Want to be more pissed? Half of every dollar the government spends is debt. AKA inflation. RIP your purchasing power

Upvote from Illinois here. I was just told by a Jewel employee at checkout that I must wear a mask to shop. She said there was a sign on the door (there wasn't).
No one has ACTUALLY READ the executive order which says you ONLY need to wear a mask in public if you can't keep a 6-foot distance from others. People have lost their minds.

Is there a NSFW feature request in the works? That would be awesome, and an ability to hide all NSFW posts automatically. MAGA

This.....holy crap this might be right. If this is true this might be some 4D chess that I never saw coming. America on a gold standard again? I think at that point I might actually get tired of winning. Or when he gets to appoint RBGs replacement.

Don't worry this won't affect women in the most liberal places like Minnesota because they already wear full burkas.

I didn't say I wanted the American economy to fail, I want it to grow like crazy. But like Trump said when he was running for president, the economy was a huge bubble and it was a fake recovery under Obama.

I'm just saying that individuals and corporations should reap what they've sown and the Fed shouldn't print money because it devalues the dollar and only makes the bubble worse. Let the bubble pop. Don't try and prop it up with a bunch of monetary cocaine. We need to go to rehab, raise rates, and probably default on some of our creditors (like China).

Yeah but collapse =/= bankruptcy. I'm not talking about industries going away. I'm talking about letting businesses that made poor financial decisions go bankrupt. If a business can't pay its bills during a crisis like this, that's not the government's fault, it's the business owner's fault. Their business continuity plan wasn't good enough.

The news media acts like letting these airlines or cruise industries fail means we won't have any planes or boats anymore. Another owner will immediately come in and buy them, at a discount, then the newly purchased company won't have any debt because it will be discharged in bankruptcy. Then that newly recovered company can offer more competitive pricing, which is BETTER for consumers because it leads to lower prices. The new owner will also realize that daddy Fed won't bail them out if they make the same mistakes as the last owner. Free market capitalism is our only chance at fixing this issue. It will suck for a few years, but otherwise we're only going to pump this bubble even bigger and it will lead to someone like Bernie Sanders or AOC becoming president, and then we're TOTALLY screwed.

If this ordeal has shown me anything it’s the frightening speed at which Americans are willing to give up their freedom to assemble, freedom of religion, and freedom to live their lives without government intervention. People who question what the CDC or state, local or federal governments recommend are shamed and seen as conspiracy theorists.

I am more concerned that the state is able to “declare an emergency” and shut down churches. They are trampling on the first amendment because some invisible Chinese germy bois on surfaces.

Facebook algorithm is hiding posts critical of the virus and the actions taken by government. State governments are stealing our civil liberties before our eyes. Where is Judicial Watch on this?

Robbing and stealing food? I think you’ve been watching too much TV news. I’m not saying you need to start your own business, I’m saying leave your crappy job because your employer isn’t responsible for your well being and neither is the government. I’m sure UPS, Walmart delivery, and areas related to healthcare are looking to speed hire some people to meet demand.

This bill isn’t proposing that you would be paid by the gov based on what you’ve paid in taxes, it’s proposing to mandate businesses to provide these benefits to their employees which will cause an undue burden to small business owners.

If you have a crappy employer, leave with your dignity. Don’t rely on daddy government to act as a union mob boss to strong arm your employer in to paying you to not work.

Not the government’s responsibility. Put on your big boy pants fellow centipede, there’s plenty of economic opportunity in a crisis.
