A fine afternoon to all of you ladies and gents out there,

This afternoon, President Trump announced Amy Coney Barrett as the selection. With conservatives not possessing a true majority thanks to John Roberts, this nomination solidifies a solid court majority for the definite issues that will arise from the Democrats attempts to steal this election.

With ACB as the selection, the violent left will do their best to disrupt the confirmation process. Romney, Collins, and Murkowski will be unknowns during this process. A Democrat like Manchin cannot be counted on to vote for confirmation. Thankfully, even with the three aforementioned possible turncoats, the nominee would still be confirmed with Pence casting the tiebreaking vote.

"I love the United States and I love the United States Constitution."

Dems: "That is exactly why we don't want her confirmed!"

Celtic_Warrior 37 points ago +37 / -0

Dems pay lip service to the Constitution as well but usually only when it’s convenient. Both parties are very much complicit in effectively shredding the Constitution.

Dems are always talking about a different Constitution than the one drafted and amended. They are talking about their living breathing Constitution that says anything they want it to say while ignoring what it actually does say.

Just like how they can magically be whichever of their 96 genders they feel like being when they wake up in the morning.

They hate themselves, so they want everyone else to change.

No I don't think they want to shred the constitution but rewrite it for sharia law and baby murdering...

I preferred Lagoa but if any one of us was asked 3 months ago if we would trade rbg for ACB, we would have killed for that upgrade

66
PublicDiscourse 66 points ago +68 / -2

Plus the RINO cucks probably weren’t on board with Lagoa. We’ll get Lagoa after expanding the senate majority.

31

I like your take

9
AmericanChevalier 9 points ago +9 / -0

We'll get Lagoa when Roberts resigns over the Epstein scandal.

The judges were selected from a Federalist Society list, not by a list from the Senate. Replace the bucket all you want, but you're still drinking from the same well.

Yes more women that don't actually read the Constitution please. It's not enough yet.

Women can be patriots too—let’s not be dingdongs

3
krzyzowiec 3 points ago +7 / -4

I’d prefer zero women, but of course we’re playing the game now. Next we’ll appoint an LGBT justice to really show the libs.

2

Playing their game got us into this mess in the first place.

Dumb sexism aside, there already is an lgbt on the bench

52
Libertysheimdall1 52 points ago +55 / -3

Take heart Pede. I’ve reviewed the cases where Barrett has been criticized. A lot of fake news out there on that front.

30
Frosty 30 points ago +33 / -3

Seems like we've been getting brigaded by bots in this regard. They all spam the same link and say the exact same trash that's not even supported by their link which is already stretched speculation.

21
Aenima1 21 points ago +22 / -1

I agree with you but I very much disagree with anyone with a different opinion being shot down and labeled. We’re aren’t a monolith and THAT type of thinking need to be deported. Trump unfortunately Has made a few bad deep state choices. Scrutiny is needed always

11
Kingoftheroad 11 points ago +12 / -1

Thank you! This is the point I was trying to make as well. We should always keep our eyes and our minds open.

4
Libertysheimdall1 4 points ago +4 / -0

I’m on your side there. Discussion is good. I just have seen some very serious misinterpretations of decisions by folks (Barnes) who ought to know better. When people just repeat that stuff without critically thinking, that isn’t really a competing point of view, it’s just parroting.

1
Aenima1 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not a fan of Barnes. He’s a fame whore. I just believe there needs to be scrutiny and critical discussion. At the end of the day we’re all pedes and we’re all MAGA. I was one of the first 3k members of our former DOM. Pede is literally the first four letters of my last name lol. Have a great weekend!

Explain the vaccine and lockdown info on ACB. I keep reading and seeing she was Pro both of those, lockdowns in particular.

I’m legit asking, I feel I may have drank the koolaid on ACB. I preferred lagoa. I don’t trust ACB, but I do trust Trump to make the right pick.

