This is the guy the NFL hired this year (big money) to solve their Kaepernick problem and buy peace. Big improvement, huh, from kneeling to sitting.
Agree 100% PaigeAshley. All that seemed to be missing were the drag queens, though some of the commercials came close. They'll get there, and soon.
I quit after the first half. The commercials were too awful for me, and here was no way I was going to watch that half time show. The whole thing seems to have an awful and sleazy vibe. Now they push the woke politics only slightly more subtly than the Oscars.
With respect, I don't believe your premises are correct.
The constitution of the US did not unite "different sovereign nations." Our colonies were never sovereign nations, they were colonies of England. When the Declaration of Independence was signed, the mass became known first as the United Colonies, and soon thereafter, the United States of America. From that moment forward, we were ONE nation comprised of many states. Our civil war would best be analogized to a situation where 1/2 of England decided to form its OWN country by splitting England itself in half.
The EU was basically a mere contractual agreement, with a built in "release clause" which Britain utilized. The situations thus are not remotely similar historically, legally, or practically.

Maybe they'll talk Bolton into showing up to sit on Schiff's lap.
Wow. Leftists love to inculcate hatred and fear in even the very young.
The left in Britain claims that Brexit passed due to the Russians. Now, within the last few weeks, they claim that Johnson's election was due to "Russian collusion." In the UK last month they actually published an editorial by none other than Christopher Steele making these outrageous claims, and HRC has repeated them. The swamp is worldwide and uses one playbook.
The left has corrupted, infiltrated and broken the very systems and organizations put in place to prevent corruption. Instead, they have weaponized those systems and organizations. This makes uncovering and fighting them very difficult using traditional means.
We (and I) make the mistake of being consumed by and obsessed with the DETAILS of these matters as framed by the media ("Will there be witnesses? Will Roberts be a tie breaker?" etc.) rather than focusing on the larger ongoing scheme against POTUS, its origins, and players. Rand Paul tried to broaden that focus as to the impeachment coup, and was slapped down.
Barr is still plodding through the investigation of Coup#1, and the dems have already completed Coup#2. They'll be on to #3 soon. Graham will do nothing but appear on Sunday shows. It is up to us to defend POTUS by doing our best to learn and disseminate the truth, and to work for his reelection. No one will do it for us. The standard Rs seem as helpless as a group of church ladies surrounded by an ANTIFA mob.
Bannon was on this morning, laid out what needs to be done, but did not appear at all hopeful.
He did the right thing. He's not a Senator. Would be a little like letting McConnell break a tie in the Supreme Court. Huge separation of powers issues. He's a presiding officer at the trial, that's it.
There were about 78,000 drug deaths last year. 4% decrease means that about 3000 fewer people died. Down for the first time in many years! That is very good, and I believe can be traced to some of POTUS' efforts.
The life expectancy number is way off, though. Life expectancy went up, but only by .1% (1/10th of one percent), or about one month. 4 years would be an impossible swing. https://nypost.com/2020/01/30/life-expectancy-in-the-us-rises-for-the-first-time-in-four-years/
If the lib wants to use Alexander as some sort of authority, fine. Just counter with Alexander's vote to acquit when he casts it on Wednesday.
So many parallels to our situation. The "remainers" even tried to use "Russian collusion" as a lie to stop Brexit, and as late as two weeks ago Hillary Clinton and Christopher Steele (!!!) were trying to push the same lie relative to Johnson's election victory.
And this sure sounds familiar too:
"...I think it’s worth remembering that the Remain campaign was an endless barrage of lies, bullying, paranoiac demagogy, and fraud."
Just like the 3 year attacks on POTUS over here.
Grim. Just grim. Music probably Soviet era songs like "Arise, Ye Prisoners of Starvation!" followed by "The Volga Boatmen" singalong.
I think the way it works now is if you don't spout the line, you don't work, you don't even get your foot in the door. Actors/singers now are a dime a dozen, most truly not very talented. They pick the ones they will boost based in large part on their willingness to turn their life over to leftism.
Just like with the media--they used to say "Well, it just so happens that journos are left because that's the type of person interested in the field." BS They make that claim about actors, artists, musicians too and it's a lie. It is a self fulfilling prophecy because of the gatekeeping of the left. It's a closed shop. Same with professors. The own the pop culture because they run the machinery that produces and markets that culture.
You would think that a guy that butt ugly would at least change his picture to a cartoon character or something.
Not really. He lost the first two primaries, one to Cruz and one to (believe it or not) Kasich, I think.
Stupid? She was the only political writer/analyst to predict a Trump primary win (when there were 16 other Rs in the race) and election win back in 2015 soon after Trump entered the race.
Everybody makes mistakes, but I sure wouldn't call her stupid. She has done much to effectively attack the left over the last 25 years, and was basically run out of the "club" for being so vociferous against illegal immigration when NO one in the R party and "conservative Inc." would go near that crucial issue.
