Another slap in the face to the Karen’s. Just makes my day that much better!

What will Karen's do after this bullshit. It seems like their 15mins is closing. I will never do anything illegal but, I have never had this much urge to strangle cucks and Karen's into a lifeless corps until the china virus plandemic wuhan coronavirus hoax came along.

"Manmade Climate Change" is the next "Public Health Emergency." Shaming people for no wearing masks or distancing will evolve into shaming people who drive internal combustion vehicles--especially large SUVs--and have a large carbon footprint.

Just last week there was a loser from my local power company, trying to convince me to install some sort of monitoring control device on my AC & electrical meter--for free!--that would save me money by automatically adjusting it during peak load periods. I looked it up, and essentially it could prevent me from cooling my house below 77 degrees. Fuck that shit. When I told him to get lost he made the Climate Change argument. Then I told him he was trespassing.

COVID was just to condition us for more of this BS.

There's a whole range of devices called smart meters. I know, because I used to install them. What Sweitzenhammer's referring to is a voluntary device. The smart meters the power company installs for everyone just keep them from having to send someone out to read it. It's not really any more "smart" than your toaster. It's just got a kind of built-in wifi.

4
80960KA 4 points ago +4 / -0

The basic remote-read ones aren't even wifi, as far as I know they're all still simple 432MHz ISM transmitters.

5
JeremiahKassin 5 points ago +5 / -0

I've learned to oversimplify. The new model we've just finished installing in my area broadcast on six different frequencies, get picked up by a central unit and then rebroadcast to the transformer, which sends it up to the head end. CS2Ms, mostly. But it's a weaker signal than the old "smart" meters, which they had to drive by to read.

I actually wish the power company would stop tacking the word "smart" onto everything. Scares people off, because they assume the technology actually has some kind of autonomous feature.

Seeing how Cali just voted to ban gas powered vehicles in 2035 I think you're right. the plandemic opened the door to a lot of ways to suppress or eliminate our rights. I knew I felt like I was being experimented was more than paranoia.

Scroon 16 points ago +16 / -0

It's been on an accelerating curve since the 1960s. The idea they're using is that individual actions can hurt the group, therefore the individual must be controlled because they are hurting other people.

We saw the soft roll out of this concept first with the (bullshit) secondhand smoke bans and then later with with climate change and "herd immunity". COVID was partly the big push to cement the idea in the national consciousness.

Rufus_Shinra 9 points ago +9 / -0

As far as climate change, tell anyone who believes it that Mount Vesuvius, a volcano in Italy, erupted in the Roman era and destroyed Pompey, it three as much carbon and pollutants into the atmosphere to equal 5000 nuclear bombs the size that were dropped on Hiroshima in WW2. Now if that didn't kill the Earth, and that's only one volcano out of the thousands that have erupted since the beginning, how is 100 years of human industrialization going to do it?

6
byteflame 6 points ago +7 / -1 (edited)

Here's an even better point: All the fossil fuels we've been burning for the last two centuries were made by burying metric craptons of organic matter that had pulled CO2 out of the atmosphere during a period of geologic time known as the Carboniferous. This coincides roughly with the Cambrian explosion, when almost all of the current types of animals (and a fair number of now extinct ones) appear in the geological record effectively simultaneously. Before this insane proliferation of biomass, the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere was an order of magnitude greater than it is now, and it's quite reasonable to link the two. Life thrived with 10x the atmospheric carbon dioxide than we have in the present. Photosynthesis followed by coalification or lipofication is just a really efficient solar energy gathering and storage technique, and extracting that energy will at most return the atmosphere to its pre-carboniferous state, which looked nothing like Venus.

6
80960KA 6 points ago +6 / -0

I cringe when they bring up Venus. The major reason Venus is as hot as it is is because its surface pressure is 90 TIMES that of Earth's, the gas composition doesn't even really matter when the pressure delta swamps out any possible contribution from gas composition.

I also don't think we could ever get to carboniferous CO2 levels again without burning up limestone somehow, there's a lot more carbon sequestered there than in petroleum.

3
byteflame 3 points ago +3 / -0

Exactly. And generally, when we burn limestone, we do it to make mortars and plasters that then reabsorb CO2 and revert to limestone in a more convenient shape. Net zero process as far as the limestone is concerned.

You’re selling a piece of electric powered tech - your competition falls into the gas and diesel powered realm. The best way to get people to drop money on your expensive technology is to scare them into doing so. Climate change seems to scare a ton of people for some reason, just like the hole in the ozone layer and acid rain in the past.