1
Libertysheimdall1 1 point ago +1 / -0

I see no case on vaccines. And how could there be since there isn’t even a coronavirus vaccine in existence? I’m just not sure what people are talking about.

On the lockdowns please check my post history. I’m not being cheeky I just have two posts on it and i want to avoid posting it all again.

MondayCoupleIsDead 94 points ago +96 / -2

I didn't want her for a number of reasons but I gotta get passed that. All I can hope is she helps unwind the infinite amounts of unconstitutional 2A restrictions we are suffering under in NY State and elsewhere.

46
stevejobs871 46 points ago +52 / -6

She's strong on 2A.

10
PinkoPatrol 10 points ago +27 / -17 (edited)

Strong? Literally one case determining that nonviolent felons (in that case, someone guilty of mail fraud) shouldn't have their 2A rights infringed.

On what planet is that strong?

Spez: sorry for your feelings.

31
The_American_Son 31 points ago +32 / -1

Do you have any idea how radical an opinion that is in DC?? Lolol

10
PinkoPatrol 10 points ago +11 / -1

Great, but that doesn't negate what I said. One dissenting opinion != strong stance.

Her husband is also a former Federal Prosecutor who worked gun cases.

I'll wait to make up my mind, but I'm not optimistic.

24
Block_Helen 24 points ago +24 / -0

Ruling that nonviolent felons should not be stripped of 2A rights IS strong. And rare. And a judge can only rule on the cases put in front of her, so quantity ("literally one") means nothing.

https://www.nationalreview.com/bench-memos/judge-barrett-on-the-second-amendment/

8
PinkoPatrol 8 points ago +10 / -2

We'll see. Too often the problem is that picks don't apply their logic evenly, and wind up cucking out to the majority instead of dissenting.

I don't have high hopes that she won't be another Gorsuch, but I guess we'll find out in short order.

9
Block_Helen 9 points ago +9 / -0

That certainly does happen. Which is one reason why we have to nominate for bravery - being a strongly anti-abortion woman in the legal field usually indicates that. I think ACB falls in the brave category but as you say, we shall see.

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +2 / -1

Gorsuch is better than RBG, no?

6
PinkoPatrol 6 points ago +8 / -2

No, he's the most unpredictable justice on the court. You KNEW which way RBG was going to go, always. Gorsuch is as purple and reactionary as they come. He's left on criminal justice, executive power, tribal rights, etc. Whatever makes the chief justice happy is which way he goes, so I'm willing to bet he's just as compromised as Roberts.

He has also sided with the liberal bloc (Kagan, Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor) on cases like Sessions v. Dimaya, which "struck down a provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act dealing with the power of the Federal government to deport any alien, including a lawful permanent resident, convicted of an aggravated felony."

Gorsuch was the tiebreaker, ruling against the Trump administration's position on upholding the existing law, and has now made it more difficult for the Federal government to deport certain aliens under Federal immigration law.

So, tl;dr: Gorsuch is a emotional little bitch who does what he has to do to appease the mob.

4
krzyzowiec 4 points ago +5 / -1 (edited)

Which is insane. How can you say that a country does not have the absolute authority to deport an alien? I don’t care how much it might disrupt someone’s life or impact their family, there is no absolute right to remain in this country if you are not a citizen.

Kavanaugh and Gorsuch both seem like mama’s boys. We need more tough men like Clarence Thomas or Antonin Scalia on the court.

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Holy shit, I missed that one! Is it possible to deport a lawful permanent resident under any circumstances now?

What kind of process exists to revert this?

I do believe he is intimidated

14
FREEDOM1st 14 points ago +14 / -0

A lot of people who claim to be pro gun don't think felons should be able to exercise their 2a rights.

For a scotus judge that's a pretty fucking strong pro 2a stance.

