DesertYote 6 points ago +9 / -3

I'm very color sensitive and that lipstick color was literally the very first thing that resolved in my visual processing center. It's painful to see. Btw, color is psychoactive. The modern color pallet has been designed to affect socialist change. To my eyes, it is repulsive and disturbing.

5
augustinius 5 points ago +5 / -0

Is that a condition, being color sensitive? And I’d never thought of color as “psychoactive” but yeah that’s totally the case.

5
DesertYote 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yes color sensitivity is somewhat common among autists. I'm also light and noise sensitive. There are some good books about the psychology of color. It is widely used in hospitals for example. Because of my perfect color vision, I have wanted to be an artist so I have studied color theory a bit.

4
FiatLux 4 points ago +4 / -0

you should look up myron barnstone - he has a segment about the fletcher color theory that is mind blowing

5
DesertYote 5 points ago +5 / -0

I've heard of Fletcher Color Theory but I have been concentrating on studying computational and measurement theories and have put off studying for becoming an artists. I have only become interested again since I started to be nauseated by the colors around me.

Have you noticed that corporations who have registered corporate colors that have been in use for 80 years are now updating to colors compatible with the latest palette? It is so bad, that at the hard core leftist company that I work for, even the little flag icons like red for offline, are now being changed.

This is a list of the sources for this. They coordinate their activities so are basically just one organization.

Color Marketing Group

International Colour Authority

International Colour Association

International Color Consortium

Browse their sites with your Marxist Jargonese decoder ring.

FiatLux 3 points ago +3 / -0

thanks i will check those out - appreciate the props on the name too! fletcher theory is pretty interesting its basically a modified triad on the wheel, but is also about setting up the wheel in a certain way.

imho nobody has ever ported it correctly to digital and thats a big part of the problem - if you ever need a project there shpuld be a website lr app which has the fletcher color wheel and you can create a palette from it - have looked and last time i did there were no good apps or places that did it

2
DesertYote 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes yes, that's it. I now must learn about Fletcher Color Theory. What I have recognized is modification and setup of the color wheel. I known quite a bit about computer color processing, digitization. I can call myself a software engineer instead of a systems engineer if I wanted. I am aware of some palette generators. There is an open source one, I think its called Agave. I take a look and see what is out there. You have peak my interest :)

3
Luvmyhub75 3 points ago +3 / -0

So interesting. Son has autism but is nonverbal. I always watch and observe how he handles sensory integration.

4
DesertYote 4 points ago +5 / -1

I have problems decoding phonemes myself. I didn't start to talk until I was well over three. I can't follow fast speech. I also have an IQ of 143. I'm sure you already know that just because your son is non verbal doesn't mean he is not intelligent.

Beware of Autism Speaks. They want to be the voice of autism so as to ensure that voice has a leftist accent. They are a Marxist vanguard. Also be careful of the so called experts. Most do not have a clue. I like routine. There is a reason why I like routine. It is not a pathology. The fact that autistic children will organize their toys is usually considered pathological. From my perspective, the child who throws his toys about and loses them has the pathology.

I'm 60 and am still figuring out my sensory intergration. I just learned about interoception. I don't recognize when I'm hungry and need to eat.

I am so happy that you're paying attention to how your son processes sensory input. Have you set up an environment for him? I'm getting ready to turn my own bedroom into an autism safe place. I didn't learn how deeply autism effects me even though it is extensive until the lockdowns and social chaos caused the disintegration of all of my compensation mechanisms. Hell, I didn't even know I was autistic until I was 50! Though my mom was told when I was 14.

One last thought. I don't think in words or language but in math and pictures. I use a mask to formulate language. It's slow. Most of my thoughts are trapped in my head with very little hope of being able to share. For me being autistic is like being in a glass cage. I try to speak but no one can hear. This cause so much frustration and has been the source of all of my meltdowns and shutdowns.

God bless you and your son richly.

86ing is an old mob term from the Vegas days. You drive 80 miles into the desert and bury them 6 feet deep.

7
MonkeyCzarFunny 7 points ago +7 / -0

Never heard that theory. Must Lille it come from hospitality business. It’s been recorded as far back as the 30’s as a term used in diners and bars for being something they had run out of, or a customer they didn’t want to serve.

