Notice that these leftist altruists wouldn't give the sweat off their empty ballsacks for the American kids who don't think their USC tuition should go to fucking lame-ass online classes.

They're Communist Internationalists (my generation's 'globalists'). Perverse Comintern lunatics are the only people I know who'd help total strangers...in some other country...ahead of their own family or own countrymen. That's what communism brainwashes its cultists into believing: that others come ahead of one's own, or one's self.

"USA was built by people who left their Old World tyrannies behind, and went on a courageous quest to build something better." Yes, and my mother was among them. She went through a kafkaesque amount of nonsense to get here: she lost everything when the vengeful Turkish government seized her worldly goods and let her leave with 75 liras $25 and the clothes on her back; and, she valued dearly what she could scrape together with my dad. Nothing they had, in the 50 years they were married, was ever handed to her by the government--not even raggedy-ass ballots printed in her native language because, you see, she wasn't one of the government's pampered pet races. She was just a Turk.

I'm one of the much-maligned boomers who took my obligations to this country seriously. I'm in my 60s now; and, I've been teaching since the 80s and voting rightwing since I was old enough to vote. I battled leftist profs in the 70s to the detriment of my gpa, and got 5 degrees in politics and history, so I could know what the hell all these terms being bandied about actually mean. I've done my part, including massing an arsenal of guns. I'll go down fighting because my spouse and I have a daughter, whose future in the nation I want to safeguard.

You, on the other hand, appear to despise people like me and are on a quest to blackpill and demoralize us with your negativity: "Those are mere words. What will you do in reality if Trump loses? Will you keep obeying the "leftist traitors" and continue to pay them taxes?" Let me ask you, what are YOU planning to do? What have you actually done till now?? I've spent my career in academia as an energizer bunny of campus conservatism, redpilling generations to undo the mischief and malice of my own marxist profs. What are you doing to make things right??

I have a few questions:

  • What about the black indentured servant from Angola, Anthony Johnson, who was the first individual recognized by Virginia colony law to have the right to own slaves? If the first black slave was owned by a black man, do modern blacks have to pay themselves reparations?

  • Moreover, if modern blacks are responsible for 93% of the deaths of other blacks, how much monetary responsibility do modern blacks bear for redressing the "lingering negative effects" on their society?

  • If the issue of reparations becomes law, do modern black millionaires and billionaires have to divest themselves of their income, which was gained through a tainted and illegitimate capitalist system "built on the laboring backs of black slaves"?

  • Since England, then Great Britain, controlled the American colonies from 1607 to 1783, and profited from the labor of both black and white colonists in furtherance of mercantilism, how much of the reparations burden is the UK's to bear?

  • If reparations are to be assessed, will the federal government be paying out to the descendants of the 550,000 Union soldiers whose bloated corpses were baking under the sun?

  • Will the assessed total of those reparations be subtracted from the trillions paid out as welfare since 1964?

  • And finally, since it's late, is the reparations money tree a one time shakedown, or is modern society to be paying in perpetuity as a form of reverse slavery of the modern taxpayer?

Systemic leftism. Liberalism is the absolute last thing on these communofascist anarchists' minds. Liberals sought to liberate the peasantry from their capricious and tyrannical kings; not to deliver them into the clutches of much-worse political horrors.

I'm not the one pulling down statues and burning the American flag, so I don't have to make my case for either staying or fleeing. The leftists do, though. And so far, they haven't been convincing beyond screeching that the answer is communofascism.

It never recovered from the blow dealt to it through the treachery of another supposed Christian state. You must be a Catholic apologist to be able to so casually dismiss what was done.

Half the reason that the empire was able to fend off other comers was due to the fact that the Byzantines earned their stereotype by being, well, byzantine. They had a saying: "better the turban of the Turk than the miter of the pope" so, they married their princesses to the Ottoman emirs and were thus able to get the Turks of the ghazi marches to fight on their behalf against the Sassanid Persians, the Akkoyunlu and Karakoyunlu Turkmen in eastern Anatolia, the Kurds and, yet again, the Venetians.

Once the Anatolian pacification was complete, the Turks bypassed Constantinople entirely and went into the Balkans to conquer the Slavs, Bulgars, Ionian Greeks, etc. because even though Constantinople's walls hadn't been breached with 13-15th c. technology, didn't mean that the Byzantines could rest easy--there were other European-side troublemakers to pacify. Indeed, when the Turks came back to their conquest of the city, they hired Venetian foundry and casting technicians to build them the cannon to do it.

Also, the Turks have been many things, but "savages" are not one of them. Savagery is what you're seeing in the Seattle/NYC area right now; and what happens in Chicago, well, every day. Don't let your anti-Turk/Muslim bias turn you into an irrational bigot--that's what leftists do, not us.

Constantinople wouldn't need to be taken back from the Turks if the Catholic Venetians hadn't treacherously sacked the city in the 4th Crusade in 1204. The Byzantine emperor and his administration had opened the gates, as they always had, to allow the Crusaders to rest and replenish themselves before continuing on to Jerusalem.