To all of the Chinese-Reddit shills calling people who are not happy with the ACB pick "concern trolls": Remember when Trump picked Steve Bannon, General McMaster and General Mattis? Remember how those picks turned out to be Deep State backstabbers? Yeah…

Just because Trump makes a choice doesn't mean it is always the correct one. We're not cult members and we should all practice critical thinking and not just blindly follow Trump's pick just because the Federalist Society told him who to pick.

18
Supplyjackal3002 18 points ago +20 / -2

Pretty sure Steve Bannon wasn't a Deepstate backstabber. I think him getting involved in the Roy Moore/Doug Jones Alabama Senate race debacle cost him his influence.

2
TaxDollarsHardAtWork 2 points ago +2 / -0

Bannon was an opportunist that later hitched his wagon to the Deep State not realizing they would abandon him once he had outlived his usefulness.

0
whippeat 0 points ago +1 / -1

Nonsense. Bannon was the original MAGA. He was talking American Nationalism while Trump was still donating to the Clintons.

His problem was overextending himself and kicking up a hissy fit when Trump didn’t follow what he said 100%.

8
LowIQCrazyMika 8 points ago +10 / -2

5
LowIQCrazyMika 5 points ago +7 / -2

Ok, I tried searching a such ruling but cannot find one. Have any examples on this? All I saw was her notable rulings about guns and abortion, and a ruling in a campus sexual assault case where ACB ruled that the man accused can challenge the proceedings. All of these rulings pissed off feminists and commies which I like and support.

2
p8riot 2 points ago +5 / -3

She sided with the Democratic governor in favor of UNCONSTITUTIONAL lockdowns

2
TaxDollarsHardAtWork 2 points ago +2 / -0

Mostly the fact that she ruled in favor of the lockdowns and mask mandates and has explicitly said she would recuse herself if there was a conflict between her religious beliefs and her duty to uphold the constitution. Meaning any rulings in the vain of Roe v. Wade would automatically be off the table until she is off the bench. And she's quite young so that is a long time.

1
whippeat 1 point ago +2 / -1

For recusing herself, that’s not what she said. She was talking a hypothetical if she was a CRIMINAL COURT judge. She said she would recuse from a potential death penalty case because it’s against her beliefs to sentence someone to death.

But she is not being a criminal court judge. She will be a Supreme Court Justice who makes legal decisions and doesn’t sentence anybody. So there’s no worry.

3
Ronald_Dregan 3 points ago +3 / -0

read a history book ffs

0
Rasterblath 0 points ago +3 / -3

I mean the first pope starts with Peter the apostle so it’s not like there was some time differential where something special occurred there.

With that being said as a Catholic I don’t think we need to attack or argue the fundamentals of Christian faith here. I’m sure the left loves to see that. That above comment was kind of a gatekeeping troll.

Several of the Christian religions were established in order to root out very serious issues in the Catholic Church so it’s not like any Catholic can sit around and pretend like the church always did what was moral and correct.

Even today many of us have (relatively minor in comparison) issues with this pope who took power in a documented political coup.

2
MagnanimousDonkey 2 points ago +6 / -4

Patently false. The first Christians were Jews in the 1st century, long before Catholicism.

2
Ronald_Dregan 2 points ago +5 / -3

Jews are Christian now? Da fuq?

1
WEWLADSDALWEW 1 point ago +2 / -1

And they belonged to the Church which was administered by the apostles and the successors, which still exists today, and is now commonly known as "the Catholic Church." This is a matter of historical fact.

1
MagnanimousDonkey 1 point ago +1 / -0

Negative. The church that was established in Christ's day refers to all believers, aka Christ's bride, and is not mutually exclusive to the Catholic Church or any other man-made denomination.

To say otherwise is simply revisionist history.

1

I had written a longer response but decided I don’t want to argue about it. Suffice it to say that I’m confident that that reading of the history of the Church is ahistorical. Instead of going back and forth, I’m going to recommend a YouTube series to you called “Deep in History” and if you’re interested, you can follow those leads.