Ultimate irony; Under Schiff's theory of what constitutes abuse of power, a vote to remove by these four would constitute an abuse of power, since Trump's removal would obviously benefit them politically. Under Dershowitz's theory, it would not be. Yet the dems mock Dershowitz, and canonize Schiff.
True. And you might only need a majority to begin the process. It starts with a resolution, then works its way through a committee, then eventually to the full House, and you are right, you need 2/3. I'd love to see him put through the process, even if we don't have the 2/3 to get him out. Give him a dose of his own crap.
I don't believe they swore the house managers. They swore in the Senators.
I wonder what US church stats look like, in terms of how many we have now vs. say 10 years ago. Every year I read that less and less people attend regularly.
If they can ever prove, for example, that Schiff lied about meeting with the whistleblower, Rs should initiate proceedings to remove him not just from the committee, but from the House. (The constitution calls for such a procedure rather than impeachment when it comes to House and Senate members.)
This effort would fail, since the dems now control that chamber, but it would be worthwhile nonetheless. If he provably and concretely lied about this matter, and about even knowing the identity of the "whistleblower" that conduct cannot be overlooked.
Sadly, it will take far more than one class to undue 16 years of miseducation. And consider--the kids he's dealing with are in law school, and thus presumably finished at the top end of their college graduating class. Think how woefully ignorant the others are.
She has perfected the art of the disbelieving look, concerned knitted brows and slight smirk whenever a pro-Trumper appears with her. Big changes over there and quite obvious.
Even if you live in a totally blue state you can still volunteer for the campaign and make phone calls. It's very simple, done via your computer. Calls are from a target list. Do as little or as much as you want--10 calls a day or 500, whatever you want.
If you want, you can door knock and even take part in things where blue state people travel to a neighboring state that's in play and work there for a weekend. There are lot of things to do.
And even small contributions help. Bloomberg and others will dump amounts into the dem candidate that will dwarf any amounts ever seen.
The election won't win itself. Lots of sheep out there still only know what they see on MSM and will have some vague idea that Trump has done "something wrong" though they won't know exactly what that it. Years of relentlessly negative treatment can have an effect. The election is not in the bag.
it will take them quite a while to totally extricate themselves from all the deals they are tied to. Farage and his folks will try to keep the heat on, but the left won't quit over there. Nonetheless, there is simply no denying that today was momentous, and a tremendous step forward.
Nothing this weekend would shock me. Who the hell knows, they may have talked Bolton into giving an interview with some lefty talking head on Sunday. Doubtful, but nothing is beneath them. All weekend will be one non-stop lying marathon.
Nothing wrong with the Queen, she's squared away. As for the others though...not so much.
I think it just means the post was edited at some point. Edit your post and then see if the asterisk shows up.
Some will probably pull some incredibly cheesy stuff, like putting tape over their mouths, or wearing black armbands or ribbons. Maybe they'll turn their backs, won't applaud, won't stand, etc. Clothing--black pussy hats. Who knows. Mainly they'll just grunt, groan, and grimace and behave like punks, I imagine.
You've got to go back. Maybe Steve McQueen had his moments (Bullitt). Paul Newman (before he was outed as a raging lefty) in Cool Hand Luke. Before that--Robert Mitchum, Lee Marvin. John Wayne was good. Hell most actors in the old days at least sounded like men.
Some eccentric ones too, like old Harry Dean Stanton was cool. Think he's dead--he was eaten in Alien, right? Plus there were tons of character actors who sometimes made 2 or 300 movies and were always great. All these are a little earlier than you're asking about, but that's the best I can do.
Let me add two: Ben Johnson. Sean Connery in "The Hill" (little known gem, the brit Cool Hand Luke) or any Bond movie.
Back again with: Lee Van Cleef
You got me laughing, I will admit it and make no apologies. You take the crown.
Few more details FOX wouldn't print. WARNING: Shower needed after this one.

Here you go. Don't say I didn't warn you. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/harvey-weinstein-trial-jessica-mann_n_5e347d1ac5b69a19a4aee0aa
The House has basically hired their own intel agency. Government within government under control of Pelosi/Schiff. Designed to gather/manufacture leaks, false claims, and utilize for political harm/impeachment.
Excellent article. Learned a lot, including how they changed the Non-disclosure agreement rules as part of laying the groundwork in this latest coup attempts.
One of Rand Paul's questions was directly aimed at this entire scheme.
In the interest of anatomical correctness: Victim testified no testicles, massive scarring and....the rest is frankly too gross to repeat here, so I'll pass. At first I would have sworn this was just a joke, but several news outlets (NOT 'The Onion) have gone into some rather excruciating detail as to this testimony. Suffice to say--only those with very strong stomachs need apply.
