HAPPY BREXIT DAY

You only need a block heater if you're turning the engine off for 8+ hours (depends on temperature and wind). Otherwise, the engine will run and stay running until the fuel runs out, which at idle is relatively efficient. Internal combustion engines heat themselves naturally as a byproduct of generating power, instead of requiring an additional draw of resources. This waste heat can be used to heat the cabin and passengers.

Electric cars need a constant heat source to keep the passengers warm, as well as to keep the batteries warm enough to keep the motors running. At cold temps it is incredibly inefficient in terms of how much battery power is used to do these two tasks, in addition to powering the vehicle as it accelerates.

If they made a product that worked reliably in the cold (real cold, not Florida 'cold') then more people would be driving them.

It has nothing to do with where they're manufactured. If Tesla was interested in selling more units in cold climates, then they should've made them more resilient. Until then, the car companies that sell vehicles with internal combustion engines will pick up the sales (everyone but Tesla).

That's because Bernie bought his house off a scummy pond, not off a lake. If it was truly "lakefront" then it would be over $1M.

China's number of nuclear powered submarines: 10 and growing

Russia's number of nuclear powered submarines: 37 and growing

United States' number of nuclear powered submarines: 68 and growing

Canada's number of nuclear powered submarines: 0, no plans for any purchases

These are plain and simple numbers illustrating who effectively has control of the arctic UNDERNEATH the ice, and it isn't the country that so-called "owns" the land.

If the States are going to have to spend billions of dollars protecting North America and Canada's arctic "sovereignty", then they may as well take a large cut of whatever is there for themselves. Nearly nobody lives there, so just make the "Canadian" arctic a US territory already.

Just because he was hired by his brother doesn't mean we 'like' him. However he seems to be the most reputable and trustworthy expert involved in this case (compared to the one done by the state where they rushed to the conclusion of suicide), and these photos further prove Dr. Baden's assessment that it was strangulation, not hanging.

From the article: "Dr Baden said the wound across Epstein's neck was more common with someone who has been strangled with a wire instead of a hanging. He said that in most hangings, it was common for the ligature to slide up towards the jaw bone and not rest in the middle of one's neck." ... "Dr Baden said the injuries on his body also showed contusions on both wrists, muscle hemorrhaging in his left shoulder and an abrasion of his left arm. Epstein also had a cut on his lip and burst capillaries on his face, mouth and eyes, according to the autopsy."

You have an extremely myopic view of things.

What makes the arctic "Canadian" if Canada doesn't have the capability to patrol beneath the ice? The Canadian Navy is stuck in the Cold War with diesel-electric subs that don't have anywhere near the operating capability of nuclear-powered subs, especially in the Arctic.

Canada only owns the airspace above the ice; all of the real valuables are being left unattended for Russia (and potentially China, in the future) to take, unless the US wants the valuables for themselves.

Oil and natural gas (~22% of the world's supply), iron, copper, nickel, bauxite (aluminum), phosphates (fertilizer), diamonds, zinc, and more. Currently only Russia has their head in the game and has icebreakers and nuclear subs to take advantage of the arctic's vast material wealth. It's only a matter of time that they come closer and closer into Canadian waters looking for more resources to extract.

ABC News is owned by Disney.

Disney has a habit of giving a slap on the wrist (transfer to another project/department) to agents that are reported for diddling their underage actors and actresses, singers, and musicians, and that's when it's reported. Most of the time the children don't tell their parents or authorities because they're threatened with being blacklisted and failing their dreams. The adults ply the kids with alcohol and drugs and have their way with them. The industry turns a blind eye to it.

No doubt Epstein was involved in one way or another, that's one of the many reasons why they killed the story.

If by "most of Canada" you mean the geographic majority of the country that gets ignored by politicians except for Toronto, Montreal, and all the other bums and creeps from the cities out East, then I'd agree.

In terms of who has political control, this is what the "new Canada" looks like. Canada doesn't have the electoral college that allows rural Americans to still have a voice in their own country come election time. Canada doesn't have the political willpower nor any foreseeable ability to overhaul their Constitution, so it will be eternally broken.

50pointsahead [S] (2 points)

Yes, it is. The point is that we're killing our own country, and it's a warning for the States to keep true to their Constitution and to never ever follow Canada's lead when it comes to political policy.

A reminder that these beliefs are not "liberal" or "extremely liberal":

Liberal, from Merriam Webster: 'a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of the human race, and the autonomy of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties'

These far-left beliefs that more and more in the Democrat party are standing for are authoritarian: 'of, relating to, or favoring blind submission to authority', 'of, relating to, or favoring a concentration of power in a leader or an elite not constitutionally responsible to the people'.

The 'leaders and elite not constitutionally responsible to the people' are all the alphabet people and their agencies. By taking away the 2nd Amendment it would take away the intrinsic right to overthrow a tyrannical, authoritarian government, when one arises again in the future. The government will have tightened it's hold on the freedoms of all Americans, and the useful idiots in the Democrat party will be to blame.