1
WEWLADSDALWEW 1 point ago +1 / -0

The only Christian ecclesial groups with a coherent claim other than the Catholic Church. I will say that, historically, I believe the Catholic claim is the correct one.

-3
TacticalWitdotcom -3 points ago +5 / -8

What? No. Catholicism came about when Constantine decided to create a government church because his mom became a Christian. He merged government, pagan rituals, and Christianity and WALA! Catholicism.

2
BasedMedicalDoctor 2 points ago +6 / -4

Catholicism was the first Christian church, since it was the first official name of the church as stated by the Epistle of Ignatius to the Smyrnaeans in 107 AD. No other surviving subsect has preceded the Catholic Church, and no other sect can point to a Council of Christians precedent to that of the Catholic Church.

1
WEWLADSDALWEW 1 point ago +1 / -0 (edited)

Yeah, that's really not true. I highly recommend you read the early Church Fathers. They predate Constantine significantly and you will find therein a Church that is decidedly Catholic.

who did roberts clerk for?

1
krzyzowiec 1 point ago +1 / -0

Scalia was in favor of the death penalty, and she is not. Part of her argument against it is that it strengthens the case against abortion, which is terrible logical reasoning.

I am a wait and see type so I am not totally against her. Let’s say I’m cautiously optimistic and willing to be surprised. :)

-2
DeplorableCentipede -2 points ago +3 / -5

She was Scalia's clerk. I don't think Supreme Court justices spend that much time vetting their clerks.

The YES MEN are a problem on both sides of the aisle, because I guess Betas can be right wing too.

This is more true than anyone likes to admit. I've been called a shill and a leftist so much the last few days for simply disagreeing with POTUS on one thing. Maybe one day they will learn you don't have to be in lockstep on everything to support someone.

4
deleted 4 points ago +4 / -0 (edited)
3
ObamasLooseButthole 3 points ago +3 / -0

Exactly. Like what happened in another comment that I mentioned about Barrett, they said "still voting Trump?"... Yes, just because I disagree with him on something doesn't mean I don't think he's a great President.

It's absurd to think you can't disagree with someone and still like them.

1
IJustWannaLurk 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've not done the research. What are the issues against her?

2
ObamasLooseButthole 2 points ago +2 / -0

My main issues with her is her support of lockdowns regarding COVID and the fact she holds a marxist Pope in high regard and will defer to him on specific cases.

I also just don't trust her not to be a bleeding heart who will signal her virtue whenever she can. This one is just a fear that I have but I have no proof of it and may be wrong.

9
DemRefugee007 9 points ago +11 / -2

I haven't read the Handmaiden's Tale, but is this how things work in it?

"For 21 years, Jesse has asked me every single morning what he can do for me that day. And though I almost always say 'nothing,' he still finds ways to take things off my plate."

~Amy Coney Barrett applauding her husband

23
willy-willis 23 points ago +24 / -1

The Handmaid's Tale matches post-Islamic Revolution Iran much better than pretty much any Christian theocracy that's existed in the past (even really extreme and wacky ones like Munster under Anabaptist rule in the 1500s) anyway, so it falls flat even at its core as a take on hyperbolic Christian dystopia.

10
electioninfection 10 points ago +10 / -0

Plus in the Handmaid's Tale, Catholics are either hanged or sent to the toxic work concentration camps. It's utterly laughable that anyone who knows that dystopian work would ever suggest that a staunch Catholic would be anything resembling HT's Sons of Jacob.

Anaconda 9 points ago +11 / -2

I think he chose her because he thinks she'll be the easiest to get confirmed in such short time. He had this planned out entirely otherwise he would have nominated her as his first judge to replace Scalia.

2
PamelaCincinnatus 2 points ago +2 / -0

I suspect this is the real reason. There are probably better judges for long term he could have chosen, but it is crucial his pick gets confirmed quickly because if it drags out to January there's no guarantee he'll be able to get any pick confirmed. Better a milquetoast conservative for the next 40 years than no conservative at all.

