeline where it doesn't, and this is actually a concern, we've got worse problems anyways.

I still believe in collective bargaining for the private sector

Why though? Unions seem to be bad news (nepotism, "seniority" in place of merit, bureaucracy) almost anywhere.

Last time I had to walk into a bank was because some crook forged a check with my info on it and drained my account.

Wells Fucko actually paid me back on the spot for that one as long as I signed some document agreeing not to sue. Apparently they didn't follow their own ID checking procedure. Closed my account not long after because >checks >year 2000 + anything >ishygddt

Moved to an online-only bank with no BS and no fees. Never been happier.

God damn that sounds amazing. We'd wind up with a cuck-free discussion hub, with vetted cuck-free mods.

Reddit: "Don't like it? Go make your own community"

The_Donald: "lol ok"

Reddit: [pikachu.jpg]

Reddit: [angry NPC noises]

All this after the election, of course. Right now, focus is more important.

generally being WAY more establishment-friendly than he should be,

This right here is the single biggest red pill for Bernie supporters. Someone who espouses the ideas he does with the intensity he does should be more Trumpian in refusing to compromise.. he does not.

Any of the reasons I can think of for why he does not.. none of them reflect very well on his character or honesty. At this point, I seriously believe that he is not attempting to win, he is running a scam for money. Bernie is an ideologue, not a moron. The only way his strategy sucks this bad is on purpose.

Indeed. It's not about the money, it's about sending a message.

That message being "fuck all y'all bitch-ass fake news faggots"
