Bill Kristol is the type of "Republican" that needs to be expelled from the party.

I honestly don’t understand Trump’s vetting process which scares me on Supreme Court picks. Gorsuch was fine on paper until he hasn’t been on major cases. Kavanaugh was always pretty milquetoast in terms of conviction and direction. It seems Trump just throws stuff at the wall and sees what sticks. Like how in the ever loving fuck have even half of the scum throughout the administration that have been fired passed even the very first litmus test? There are red flags so big you can see them 100 hundred miles away with many of these people.

Mattis, Kelly, Omarosa, Bolton, Comey, Priebus, Scaramucci, McMaster, Sessions, Rosenstein... I can go on and on. While Trump has eventually landed some rock solid picks (Pompeo, Miller, etc) it has taken wholly unnecessary obvious swamp picks to even your average uninterested-in-politics type person to get to these picks.

Lincoln's first choice to lead the Union Army was George Washington's grandson. He chose to lead the Confederates instead.

Lincoln's second choice to lead the Union Army eventually ran against him as the Democrat nominee in his re-election campaign.... while he was still an active duty General.

edit: Trump has to work within the confines of his party. Take for example, Jeff Sessions. Trump wanted to fire him in the 1st month. But he lasted for almost 2 years. Why? Because Sessions had the backing of powerful allies like Tucker Carlson.

Yep. Getting 50 GOP votes requires a cuck.

Is it possible that there's not enough based patriots with the right resumes for these jobs?

real question. Also maybe in the business world, the people he would hire to do things were less likely to have some weird ideological secret plan to stab him in the back, since they were just focused on building buildings and running hotels, not promoting political agendas.

Kristol ended up backing Evan McMullin in an independent run. He ended up getting 730,000 votes

Sounds similar to what Prescott Bush tried to do.

And then kristol settled for a guy named ‘French’

Prescott Bush was behind the 1930s plot to overthrow the President. They thought their man was General Smedley Butler BUT Butler was patriot. When he was approached, he played along to "get them all," then exposed their plot. https://www.arcadiapublishing.com/Navigation/Community/Arcadia-and-THP-Blog/September-2018/Smedley-Butler-and-the-1930s-Plot-to-Overthrow-the

The Smedley Butler plot is probably one of the most interesting chapters of the US and it proves how something so big can be swept under the rug by powerful people.

We are living through the same stuff now in real time.

It's also a great rebuttal to the idiots who refuse to listen to ConSpiRACy ThEoRiEs.

The interesting thing was that when Smedley told Roosevelt, Roosevelt did nothing. Smedley was justifiably furious and those same men continued to be a problem all of their lives.

People think the Donald doesn't get astro turfed, but it does. Anybody remember the wall to wall Mattis hype on T_D? This is basically the reason I don't trust the Amy Corny Barrett hype. Looks too much like astro turfing advertisements to me. Like I know all of you are into politics, but you don't really expect me to believe that thousands of you are on some random judge's dick? Color me skeptical.