And now let's sticky (yet another) a Bible verse and remember MAGA is all about our Oklahoma soccer moms who were the proud leader of their local celebacy club.

Or ... let's remember you losers came on the bandwagon LONG after we had made President Trump a huge success online. Stop injecting hypocritical religion into it. Just be a good Christian, stop virtue signaling it.

1
MerlynTrump 1 point ago +1 / -0

What's a celibacy club?

-1
sodypop -1 points ago +2 / -3

Basically a club for losers in high school who promise not to have sex before marriage. Most of whom couldn't get laid anyway.

2
MerlynTrump 2 points ago +3 / -1

I don't see what's wrong with that. If they want to join such a club who cares. Frankly I rather people not be sexually active in high school, though in some regards college may be worse (i.e. larger numbers of people, thus more std spread).

0

There's a very big difference between being positive and preachy. Born again virtue signalers are such losers and we all know it.

Work hard. Be kind. Forgive others. That's Christian. Waving your religion around to feel better than others isn't.

2
fasterth 2 points ago +2 / -0

feel better than others

it's way better to try to find a positive in the negative to lift others up, it boosts morale and that's the whole point

2
Coolmishi 2 points ago +2 / -0

Never been a Cruz fan. ALWAYS MAGA - never had to beat my kid. It was my joy and pleasure raising my daughter, because she did the right thing because it was the right thing to do! Raised her on choices and consequences. Besides that a good Christian wouldn’t tell people to fuck off! Right. So I’ll never make the claim that I am good! But Jesus is. I think you got me all wrong! We have more things in common than you think. I love God, I love my country, and I don’t shove my beliefs down other peoples throats. I don’t think I’m better than anybody else but I do speak my mind and that’s why am on the Donald.win. Not all Christians are Karen‘s, however I could understand why you might feel like that. There are a lot of fucking cunts out there who just look down their nose at people because they’re Christians I’m not one of them! Have a great day PEDE! 🐸

3
shitPostingChamp 3 points ago +3 / -0

That’s the hope, since she clerked for him and all. Even if she is slightly less conservative than him, she’ll still be barely to the left of Thomas and Alito.

Honestly not sure what the concern trolls are on about. She’s made good rulings on immigration in the past, is super pro life, and despite people saying she’s weak on 2A I haven’t seen it. The ONLY concerning thing I’ve seen is her lockdown ruling.

She is clearly a conservative and you can bet after the Libs go after her and her family she probably won’t be liable to cede much ground to them at least in the near to medium term future.

3
SaulGoodman 3 points ago +3 / -0

She wrote a paper in law school that advocated for Catholic judges recusing themselves from death penalty cases, which is ridiculous. The death penalty is not forbidden by the Catholic Catechism. But this is all nitpicking compared to RBG.

I just hope she's strong on immigration. I know she upheld the public charge rule (which isn't new, it just wasn't enforced - like so many immigration laws).

2
shitPostingChamp 2 points ago +2 / -0

Love the username 🤣 I think she’ll be fine on immigration, 2A (she says Scalia’s textualism inspired her style - and 2A is very explicit), and most importantly, abortion. Probably won’t be cucked like Gorsuch was on alphabet people stuff either.

She might let us down with small things here and there, but overall I view this as a good solid conservative pick.

26
Omgwtfbbq 26 points ago +26 / -0

They need to leave her kids alone! For all of those black identitarians complaining about how she stole her kids from Haiti, why didn’t your communist ass adopt black children from Haiti or Nigeria or Congo or any place where there are children in need?

8
MAGAPlenty 8 points ago +8 / -0 (edited)

They’re the anti-thesis of that. They’ll side with abortionists before they side with a woman who wants to give an orphan or a child a family

4
SmugFrog 4 points ago +4 / -0 (edited)

Yeah, her children should be off limits! That goes out to some of the racist pricks on here who are triggered over her having adopted two black children out of a total of seven. If that bothers you so much, then you're in the wrong place. They need to fuck right off.

