Also a very important battle going on in my great state. The dems pushed a Constitutional Amendment giving felons their voting rights back after serving their terms, with some exceptions. As a matter of honesty I voted for this as I was under the impression that any released felon trying to restore their right to vote owed at that point nothing to "society" but boy was I wrong. Now the GOP is pushing back hard to make sure all of a felons terms of release are met including court costs and other financial things. I was ignorantly assuming this was a given when it was passed but alas, that wasnt the game. Our awesome Governor has stopped it at this point but it will be pushed before 2020 time trust me....and you barely hear a word about it anymore
If this were any other corp, nothing would be said. So a company who stands behind its Christian beliefs gives a questionable charity 2500 bucks and thats bankrolling? And all these Christian people yelling at CFA about this and the latest on their giving seems to be missing some points. Its their money Even Christian businessmen make mistakes You do not have to eat there And Jesus said love your neighbor as you love yourself.
am I wrong??
I wholeheartedly agree, but speaking from a victims standpoint (which I am) I never had any of my medical bills nor lost wages paid back to me from the beating I sustained from 3 men because, and I quote, they were bored. The restitution was part of their sentence. After they were released from jail they went on their merry ways( all except one, he was later found guilty of murder after beating a man to death the very next night after my beating down) and never a word was said. So in my opinion, being released from jail does not always mean you have "served" your sentence. Those guys should still have no right to vote IMO