Leftists always double down, especially after demonstrable failure.
Smoooooooooth!! Gonna do that myself at the appropriate moment, bottle already purchased and near at hand.
Dems now move into "we will hold our breath until we pass out" stage. Next few days will just be endless procedural bullshit votes, more timed leaks of crap they've had all along, amplified by NY Times first, then all media, and maybe some childish dramatic acts like turning their backs on POTUS at SOTU while wearing black pussy hats or something.
Really no avoiding it, just tune out and wait for the inevitable WIN WIN WIN WIN!
I assume you are talking about primary election.
They will push him for Senate once Feinstein leaves, which won't be far off.
Misko is 'whistleblower's' buddy. Hired by Schiff as a staffer right after the phone call, within a day as I recall. Paul is exactly right here.
No, of course they wouldn't. But why give them a helping hand with their bullshit propaganda? She should vote and STFU.
EDIT: She now has a longer statement out there that is substantially better, talks about and condemns dems for trying to unfairly involve Supreme Court, etc. She did a bit better than I thought.
Not totally. Read her last paragraph. It will be used by left to spin senate trial as unfair, exactly what they want. She said "It is impossible to have a fair trial in the Senate....Congress has failed as an institution."
Just vote Lisa, don't ad lib.
That's a wild video. Does anyone know if that is today? Old socialist Pelosi apparently being mobbed and literally shouted down by the new breed commies. Wow.
She screws things up even when she is apparently trying to help. Why did she add that last paragraph. "There can be no fair trial in the Senate..." Gives the Dems their talking point, i.e., the Senate trial was somehow unfair.
Truth is McConnell and the Rs in the Senate had the ultimate and absolute power over the rules. Had they desired, questions about the phony whistleblower could have been asked. That's the bottom line. The Senate has the power to vote to override any decision of the chair--that is in the rules themselves. So, I think the truth is that McConnell and the rest of the Rs didn't want to go down that road, or down the witness road, but to end it fairly expeditiously. Who knows.
You have a browser that doesn't even give you a choice of search engines? Most just have a default but allow you to set that to DuckDuckGo, Startpage, or whatever you like.
That is a rare and great photo, if for no other reason that you never see POTUS without the tie.
The dreams of a psychotic nobody. Not even worth a passing glance.
Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is knowledge. Ugly is beautiful. No logic on the left, just continual redefinition of terms to meet the need of the day.
I'm sure she was praying for POTUS, just like Nancy, right?
Awful video. Shoes the utter hatred they have for us and for POTUS. This is all about inflicting pain, doing damage to our elected POTUS. They have abused their power of office in an unforgivable way, bringing a baseless case for pure partisan gain. It is the worse abuse of power I have ever seen in my lifetime, I kid you not. They must be defeated in November, just crushed.
The moment we're apparently heading toward was scripted from the start--50/50 vote on witness issue. As early as 1/14 Washington Post headline read as follows:
"Dems can get witnesses in Senate with 50 votes if Roberts does his job."
The whole trial was designed to work these three weak Rs. Murkowski could stop the nonsense, of course, but probably won't have the guts, so we'll be 50-50.
Thus, we'll see an ugly day or so with dems screaming about Roberts giving them what they want. All left media today will harp on his "legacy" and all that garbage. He won't do it though, not a chance in hell of that happening, but it gives them a way to spin the trial even more when he refuses. You know what they'll say.
Won't happen. Dems will scream for it, lie about it, spin it, but it will end. Murkowski, of course, could prevent all this but she's the worst.
Saw a couple of interviews with her a while back. She's very smart. Had to look up "cockwomble" though. Basically means obnoxious twit. As for "chuffing Tyler" , got not clue.
It's not unavailable. Click on the purple header, not the screen.
Really! It's like "Wow! One guy told the truth out of 80 hours of negative coverage!" Rare as hell.
Haven't gotten a satisfactory answer to that myself. Just opinions. 50-50 is motion does not carry. They claim that theoretically Roberts could step in, but the only authority I've heard for the proposition is some talking head saying that some justice did it a couple of times during an impeachment trial in the 1800s. My guess is it ain't gonna happen. Hell, if Murkowski would get a clue the issue would be moot.
Never figured that out either. There must be thousands of crazed leftists vying for that coveted spot, but he's always there.
"Jerry, Jerry---FATASS!! You're carrying the wrong scripted answer up there!"
It would be very much better if we could get 51 rather than 50. At 50 the screams and cries for Roberts to step in will be deafening. He won't, but then they'll also blame the SC for their own screwup and weak case. Murkowski--awful. Just awful.
Murkowski is so horrible. She actually voted against the Kavanaugh confirmation, the only R to do so. Collins voted for Kavanaugh. Maybe they're switching this time--Collins votes for witnesses, Murk. bites the bullet and votes no wits. Either way, I'm sick to death of decades of this crap from this pair of needy drama queens.