0
Gobberwarts 0 points ago +1 / -1

Because the mob always uses terms that everyone knows in order to avoid seeming guilty.. I bet you think they say "Ice them" too.

Exactly. I am open to other interpretations, but until I see a valid explanation this seems purposeful...

Remember when Democrats and the media tried to blame Sarah Palin for a Democrat trying to kill Gabby Giffords in Arizona because her PAC circulated an ad showing Giffords and her district in crosshairs?

I'm sure the media will be similarly outraged by this rhetoric from Whitmer.

4
doug2 4 points ago +4 / -0

Eh 86 is more of a food industry term meaning "no more." Like "86 salad"! Means your out of salad. I have never heard it meant "kill." For the record I hate stretchin gretchen as much as the next guy. It might mean kill to some people, but I'd bet they meant it in the food type of way. It just seems to brazenly stupid.

2
Emper 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's always meant kill from the mob days. But yeah they mean like 86 a menu item means to kill it.

2
Husky 2 points ago +2 / -0

The food service slang is a product of the mob Hollywood slang

1
doug2 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not what I heard. Apparently some restaurant was used it way back in the day bc of where it was located? I could be wrong.

4
DesertYote 4 points ago +4 / -0

Oh that was easy 45th President. 86-45 is code for getting rid of Trump. Btw, in restaurants 86 is code for ejecting a customer.

2
DesertYote 2 points ago +2 / -0

Who or what is 45? We need to know.

2
bluebahloo 2 points ago +2 / -0

45th president (Trump). This is all trolling though.

definitely kamala. It's in the name -> Cum-all-ya. Gretchen takes it in the asshole so you have to Rank Gretchen on the same scale as a gay guy. Gay guess get ripped by 1000s which is the norm. So Cummy Kamala is the slutier.

2

If they want to play these games with anything Trump does, then it's only fair that we make them accountable to their own rules.

2

Serious question, is the ricin attack counted as left wing terrorism, or is it another zero because no one was killed?

"86" is slang for someone getting kicked out of a bar.

It's not a death threat.

24
couranto 24 points ago +26 / -2

Wrong. The original 86’d term was to kill someone (get rid of them). Restaurants and bars took it up as slang to get rid of patrons.

1
DesertYote 1 point ago +2 / -1

Bzzt wrong answer. The usage of 86 to eject an obnoxious customer predates the very existencenof the mob. Geez, trying to overcome ignorance is as bad as trying to red-pill a leftist.

-1
Old_ex_Commie -1 points ago +1 / -2

Whatever, dude. I've never heard that, and I'm an old guy.

And considering Stretchin' Gretchen's wild days of her youth, I'd bet even money that she's never heard of it either. With a side bet that she's been 86'd a few times herself.

9
Staatssicherheit 9 points ago +10 / -1

It also means 8 feet long and 6 feet deep. As in the standard grave size.

I think Gretchen needs to answer for this.

7
PresidentPreston 7 points ago +8 / -1

Long as I’ve been alive, “86ing” someone, or someone getting “86’d” has meant killing them.

Then again, leftists are changing the meaning of every word and slang term in the English language these days, so sure...let’s just say it’s always mostly meant “getting thrown out of a bar.”

You know, because that makes sense, given how much Trump drinks and how many bars he goes to. /eyeroll

1
Old_ex_Commie 1 point ago +3 / -2

And long as I've been alive, I've never heard that.

1
Based_Trumpster 1 point ago +2 / -1

Well that settles it then. If a communist never heard it, no way it's true.

-1
DesertYote -1 points ago +2 / -3

As long as I have been alive 86ing someone means ejecting them from a restaurant. That usage goes way back. I myself used it in that context when I worked in restaurants in the 70's. So no it is not commonly used to refer to killing someone. A hell of a lot more people are 86ed from restaurants then offed by the mob.

2
PresidentPreston 2 points ago +2 / -0

Maybe there are variances in regional usage.

3
DesertYote 3 points ago +3 / -0

In the restaurant and bar industry, 86 to mean ejecting a customer or we're out of something is ubiquitous from coast to coast. I have over a decade of experience working in restaurants. I'm autistic and have no degree. It's hard for me to find a job so I have often fallen back on my skill as a line cook. Btw, there are a lot of autistic cooks. It's something we excel at.

3
sciencebeforegod 3 points ago +3 / -0

It has been used for getting kicked out of bars but it originates as a threat.