Funny how the same group disliking ACB frequently express their dislike for Catholics too. Not that one equals the other, or invalidates their concerns.

I too don’t like some of her decisions, but I don’t conflate Gorsuch’s tranny pandering to his being a Protestant.

9
Plebbitimmigrant 9 points ago +11 / -2

Not shocking. Lots of folks don’t particularly like Catholics. Seems like it mainly stems from Protestant V. Catholic religious disagreements. Or disagreements with opinions voiced by a Catholic Church leader.

0
Reddinatored 0 points ago +3 / -3

A Universal Church is an easy target

2
SmugFrog 2 points ago +8 / -6

They also express their dislike for anybody who isn't white...

2
Strike_Eagle784 2 points ago +3 / -1

Some folks don't like her for two reasons: 1) She's a Catholic, and 2) She's a Woman. I've heard that some folks around here have concerns that she has some deep state connections due to her supposed pro-lockdown stance.

It all boils down to old bigotry rendering it's ugly head again. They should be happy that we have a pro-life, pro 2A, originalist whose about to be on the SCOTUS. That's why I'm happy with her.

2
Tomtoonami93 2 points ago +2 / -0

Reagan pledged during his 1980 presidential campaign to appoint the first woman to the Court. Trump is no fool; he knows this will get him reelected.

1
Strike_Eagle784 1 point ago +1 / -0

Every move Trump makes is an example of political strategy at play. I have no doubt in my mind that ACB is another example of this.

2
CanadianTrump 2 points ago +3 / -1

Its more how shes “pro pope” I dont know either way but its not due to religion just the head of the religion.

1
Reddinatored 1 point ago +2 / -1

What lots of Protestants mistake is support by Catholics for the institution of the Papacy to be support for the Pope.

1
Maijinservo 1 point ago +12 / -11

If you aren't part of the one true church you really don't have anything going for you.

7
Reddinatored 7 points ago +8 / -1 (edited)

I wouldn’t discount anyone who places Christ first in their life and heart, and I pray for unity of the Christian faith in the same way Martin Luther once did.

As a man who walked away from the Methodists, Baptists, and Episcopal churches to find my way to The Catholic Church I know that Martin Luther’s protest against corruption in his day bears a lot of familiarity to the corruption today. Only back then, we had members of the holy orders standing up to fight. Today it only feels like the Laity and a few based priests, deacons, and Bishops fighting.

2
Maijinservo 2 points ago +4 / -2

Thank you for this post, Pede. I appreciate and understand the walk.

2
Reddinatored 2 points ago +3 / -1

Yeah Maijin, having left my Protty (colloquial term of endearment, pedes) brothers and sisters I am pretty sensitive about the divides between us.

It seems to me that we focus too often on the subtle differences without paying heed to the only critical part of our faith: Christ is our savior, so long as we accept that we are brothers and sisters.

5
Coachdds 5 points ago +6 / -1

Muhammad is that you?

3
WhiteLash 3 points ago +4 / -1

I don’t think it’s worth splitting hairs if people believe in Christ Jesus. The new pope is very clearly a fraud and that is problematic for the Catholic Church.

She's likable and allegedly thinks similar to Scalia, so I'm very hopeful that she will prove to be be a brave Originalist {not Textualist} in the years to come.

Edit: After doing more research on textualism vs Originalism, I prefer Originalism using the authors proven original intent.

4
flashersenpai 4 points ago +5 / -1

textualism is fake and gay you can support birthright citizenship if you just look at the text

and yet originally (aka originalism) the people who were involved with the amendment stated specifically it wasn't just being born in the US

The salt from the left who hates religion, family, constitution, rule of law will be glorious.

2

I watched an Infowars piece on ACB and they don't like her. Then I got information from other sources who were able to debunk it with other facts. At this point, I have no clue who would be best, but if the left is Reee'ing and losing their minds over her, that's a good sign. I'll trust Trump on it.