Very useful. We're at the point now where a large proportion of new posts are from accounts only minutes old, just churning. Hide is good.
Not talking to you, or about you. It was kinda rhetorical.
I hear that "Clock Boy" gets the call on head of the AEC.
Am I the only guy here without 5000 accounts? Have I been talking to one person all this time? I must ponder this most heavy of thoughts. I feel like the guy in "The Man Who Was Thursday". And today is ...Thursday.
That's OK. Susan Collins just sent a question up to the chair:
"Help me. What should me and Lisa DOOOOOOO!?!?!?!?!"
Depends what you mean by "interfere". Used to mean vote tampering, cyber attacks, foreign donations, etc. Now it seems to mean "anything that would hurt any dem, anywhere, such as exposing dem crimes."
KEK
Damn, Phil Hendrie has nuthin' on you! Love the "tee hee" and the "if I do say so myself, (blush)".
Can't you just picture grading notes of the teacher?
"Student 14: Still resistant to indoctrination: Note to self to intensify guilt tripping'
"Student 15: Hard-core Deplorable. Report to dean for hate thought, make note to make sure no grad school for this one.
"Student 16: Easily programmed. She has internalized the lesson well. Have her inform on her peers for extra credit."
Seriously, is there a finer looking woman in the US? Sure can't think of one.
Thank you for the forthcoming answer Justice R.
KEK
Sounds like a perfectly legit question to me, in view of the argument that the House had no authority to issue subpoenas in the first place, thus resistance to them could not possibly constitute "obstruction of congress'. If true this would constitute a rather ironclad defense to that article. What's wrong with you, Roberts?
Me too. I'm still a-lookin' for that dadgummed Youcrane on muh map. I'll lick it yet!
Well, he wasn't planted. The constitution expressly requires that the Chief Justice to preside over the trial, just like Renquist did over the Clinton impeachment. I share your distrust of Roberts, but he's there by mandate.
Utter brainwashing. Dehumanizing, demoralizing, branding. Invitation to see group as target of violence. Can you imagine doing this to any other race or group?
They claim they don't know whistleblower's identity. This is apparently a lie that both parties are perfectly comfortable living with at the trial. Clear that preset rules behind the scenes rules this subject out of bounds. If not, how explain Roberts action? In theory, he doesn't know either, so why keep out a question merely because it had a name in it? The ONLY question disallowed.
Paul was the only Senator out of 100 who would ask the question anyway. Other 99 united in the lie. Why?
Farage always looks like a guy who really enjoys being alive. Hope they bring him over again during the campaign. Oh how I wish he had Johnson's spot.
Trying to determine friend from foe in the Ukraine is pretty tricky, as Giuliani found out the hard way. Let this play out but POTUS doesn't need further involvement at this time. The truth will bubble up, as apparently is the case in France now. Graham, get off your ass and have your promised hearing at Senate Judiciary.
I remember the night Brexit first passed, a few months before our 2016 election. Good harbinger for Trump then. "Rule, Britannia" was playing to a huge crowd in Trafalgar square or somewhere or other. Very cool.
It is close to meme perfection, even down to the computer chosen.
61 rallies, age 60. Age 60!! Age 60!!!
That's better than shooting your age in golf. You GO, Pede!
That seems like the most likely motivation for all of this. All those anti-Trump deep-staters on the call and none of them ran to Schiff. Only the "whistleblower", who wasn't even on the call, but sure as hell knew the danger to Biden and others if the Ukraine actually investigated.
Because they didn't want to litigate the obvious privilege claims in court (that would take a while and would be playing by the rules) so they figured there were 4 or 5 weak Rs in the Senate that would submit to political blackmail and let them pull their bullshit in the Senate. Kavanaugh. Same targets exactly, except for Flake, who is long gone.
He's not there yet. He has filed a motion to withdraw his plea, his request has not been granted. It should be, but we'll see. If the motion is granted, I think things may drag out for many months. Then if by Nov. it is still going on, there may well be a presidential pardon, obviating the need for a trial.
Crime: Publishing and promoting a book in Canada about a candidate (Trudeau) without obtaining government permission. This interrogation tape is unbelievable. You need a First Amendment up there, Canucks.
Unbelievable. To write and promote a book in Canada about a candidate (Trudeau) during the election requires government permission. Failure to get that permission is a crime. I started watching this video and just couldn't stop. This is where the left wants to take us here. Thank God I live in the United States of America. We cannot go the way of Canada.
It's been a rotten day for them. They are giving up and making just pitiful arguments. As an example, after having their noses rubbed in the fact that neither of their articles even charges an impeachable offense, Fat Jerry Nadler just got up and argued "Well, we really charged bribery too. It sort of included in the idea of abuse of power." KEK
Wow, happened quicker than I thought!
