Twitter and YouTube especially need to be held accountable. Absolute SJW madmen

CMDRConanAAnderson 130 points ago +137 / -7

I have a feeling YT will join the censoring party very soon.

Molten_Plastic 183 points ago +183 / -0

You speak as if they haven't already?

71
JESUSJUGS 71 points ago +74 / -3

They're not as bad as Twatter, but are certainly on the road to be so rather rapidly. It must be stopped.

54
N7fury 54 points ago +55 / -1 (edited)

That is why I found it funny that Rogan cited a reason for leaving YouTube was because he wanted a fairer platform not the 100 million dollar contract. Atleast I think I read that somewhere anyway. Lol, Spotify immediately blocks some of his episodes of people they don't agree with that even YouTube allowed.

Spez: Wanted to add that I wasn't sure whether they were intentionally blocked but there was definitely internal pushback at Spotify not to allow them. I'm not sure if they've been added but hilarious how it was those episodes

13
Hurtkussel69 13 points ago +15 / -2 (edited)

Did they ever post them? I mean, it's not a mistake if bringing attention to the mistake causes the mistake to........... not be unmistaked.........

Spez: someone with spotify needs to go check. Rogan defended them saying it was a mistake, if they're still not there then he's complicit and I've lost all respect for him. also fuck you tim pool for not following up.

8
N7fury 8 points ago +8 / -0

I have no idea. Rogan complained about woke 24 year olds causing some problems. I don't really follow his podcast i just saw a clip. There was internal pushback at Spotify to not allow the episodes. But I've heard they were in the process of bringing them over. Atleast that's been the story

4
arse_garblin 4 points ago +5 / -1

Just checked, still not there.

He’s voting for Trump, but still — damn shame that he’s such a sellout.

4
bananaguard62 4 points ago +6 / -2

I think I remember them saying they were in the process of getting them over to spotify and the ones in question just hadn't made the transfer yet... I think they put a target on when it was to be done but we're not there yet. Wish I had the specifics, but when I started to search for them I realized I just don't care enough.

4
Carry_Your_Name 4 points ago +4 / -0

It was the woke employees at Spotify protesting against the decision of adding him on their platform. Remember the SJW in New York Slime who forced a senior editor to resign for publishing an article by Tom Cotton? Same thing happened at Spotify. The wokeness contained in the college campuses are now spread out into all walks of life in the society.

1
SoldierofKek 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah in that case he jumped out of the frying pan and into the flame. Rogan should have gone to dlive and backed up on bitchute.

1
Sl0re10 1 point ago +1 / -0

He was stuck in a special dilemma. YouTube would eventually ban him. Youtube partner money gone.. Then his value would drop because he needs a platform... vs platforms just wanting him. Spotify sucks but he got paid... vs eventually going there later but for much less.

-1
jomten -1 points ago +1 / -2

Is there a way to conditionally crowdfund a migration to parler?

Like we donate x amount of $$ to pool together a large enough bounty to offer the joe rogans of the world to move to parler & other free speech platforms.

If they decline the offer for w/e reason the money is returned, but it would be an interesting way of providing a free speech “competitor” to the tech giants.

Also if the tech giants are censoring them it ruins the entire reason we listen to joe, we want an authentic person giving us his views unfiltered. Even if we disagree with him/his guest its the format and the honesty we like

2
wholesomekangz100 2 points ago +2 / -0

Rogan

Authentic person

lol

3
jomten 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think he flip flops on things he doesn’t feel strongly enough about, but I dont think hes being inauthentic.

Just doesnt have a solidified political worldview like many of us.

6
thuggishruggishtrump 6 points ago +6 / -0

They are now, they’re deleting the fuck out of channels like x22 report etc...as we speak.

3
QueMalaHarris 3 points ago +3 / -0

They are going insane now lol

25
Guitarbeast26 25 points ago +26 / -1

They are as of today banning anyone who qanon targets which means they will have spies in qanon and whoevers corruptuon they call out will be scrubbed. Because they also just banned any Q shit on their platforms. But thats not enough, they have to scrub anything Q points out. And therefore any random youtuber that mentions it. Eric ciamerella was the test run. We are already at war folks. Its a meme war literally. Fake news no 1 enemy

16
IsabelMaxwell_isaSPY 16 points ago +16 / -0

Well, we certainly can't have any Spies! Hopefully Ezra Cohen-Watnick will point this out in the next series of Q Posts:

Not to mention the worst of them all, Reddit

29
daflyboys 29 points ago +29 / -0

I don't think of Reddit when I'm not there.

