This is part of the many problems that we have today. The senate was never meant to pander the it's constituents. That is the job of the house of representatives. The senate was meant to represent the individual states that appointed them. They're supposed to be the state's check against the federal government. If we are ever going to get back to a truly republican form of government the 17th amendment is one of the first things that needs to be repealed.
The dems cries of AnoThEr MiD eAst WAr Reeeeeeeeee would carry more weight if we didn't just come out of 8 years of them cheering on Obama's attempts with Libya and Syria. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what Assad did to bring about the fury of the US. It's like one day he was a pretty cool youngish ruler having pictures taken with western leaders and diplomats, and the next day he was evil dictator. At least with Sadam they ramped it up over 12 years.
Now the same people that were cheering to take out Assad are acting like Iran didn't do nuffin and meany Trump is instigating them. Like the past 40 years never happened. Fucking crazy