Covid-1984 Controlavirus Plandemic

20
thisisatestof2 20 points ago +20 / -0

Exactly. Connecticut finally entered “phase 3” Which we were supposed to do in July, and met the criteria for, but comrade Lamont decided he didn’t feel safe with it and decide to wait until early October. No restaurants can go up to 75% capacity and slightly larger outdoor gatherings, but face diapers are still required.

I have talked to a few people I know in the industry, and many restaurants haven’t been able to get even 50% occupancy on weekends because the press in governor keeps scaring the shit out of everybody and People are sick of playing the put the mask on to walk in take it off for an hour to eat and put the mask back on to leave game.

12
UpTrump 12 points ago +12 / -0

In CA they now make you wear the diaper whenever you aren't putting food in your mouth. Yes, you must wear while chewing

13
thisisatestof2 13 points ago +13 / -0

That sounds disgusting and unsanitary. So I got to touch my now Covid covered face mask take it off, put one by the food in my mouth, sat down the fork, put the mask back on and eat my one bite of food and repeat that like 50 or 60 times.

Weren’t we told originally by the Dr. fraud That’s the purpose of the mask was so we don’t touch our nasty covered covered faces, and now they want us to touch them even more?

6
JeremiahKassin 6 points ago +6 / -0

No. Originally, he said masks were a terrible idea that would just lead to people keeping all kinds of unsanitary garbage breeding right in front of their noses and mouths.

Then, he said masks were purely symbolic, to put people's minds at ease.

He didn't say masks were to keep people from touching their faces until, like, May.

PA is at 50% indoor occupancy for restaurants only if they are willing to sign some certification of compliance, otherwise 25%. I went to a small pizza place tues night at ~7 pm after they announced $6 specials. Nobody inside, I was the only one getting take out, and maybe 1 table of 2 ppl outside. It's getting colder and places are installing tent heaters. If this is any indication, restaurants are in really bad shape. This place has been around 40 years.

6
thisisatestof2 6 points ago +6 / -0

I went out to A local restaurant About two weeks ago on a Thursday night around 630, pre-Covid it would’ve been probably 50 to 75% full. When I got there we were the only one seated inside and two table seated outside. I got an a brief conversation with the manager about how slow it was and they said on a Friday or Saturday they Have been averaging just under $4000 for the day gross income. They have had to shut off their cable service, amongst other things just to be able to keep the lights on and pay their skeleton staff.

Pats5x 14 points ago +14 / -0

Exactly, Ive been harping on this. Trump fell into the left's/DC establishment's trap of testing - it was testing, testing, testing. Soon after that, Trump kept harping on, as only he can, "we'll have the greatest testing. We'll have the bests tests. We'll have more testing than anywhere..." well, guess what, he fell for it and now "cases" are the only fucking thing that the RInos and marxists can point to in keeping their states/cities from a complete and total re-open. we have states and cities pushing hard to get "everyone" tested. They're going into black and hispanic areas and offering "free" testing. Why not get a "free" test, right? It'll keep us safe bc we're in this together, right? Bullshit. Tests/Case #s are the tyrants means to the end of collapsing the economy even further and driving even more chaos and disruption by giving Marxists the ammunition to keep schools closed....

3
Chopblock 3 points ago +4 / -1

Without testing they would have benefitted from the low-information environment, where Democrat ideas thrive.

Trump turned testing against them, because it’s a measurable yardstick of ‘response’ where he wins by doing it more and better, and because more measured data ultimately lends itself towards more accurate perception of reality, despite attempts to twist its interpretation.

The worst of it was in March-April. Even the symptomatic weren't tested because the years were unavailable or strictly controlled access (health care providers, above 60 years old?). Everyone else was told to stay home and treat it like the flu. If it were even near what the media made it out to be, there would be dead out in the streets 1-2 weeks after every mass gathering. 1
thisguy883 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oklahoma isn't a bad place. They do have a state Tax though. Tornadoes and shady weather is what keeps me away.

When I lived there, I lived in a house that was built in the 60's. The reason for it was because if you're in an area where the houses are old, you have a better chance of not getting everything blown away by a tornado.

My friend had her house built south of OKC, and it was destroyed by a tornado. She had it rebuilt with the insurance money, and it was destroyed again a year later from another tornado.

Another friend of mine lived 30 minutes outside of OKC in the middle of nowhere, and his whole neighborhood was destroyed by a tornado.

So if you love state taxes, Bible belt policies (which they are now starting to lift), questionable weather and guaranteed tornadoes every single year, then Oklahoma is the best state for you.

3
LensOfTruth 3 points ago +3 / -0

I definitely thought the tornados would be the one huge turnoff, but why are they getting rid of the policies that make it free?

1
thisguy883 1 point ago +2 / -1

They are getting rid of "Bible belt" policies. Meaning they are becoming more lax with clubs, drinking, late night establishments... etc.