25
Icepck 25 points ago +26 / -1

No kidding. I try to post pro-Trump news on r/politics just to see how long it lasts. Immediately I have 1 downvote, less than a minute. Then they find a rule to say I broke and remove it. Nobody reads the article, they post 15 comments in less than 5 minutes so I know they haven't read it. Heads in the sand like a bunch of ostriches.

22
Missanthripocenex 22 points ago +22 / -0

It’s worse than that. R/politics is a total police state farce. There is nothing that doesn’t go on there that doesn’t fit an approved carefully thought out narrative.

I tried to post something relatively neutral and when I hit post it just disappeared like I’d never even written it. Super creepy, honestly.

2

They have a quota to meet.

Just enough (they think) for plausible deniability.

2
Carry_Your_Name 2 points ago +2 / -0

Dailywire, Tim Pool and Dan Bongino are still there, but they could be axed at anytime. They themselves have repeatedly warned us on their shows.

3
QueMalaHarris 3 points ago +3 / -0

I just had my channel that I had for years deleted.

11
ORANGE-MAN-RAD 11 points ago +11 / -0

YT is Google. And Google freely turns user identifiers over to agencies if a user searches for the "wrong" keywords. So I think their censorship will remain limited as long as they maintain their value as a honeypot for the deep state.

9
IncredibleMrE1 9 points ago +9 / -0

Ohhhhh man.... They did that long ago.

3

it sucks thought because it takes NINETY DAYS for any EO or presidential memorandum to take effect.

we will need to RE-ELECT the POTUS in order to make sure these executive actions will actually take effect.

the 90 days rule is why the 'cheap medicine from canada and europe' won't take effect until 1/1/21

19
The_Litehaus_Abides 19 points ago +19 / -0

He signed this one in May. As far as I know, the bureaucracy ignored it.

4
NormaJeanRocks 4 points ago +4 / -0

I dont get any medications but people I know said their prices dropped a ton, and people here say it too, hows that?

9
Rightfoot 9 points ago +9 / -0

I have noticed a sharp decline in the cost of my meds that I take. In the case of two of them it was rather dramatic. For both I paid 42.00 which would have cost me about 200.00 before. Note these are 90 day supplies.

I joined to post this - to add credibility to the cost of medications going down.

Thank you Mr. President.

3
NormaJeanRocks 3 points ago +3 / -0

I remember a post on here a while back where everyone was happy all their prescription prices had dropped already, guess it depends on you're state maybe. And welcome to .win Pede...you need a coat!

There's less than a month to the election, but let's LOOK INTO the shit thats been a problem for 4 years.

40
Covfefefefe19 40 points ago +42 / -2

While I don’t disagree this has been a problem for four years, Twitter and Facebook did something VERY different with the NY Post stories. They fucking jumped the shark with that bullshit, and I think they may lose their Sec 230 platform status. I’m not sure what the executive branch can do, honestly.

17
MAGA334 17 points ago +18 / -1

(Just playing devils advocate here) If that were the case, shouldn’t the story be, we will be taking executive action on this instead of “looking into it”.

6
leftists_are_trash 6 points ago +6 / -0

I’m not sure what the executive branch can do, honestly.

Pull a Barack Kwame Obongo - gin up a dossier and get "intelligence" that indicates Twitter, Facebook et al have been compromised by a hostile foreign intelligence service, and then use the power of government to spy on them and maybe even some perp walks and lethal force entries to look for "evidence." When it all turns out to be bullshit, years later, nobody will care or be able to do anything.

6
FlipDog_MaGoo 6 points ago +6 / -0

I disagree, I feel they jumped the shark when they started coordinated deplatforming of those deemed to have committed wrongthink.

What we see today is just the latest escalation of technological dictators who have never been held to account for their original transgressions against this country and their people.

(BTW, they did in fact, turn the frogs gay.)

1

4
barryb0nds 4 points ago +4 / -0 (edited)

I hope this will simply be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Fuck Twitter and fuck Facebook, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. They have been controlling speech for years.

Ultimately though I doubt anything will come of this, sadly. I hope to be proven wrong.

Trump has tweeted back in May "...Twitter is completely stifling FREE SPEECH, and I, as President, will not allow it to happen!"

And here we are.

And no, I don't hold Trump responsible for this. I admire that he's fighting the good fight.

