No, what you said was

"Well, I didn't do it. I won't take responsibility for it." However you should. It IS your past.

You're asking people to shoulder the weight of slavery as if they are somehow responsible. Seems like a plea for collective guilt to me.

That has nothing to do with collective guilt. That's just teamwork.

You're literally arguing for collective guilt but you don't want collectivism. You're trying to use the transitive property of equalities in order to assign guilt. Do you understand how stupid that is? If you don't want to be insulted, don't say ridiculous shit like how we should shoulder the weight of something we did nothing to create nor perpetuate.

No, I have a part in upholding the ideals I agree with, which happen to resonate in the words of the founding fathers. I'm not in a cult. Just because I agree with quite a bit of our founding principles does not make me bear the sins of the individuals that perpetuated their own evils.

I never said I don't have a connection to my nation. I never said I'm ungrateful for our forefathers, or those who sacrificed to bring this nation forward. I however do state that I am not George Washington, and his accomplishments are not my own. I praise his action, but his action is not mine. We are a nation of individuals, which is the soul of freedom. If you want collectivism, move to a commie hellhole. If you want to cuck yourself over things you've no part in, that's on you. I'm not doing it, and if you do you're pathetic.

I am not my nation, I am a citizen within the nation, and every success and mistake my nation makes is not my responsibility or burden in so much as I affect it. I did not affect slavery, nor did I affect MKULTRA, nor did I affect any other fucking thing post my birth. I'm a citizen and I'm proud of the good my country does on a collective level, but I use that as fuel for optimism. If you want to burden me with the mistakes of organizations I have no seat or purchase in, well, how about you put what you feel my portion of the burden is around your neck and go jump into whatever lake of soy is nearest to you.

Exactly, by OP's rationale I should be taking responsibility for every English conquest, every Viking war. All blacks should be taking responsibility for the Rwandan genocide. Fuck all that nonsense.

Fuck you. I'm not taking responsibility for something I had no part in.

I thought they lived in Fattsburg, and Abortistan.

Exactly this. They infiltrate everything, and then establish their dogma within. They are literally parasitic.

Hate crimes are bullshit, no matter who they're "protecting." Creating more protected classes is just the continuation of some-animals-are-more-equal-than-others. It's antithetical to the principle embodied in a blindfolded lady justice.

If her entire community showed up, all the men, she would've never even needed to be there. She stood alone because they wouldn't. Part of me doesn't blame them, due to how they would be demonized by the press for doing what's right, but the other part of me thinks they're cowards.

That old woman is braver than most of the men in her community. She shows exactly what these horrible people are. Willing to assault an elderly woman, scream in her face, just beyond despicable.

This is absolutely amazing, however I have to wonder if they did this to somehow compromise the case against her. I don't know how it would, but that was the first thing in my mind.

I've hated Grinding Gear Games ever since they sold the company to Tencent. It's nice seeing them getting fucked over this. Their subreddit is in damage control mode right now.

I'd prefer if all hate crime legislation was just gone forever. I miss back when crime was crime.

"The best people possess a feeling for beauty, the courage to take risks, the discipline to tell the truth, the capacity for sacrifice. Ironically, their virtues make them vulnerable: they are often wounded, sometimes destroyed." ~ Ernest Hemingway

He explains everything in a family update posted a week or so ago. Highly recommended watching.
