I feel like we need a way to look up our own votes, like a carbon copy or receipt with a serial number, even if it makes our votes linkable to our names.

I thought for sure it was gonna be Cruz vs Clinton back 16. They always go for generic used car salesman vibe neocon types. Was pleasantly surprised it went to Trump, and surprised again when Cruz turned out to be a fairly based ally. Maybe just negative thinking after rooting for Ron Paul all those years. We all grow.

After he’s inaugurated again he should create a new political party. The MAGA Party.

For me it was with Ron Paul via the antiwar movement. Was part of IVAW when I got out and went to marches, but it felt more pro-Democrat than antiwar. At first it made sense, since these were Bush’s wars. But I grew disillusioned when the people in that movement didn’t care for the only antiwar candidate. Spent a few years going down the libertarian rabbit hole. I guess it was a way to hold onto some liberal social views that nowadays has gone off the SJW deep end. Eventually got tired of circle jerking about the perfect ancap society. Then I found the dank memes at The Donald.

Animals suffering is a soft spot for me. They’re innocent. I could see a compilation video of firing squads, but animals being hurt? Nope.

I miss Ron Paul. Even drove to DC for a Veterans for Paul march. Hated Republicans since Bush's wars and patriot act, and learned from the anti-war marches I went to that I didn't fit in with the degenarate left either. So libertarian it was. Trump is so different from Republicans of 12 years ago. He's as far from McCain and Romney as he is Pelosi. When I voted Libertarian in 08 and 12, I knew they were just protest votes. In 16, voting for Trump was refreshing, as I was finally voting FOR rather than AGAINST.

When not even the NRA believes in self defense, it makes me want to support accelerationism. Just go ahead and defund and dismantle the police and justice system, like the terrorists want. Then those of us who fear and respect the law will be free to overcome its shortcomings.

I started watching it just because Karl Urban is in it. He's badass.

So far they're pretty successful because they know we're decent people who just want to be left alone and live in a Thomas Kinkade or Norman Rockwell painting. We speak softly but put away the big stick, because that's what the good guys do. They know it and count on it. I think there's truth to that quote about strong men leading to good times leading to weak men leading to hard times. We just assume it's the "gibmes" being the weak men, but us "silent majority leave me alones" are too. Things have to get much worse and hopeless for decent people to start mustering courage to replace the complacency.

I swap to it when the big local AM news station is doing one of their 30 minute infomercials disguised as an interview. Listening to NPR, you'd think this country is 90% transgender black immigrants. It's all they talk about. But hey, they have such calm generic radio voices, they couldn't possibly be biased...