4
randommemefarmer 4 points ago +5 / -1

The law lays out different protections for platforms vs publishers. It doesn't say WHO is a platform. Just declare them no longer having met the requirements for a platform.

No law change needed.

11
DrCowboyPresident 11 points ago +11 / -0

The tricky part is, the last thing he wants to do is give an order that won't be followed. His control of the Executive Branch is hardly absolute.

1
zabbers 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think that's the first thing he wants to do. It reveals who is part of the swamp.

1
DrCowboyPresident 1 point ago +1 / -0

Maybe, but it also shows weakness. It's a classic rule of leadership to never give an order you know won't be followed.

2
HamburgerJung 2 points ago +2 / -0

even if he signs something today it won't take effect until 1/15/20 at the earliest. EOs take 90-100 days before they actually happen.

2
IlIlIlIlIl 2 points ago +2 / -0

90-100 days like that prior EO on this exact topic that didn’t change anything.

3
Nightjar 3 points ago +3 / -0

I have ZERO sympathy for Trump and Co. He could literally create an account on another platform, e.g. Gab, announce his exodus on Twitter "Please follow me at my new home on gab.com/DonaldTrump. I will no longer be posting here."

If all Republicans and right wing figures did this tomorrow, engagement on the platform would drop 30% overnight, the stock would drop 50% in 1 day, and all the high level executives at Twitter including Dorsey would be fired that day.

You don't need hearings, you don't need executive orders, etc. You just need to stop giving them engagements and ad revenue.

Because us leaving won't make the site die, it'll just be even more of a leftist echo chamber. This site is great and moving our main base of operations from Reddit to here was an excellent idea that has worked fantastically but that doesn't mean we should completely withdraw from every other form of social media outlet available. We should be bringing the fight to them, redpilling as many people as possible, fighting in the second great meme war, and triggering as many TDS patients as we can find.

27
540k-Again 27 points ago +29 / -2 (edited)

Here let's help the WH out!

Reminder to the WH Council's Office:

Can write a 1 page E.O. for GEOTUS to sign, that will immediately end all marxist big tech interference and marxist media interference, and heck most major companies' election interferences too:

Every company shall be either 1 or 2:

1.) Is entirely American owned, employed, revenued, domiciled, funded, etc.; or

2.) Stop interfering with the American Election and Political Processes; or shall

Divest their foreign nationals in their employ or contracts; foreign investors; foreign revenue; foreign ownerships; and sequester any tainted fruit revenue/contracts from past entanglements; until they comply with #1 or #2.

Continuing to interfere in the American Election and domestic Poltical Process is not the right of foreign nationals, either directly or through companies; and violates the rights of American Citizens for which our Republic Stands. And the proper role for foreign-US policial process is through their foreign government and the President (and State Dept) as per the US Constitution.

[The American People in the Constitution, never gave any branch or level of government the power to give foreign nationals to interfere in our domestic policial and electoral processes.]

Any company violating this, like the CRT E.O. puts them in non-compliance with US Laws for government contracts and including visa documents; and other measures until they are in compliance with either #1 or #2.

MAGA On!

im not even sure what he can do with an executive order tbh. they arent doing anything illegal, just clearly violating their 230 status.

if congress gave a fuck (they don't) they would revoke the status so that twitter could be sued for defamation and libel. i dont see any other way, perhaps breaking them up as a monopoly somehow.

once again govt intervention into the market (230 protection) fucks everything up.

Geez, just appoint a special counsel for election interference and collusion with democrats and foreign powers and tear their lives apart like they cheered on Mueller.

Nothing about the Biden emails is “hacked” so Cuck Dorsey’s explanation for the censoring still doesn’t make sense

Just shut them down. The world was a better place before those companies opened up.

I was totally against government interference until much more recently, but this is out of control.

I feel the very same way because I do believe free markets should dictate most things. But the way that social media has been acting over the last couple of weeks especially, as we draw close to the election, it’s clear we have to have some heavy regulation, if only to preserve our freedom of speech and expression!

BLM shows that to get anything done requires protesting at the homes of officials involved.

Need to start evening rallies at the homes of Twitter employees in the spirit of Laura Loomer, but more megaphones, fire works, and laser pointers. Scrape list of employees from LinkedIn and start making the rounds.

Literally all these companies had to do to keep the internet great was maintain some fucking server infrastructure and ban child porn.

But no they incrementally increased their micromanagement of speech from child porn to racism to hate speech to controversial speech to conservative speech.
