We had 29 just with my mom, my siblings and their spouses, and all 16 of the grandkids plus one niece's boyfriend. My late father's 78-year-old sister chose not to attend, as she has been restricting her movements by her own choice. She a semi-retired hairdresser still interacts with very elderly women, so I respect her decision. My wife sat out dinner as well as one brother's wife, who is actually recovering from the virus. 60% of my wife's colleagues at work are or have been positive (zero hospitalizations/deaths) but she won't get tested herself. I get tested weekly at work and I'm negative. Her loss. The rest of us have a life to live.

Same here. I was surprised and pleased to learn that I had ancestors who fought in that war.

Cillizza walked his stupid ass right into that one. You don't have to be a Jefferson biographer to know of his disdain for the press. I guess when you work for CNN, facts and history become optional, if not outright discouraged.

I had to explain to a coworker last week how farmers and truckers decide if city people get to eat or not. You should have seen the look on his face after about 3 seconds of contemplation.

I think often about what would happen if we just shredded our debit cards for a few years. Paid off any debt so no one is making interest off of us, refused to patronize any unbased businesses, bought any needed durable goods used from other patriots only, etc. It would take tens of millions of us to create a palpable ripple, but I like to think about it.

For a group of people who insist that there are dozens of potential genders that may or may not change at their discretion, they seem to get confused when Conservatives, Blacks, Latinos, Gays, and anyone else they can throw a label on don't conform to the rigid expectations that they assign to each demographic. Some conservatives are atheists. Some atheists celebrate Christmas, Easter, Chanukah, etc. Some Gays and Blacks own guns and vote straight Republican. Some Liberals own guns. Some Blacks can swim. It's almost like some people enjoy their own individual freedoms to do what makes them happy. It's too much for the leftists' diseased minds to process. I fucking love it.

Correct, but there was talk of them doing this themselves in 2016. And if Trump was in the same situation this time around, you'd better believe they'd be beating the same war drums again. Especially with Obama being into Kamala to his balls.

Yeah, I can't remember his name but a young filmmaker walked through a California University grounds, interviewing students about their feelings on Voter ID laws and then flew to the Harlem neighborhood of NYC and interviewed blacks on the street about whether they carried ID. It should have been horribly embarrassing to the movement, but it didn't seem to slow them down any.

I've never been registered in any state but Ohio, but they have a signature sample right in your registration info. I'd think that is even more critical when you don't see the voter in person.

Some states do. Mine (Ohio) requires evidence of identity with your correct address on it. A few years ago when the suject of national voter ID laws came up some groups seeded the idea into the minds of wealthy white college kids that it amounted to racism and voter suppression because poor blacks were too poor and ignorant to carry any form of identification. 🙄

We were there in 2019. Flew into Fairbanks, train to Anchorage, and home from there. Alaska Air just started service to Columbus, OH earlier that year. We have a huge airline credit from a Hawaii trip that never happened this year, thanks to their governor. I think we're going to use it to come back, hopefully during peak aurora season. You guys are truly the crown of North America.

Her boyfriend is a Secret Service agent. Allegedly, he got a week suspension after shoving Biden for this.

I have one made by Caldwell. I can't remember where I got it, but it's sure nice to have.

I toyed with acquiring an M1A a few years ago but opted for a well-built AR-10 instead. Who am I kidding, I'll end up with one anyway.