When I was there, beer was 3 point and you couldnt find anything higher unless you go to a brewery.

Clubs were very tame. Especially strip clubs. Pasties, no touching, and bikini only.

There was hardly anything there, so it felt you were 2 years behind the rest of the country.

When I left, the place finally starting booming and they removed some of the bible belt policies. Apparently its fun to go to a bar now, according to friends who are still there.

But I cant stand the weather, which is one of the main reasons I left when I got out of the military. Jobs are good there, even in the tech field. But I dont want the stress of dealing with my house being destroyed every other year.

DeSantis and Noem are probably the most based governors we have outside of Kemp. DeSantis had the most difficult task navigating the storm with Florida being under a microscope. He's one of the few that has actually done things.

I love Noem but South Dakota is nowhere near the job Florida is. The left wanted Florida to burn during Covid with dense population and high percentage of elderly. He also just told Antifa and BLM to get fucked and created liability protections for law abiding citizens and heavy penalties for commies.. I trust Florida will do more than most to prevent voter fraud. I wish Abbott was a quarter of the governor DeSantis is. Florida is the state I'm least worried about out of the swings. Texas is not close and Abbott should be a lot more concerned ending the tyrannical lockdown and mask order along with putting people out of business with no justification.

Hope this applies to schools. Most schools in the state are open but have ridiculous mask mandates and shields around the desks. My son told me in music class he is not allowed to touch the piano because of covid restrictions. What a joke.

But the executive order, which takes effect immediately, also prohibits local governments from closing businesses or collecting fines related to pandemic-related mandates, such as mask requirements.

Okay that is a baller move. More Governors need to do this.

So even though most commie local governments make masks “the law” they can’t come arrest you for not wearing a mask or using masks. I think this will encourage more businesses to not comply with stupid mandates, since there is literally no consequence now for not.

Worst, a local commie business who loves masks can refuse to serve you if you don’t wear a mask. And frankly, all business should have the right to refuse service, even if its for brain dead moron reasons. So I can live with that.

More governors need anti mask laws like this.

Well we already know the corporations are embracing the masks because it aligns with and furthers their leftism agenda. So there will probably be little change there.

Some exceptions sure, but this won’t change anything with 99% of Walmarts, Targets, etc.

But this will have a MASSIVE impact on local and regional businesses, because ownership is still by normal regular people. Not disconnected CEOs who want China to dominate the world so long as they get kickbacks for peddling their cheap shit.

Great. I was having a "discussion" with people online. They complained about people going out, calling them selfish. I told them not everyone can afford to just stay at home and have a legion of people supply them with goods and services.

They did not like that.

15
sustainable_saltmine 15 points ago +15 / -0

that is one area where I want to bitch slap anyone who says that. Damn right I'm "selfish". Sorry, but it is MY RIGHT to go out and do as I please, "pandemic" or not. If you believe the lies about how bad this virus is, by all means, stay away from me, hide at home with your mask on and don't come out, but don't dare restrict me to wearing a mask to enter a store or business, tell me I can't even go to a park maskless and tell me I can't go somewhere because of occupancy restrictions.

5

11
VirtualStarShip 11 points ago +11 / -0

About time. Now let’s get rid of the stupid mask mandates in some places! I can go one county over and it’s normal world, or stay in my county and every store and restaurant is like some crazy world where mask are mandatory and everyone acts like we all have the plague. Literally I can drive ten minutes and the world is normal, and ten minutes back and it’s masked clown world. Does COVID respect county lines or something? They’re not dropping dead the next county (ten minutes) over.

7
lifeisahologram 7 points ago +7 / -0

This EO cripples local mask mandates because it makes it so local governments can’t fine people or shutdown businesses for not complying with masks. So it effectively is getting rid of mask mandates statewide.

Only people who will still have masks are leftist companies that want a mask because they are dumb idiots.

There's a GIANT VIDEO that is totally irrelevant, a whole bunch of pictures to links that are totally irrelevant, and then ONE statement that basically re-states the headline:

Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Friday that Florida is lifting major coronavirus-era restrictions on restaurants and other businesses, in a push to boost the state's economy.

These pages are so useless.

That’s what this EO is.

There is no state mask mandate. All the Florida mask mandates are issued at either the county or city level. This EO cripples those mandates because it makes them unenforceable by removing all fines and shutdowns associated with not complying with local mask mandates.

The only reason they were enforceable in the first place was scaring people with businesses that if they didn’t comply they would be shutdown or fined. Those businesses then required customers to wear them for that reason.

But now the only reason a business will have a mask policy is if they want one, which will likely be the leftist businesses because they are dumb and believe this nonsense.
