1- ask them a question, and keep asking, their argument will eventually unravel. They will try and throw it back on you but refuse to engage unless they make a fair point. Keep asking for explanations

2- if they're hopelessly consumed by TDS, short responses: okay! Good job! Almost! Cool!, will suffice. No need to explain yourself to deaf ears

3- if a fair and decent point is made, give them credit. We encourage civil discourse, and they will not expect it
