Long story short, I'm currently being forced to do a research paper on gun violence and ways it could be prevented. Teachers are far leftists, but this is still high school, so I don't have to worry qbout being kicked out or failing the classes. Do you guys have any good information and arguments to use, especially pertaining to media dishonesty of the subject? I would be very thankful for any help.

Research the debates over the Bill of Rights and the discussions that were had by our Founding Fathers. Remember, these are men who had just fought a war against a tyrannical government so the idea of keeping the new government in check was paramount. It was so important that they made it the second out of the first ten amendments, behind only the freedom to speak your mind. Most modern anti-gunners happen to live in metropolitan or suburban areas, and don't have any concept of the true meaning of keeping arms. They are inundated with "gun violence" news daily, and propaganda their entire lives, so they don't see any value in protecting our rights. I always ask these people if they would apply their restrictions to the police. That question always creates a conflict in their mind for a moment. It at least forces them to acknowledge that they have to support the State over the People, and many times, it becomes a Red Pill for them. Good luck with your report. Do it in civil way, and hopefully, if you have a good teacher, they will appreciate your point of view, and maybe some young minds will be awakened.