1
grassshrimp 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm glad to hear it, the amount of hate for her here is an obvious fact that we have far too many leftists pretending to be us. It is really starting to piss me off, I wish I could deport the obvious shills. WTF has happened to our moderators.

Attention everyone, I have a confession:

<scotus nominee> raped me in college.

She tied a condom around my neck and shouted: "This is maga country!", before running off giggling with the rest of her KKK rape mafia.

I never told anyone because no one ever paid me to say it until now.

7
Buttfart88 7 points ago +7 / -0

She also boofed in my face and threw ice cubes at me. P.S rape is sexy :)

What's the word?

Can you say it again?

Can you spell the word, please?

Can you use it in a sentence?

Guys, Serious question. Will Trump withdraw the nomination with all these DDOS attacks???

21
jaaardstyck 21 points ago +42 / -21

This is literally the first time on TD I've seen any hate for Amy Coney Barrett. It's been nothing but love and anticipation even since the Kavanaugh nomination. So I'm just going to assume anyone hating needs to be deported.

12
Truthdose 12 points ago +13 / -1

No serious digging ever occurred for any nominees until this situation came up

I am under the strong impression that Trump got reaffirmation of his choice from this forum over the time since Kavanaugh

0
jaaardstyck 0 points ago +4 / -4

Every other day her photo is in the trending posts and all of a sudden I'm a liberal for thinking this forum has supported her for a while. Lol.

9
Afripede 9 points ago +9 / -0

You haven't been on lately.

6
Kingoftheroad 6 points ago +11 / -5 (edited)

Then either you haven’t been paying attention, or you’re lying and maybe you need to be deported. It’s been around since at least the Kavanaugh nomination. What is it with some of you, needing an echo chamber and never questioning anything? Leave that thinking for the left. Some people aren’t thrilled with her nomination and they have valid concerns. The downvoting and wanting to deport anything not in lockstep with Trump needs to stop. We’re supposed to be on the side of morality, God, and logic. Let’s stop leaving the logic out and replacing it with emotion.

Saying be logical and use your brain not emotions like the left annnnnnnd....downvoted lol some of us are just as big crybabies as the looney left I guess

1
jaaardstyck 1 point ago +5 / -4

I'm the one not paying attention? Her photo has literally been in the trending posts every other day since the reddit days. Stop acting so Pikachu face shocked that she is the pick.

3
Kingoftheroad 3 points ago +4 / -1 (edited)

It’s not a surprise to me that she is the pick, it’s a bit of a disappoint to some, and apparently a major concern for some...but to you that means they need to be deported. That’s irrational. And you’re well aware of her from the reddit days but have never seen any concern of Trump nominating her to SCOTUS? As Biden would say, come on, man!

Edit: For the record, I’m elated that Trump has his third SCOTUS pick in and we are definitely better off now than we were with RGB. We’re heading in the right direction!

2
Siteless_Vagrant 2 points ago +4 / -2

Her photo has. What else? Anything? Nothing. So some people actually started looking into her, found out she kinda sketchy. Needs a looking at. Too late now. Are you gonna reeee when she recuses herself from a case due to her religion? When we need her vote? Because she has stated she would do such.

We need five really. Thomas and Alito are great men but I hope they don’t make the RBG mistake. Retire next term gents and let Trump replace you with some 45 year old studs.

1
Popsalock 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trump win and honestly pack the courts like the dems say. what good for the dem is good for the Rep.

3
Block_Helen 3 points ago +3 / -0

Three in his first term. :)

2
Popsalock 2 points ago +2 / -0

yeah next term i could see him avoiding a conservative RBG moment and replace a few more

2
Block_Helen 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thomas would likely retire in a second term, not wanting to make the obvious RBG error and risk being replaced by a Dem.

2
flashersenpai 2 points ago +2 / -0

Don't count your owls before they hatch. You'll need at least a term or two before you can tell if Barrett is the new Roberts.