The Byzantines didn't know that the Venetians had cut a deal with the Crusaders in exchange for the passage fee: this time, sack and deliver the city into Catholic hands and we'll call it even. The emperor's government wasn't expecting the treachery, so they were caught completely unawares by those they considered FELLOW-CHRISTIANS. They were compelled to flee to Nicaea to keep from getting captured and killed.

The Byzantine emperor and his court maintained a government in exile for the next 58 years before they could mount a recapture. In the interim, the Venetians flooded the city with Catholic clergy and forcibly rebaptized its Orthodox citizenry into Catholicism.

Upon its recapture, the emperor allowed its converted population the choice of recoversion back to Orthodoxy or leaving. Those who left, moved up to the Bessarabian area of Romania and were known as the Uniates or Greek Catholics. The city, however, was done. Its treasures had been hauled away to grace the palazzos of Venice and the city never recovered.

Before we talk about forcing the Turks to do anything, let's talk about compelling the Venetians to give back the city's treasures. While we're at it, we can talk to the French, too, since Napoleon captured Venice in 1804 and used the loot (along with what he got from the sale of Louisiana the previous year), to march his army into central Europe to abolish the Holy Roman Empire in 1805. They'll need to return their share of the stolen treasures of the Great City, too.

Edit: in fact, if we want to get down to the nitty-gritty, we'll have to undo the resumption of western trade with Asia, the Renaissance, the Reformation, and the Industrial Revolution, as well, since the vast hoard of loot pillaged from Constantinople was responsible for financing Venice's rise as a banking center (if: "it takes money to make money"...what do you think they were using as capital in order to make money??), their venture into long-distance Silk Road trade, and all the intellectual, artistic, spiritual and technological spinoffs that came with a moneyed economy.

Proof that leftism is a death cult: these asshats have been falling all over themselves for decades for an opportunity to bask in the Clinton aura...even if it kills 'em.

FreedomFromGovt 3 points ago

Nope. My job isn't to leave, it's to compel the other sonofabitch to leave. My father fought in shitholes around the planet till he's now a broken-down 86 year old with no feet.

That flag is its own set of principles: 550,000 Union soldiers bloated under the baking sun to preserve it and the Constitution for which it stands: One Nation Under God.

I don't give a fuck about Biden or Nanzi or Schumer or Kamala or any other leftist traitor they've groomed in the wings. It's they who have to go. Not me.

Don't burn the flag; it's the only rallying point we have. Burn the enemy, instead. If Trump loses, we should be torching the entire urban landscape for being the bastions of communism they are. Urbanism is our enemy, since it attracts and nurtures the hiveminded vermin that infest them.

Not Trump. He's the only one who wants this woman singing like a fat, opera diva.

They don't hate America as much as they love power. America is a useful vehicle, no more. They're indifferent to its needs or its fate, so long as it still runs and gets them to their destination without dying on the side of the road.

Once again, Dems are using blacks as a stepping stone to power, and flushing them once they've achieved their ends. Has anything changed in the last 200 years of the Dem party?? Anything at all??

Gee, where the fuck has Brit been for the last 4 years...sitting in his Rockefeller Center Ivory Tower, beating off to framed photos of the Kenyan in Chief??!

We citizens been watching this outrageous shitshow play out, day after day after day after day.

The law of averages and common fucking logic should have the stories at 50/50 since...you knowww...HALF the electorate voted for him.

We don't think he's illigitimate; and, we would like our money's worth outta this goddam government that demands 1/3 of our earnings in order to kneel in the Rotunda with some fucking slaver cloths around their nasty, scrawny necks!!

The left never sleeps. Never. They will probe until they find the one, single weakness that'll bring a person to his knees. This covid bullshit happens to be Adams' weakness: he's scared of it and it's caused him to melt.

Europeans can stick their outrage about Mount Rushmore (sculpted by a Danish-American named John Gutzon Borglum) straight up their pansy assholes. Borglum sculpted the bas relief on Stone Mountain, GA, too. He was one of the very few artists in the world who preferred to work in gigantic scale. He also had a giant sculpture planned for Texas, too, but ran out of funding. Borglum loved America and wanted to see its larger-than-life historical characters anchored in permanent oversize form--like the nation itself.

BTW, My spouse & I took our daughter to see Stone Mountain several years ago. It happened to be packed that day due to a family reunion (obvious by their matching purple t-shirts that said: 'So-and-so Family Reunion'). The hundreds of people of that particular family were...black.

Not possible, for one reason: adrenaline is the fight-or-flight hormone, not the rational discourse hormone. One can't get worked into a towering rage and still make nuanced, philosphical debate points.

On the bright side: back in the 70s, my leftist profs discriminated against me enough that it launched me on my own academic career to undo all the communofascist and revisionist mischief they'd wrought. I've been redpilling my students since the 1980s. I take deep and vengeful satisfaction in knowing that my old, leftist profs can't do shit about it because they're all dead and I'm still going strong; semester after semester after semester. I'm like the Energizer Bunny of campus conservatism. And, when I'm not in class, I'm here, continuing my mission.

OP, this is a low-effort post title. The only people I've ever heard taking vicious and unworthy digs at Greg Abbott's paralysis have been my repulsive, oh-so-sensitive, leftist "colleagues" at my university.
