He’s much kinder than myself

Ben45 180 points ago +267 / -87

He talks with respect to those who deserve it. She made her decisions but she never attacked Trump or anything, so Trump treats her the same way. As we all should with people who we disagree politely with.

Well, Trump gets the last word. Hopefully, on Monday, he'll start with appointing her replacement. It will drive the left absolutely INSANE!

136

Yeah he gains nothing by attacking her.

Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you

  • Matthew 5:44

Trump is setting an example for all of us. He isn't celebrating. He isn't gloating. He isn't chastising her, despite being on very opposite sides of politics. Follow his example or get off the train.

43
Brucesky420 43 points ago +43 / -0

Still, he gains nothing by attacking her, and it just gets the dems more fired up to try and do something about it. Not like that's going to stop them, but still. In this situation there's no point in disrespecting a dead woman.

Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of times I'm sick of republicans taking the high road, but this is one of those times it's fine. She's gone, she's can't do anymore damage to our constitution, time to move on and replace her

12
NormaJeanRocks 12 points ago +12 / -0

I feel the same way, but do you want Trump to come out and say what you just said, or anything close to it? Think man, hes POTUS.

Isn’t it funny how just following the law and the constitution, makes lefties raging mad?

I’m mean funny up to a point, also deeply concerning, how little respect people have for the most free and prosperous nation in the world.

8
FlimboFlongins 8 points ago +8 / -0

I heard RBG was dead while at a restaurant a little while ago. Went to the vehicle, pulled out a stogie and came back. Lit it up, and said very loudly, "Ruth Bader Ginsburg is Dead! Smoke if you got em!" Then started clapping, and whooping.

Some shrew came up to me and said "You can't smoke that here, and you're a awful person for saying that!"

I smiled, pulled deeply, and as I exhaled simply said "That's where you're wrong, Kiddo!"

She blinked, too stunned to process, and scurried away..

2
JohnnyRico69 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, if the last few months have shown us anything, it's that the left hates the rule of law and the Constitution as much as they hate the country, the Founding Fathers, and all of us.

69
AmericanRenaissance 69 points ago +73 / -4

Fuck no. She was instrumental in the femnazi movement that we have now that has destroyed the holiness of the American woman. She may have given women rights, but at the expense of their dignity.

36
ShakeNBake 36 points ago +38 / -2

Just think. All those women would not have to get their ass up and go to work if it weren't for RBG! They screwed themselves up. Now enjoy your big corporate cubicle rat race, feminist slave.

20
Silencemennow 20 points ago +22 / -2

But they can always freeze their eggs for when they meet Mr. Right, with enough money and power to kneel to, and let an immigrant raise their children while they work their corporate slave jobs well past the time their grandparents retired and had a house full of great grandchildren unwrapping presents on Christmas.

7
dudewhat4real 7 points ago +7 / -0

No government gives you your rights. They are unalienable, and are evident from your existence, whether you believe in a creator, or not. All the government can do is restrict and remove your rights. Fortunately, our country's founders recognized those rights, and their origin.

1
AmericanRenaissance 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't believe there is a creator. I KNOW there is a creator.

40
mountnblade 40 points ago +43 / -3

36
1A_FTW 36 points ago +39 / -3 (edited)

I’d have to look up what exactly she did to further any actual rights that men had and women didn’t, but I’ll tell you what, I constantly hear and see women in the workplace doing and saying all the same things that would land men in HR, with almost no repercussions.

Tired of white knights.

16
MadRussian 16 points ago +17 / -1

Oh yes, let's laud poor Ruth for advancing the cause of feminism and causing countless men to lose their livelihoods over what essentially was the norm since the beginning of time. Oh, and being a staunch proponent of abortion.

Fuck her. She was an evil hag who did tremendous damage to the United States.

44

7
Thracka951 7 points ago +7 / -0

Her side is also endorsed by the church of Satan. It doubt that she is enjoying the afterlife, but I sincerely hope that she had time to ask God for forgiveness at the end. It is enough for me to triumph over our enemy, I feel no need to wish for vengeance.

18
Ben45 18 points ago +18 / -0

Wouldn't surprise me. Haven't heard about it though. But Trump said the right thing here. Being respectful is always best, especially when it comes to someone's death. Just as a Catholic, death has to be treated solemnly. I'm excited with the new opportunity we have to have now to get a new judge. No need to be rude and disrespectful when we can celebrate the future.

She stayed on the court while dying just to spite Trump when she could have been with her family and making peace with God. Shows you what a political partisan she was.

30
CantThinkOfUserName 30 points ago +30 / -0

The left should be angry at RBG for this scenario. She should have stepped down in 2015 and let Obama name her replacement, but no RBG wanted Hillary to nominate her replacement.

Play stupid games and lose a seat on the Supreme Court for the next generation.

20
DisgustedByMisleadia 20 points ago +20 / -0

I think Ginsberg was planning to step down in 2009 and let Hillary nominate her replacement. But, Obama screwed up her plan. So, she held out for another 8 years, and Trump screwed up that plan.

Bill Clinton nominated Ginsberg. She held out to repay that favor.

12
PolyArmored 12 points ago +12 / -0

That's why I hate government. It wasn't her seat to give, but she wanted to make sure the right person inherited her spot.

A decent person would have stepped down when it was obvious she was too sick to do her job.

There's no way her law clerks weren't doing all the case research and writing her opinions for the last decade.

34

She attacked Trump. She called him a "faker." She said he has a big ego and just says whatever comes into his head. Before he was elected, she said she couldn't imagine what life would be like if he was elected. She was a liberal political activist. The President was very gracious in his comments tonight, especially considering how she treated him.

TBH I think that's what got me. He's not worrying about SPC picks (Although yeah ram it through) he looked geniunly shocked and awed by that moment. It's nice to have a president that actually is human and has human decency.

10
KnottyJane 10 points ago +10 / -0

It's like he had to put his hands up and process it for a minute before he could speak about it. He definitely hamdled almost perfectly... He gave no ammo to the media to use against him.

Although it was kind of a dick move from the reporter... She had to know that he hadn't heard yet. I'm sure she was looking for some sort of celebration from him.

8
Freetrial 8 points ago +8 / -0

That's the left now and days though. Reporters to actual politicians will politicize EVERYTHING.

Fuck they wanted Ruth to live for 8 YEARS just so Orange man Bad couldn't get a SC pick. They literally couldn't care that she was battling cancer, that she was old as the DIRT ITSELF. Long as she served their whim, it was fine to literally ride her to the death.

2

He's not worrying about SPC picks (Although yeah ram it through)

I'm shocked Elton John still lets him play Tiny Dancer after playing it at every rally since 2015.

I guess Elton John allows him to play it even though he claims he has TDS to the fake news haha.

4
AtariArtist 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's not the only Elton John song on the playlist either. I recall some tracks from 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' in the conventions I attended too (3 - 2 before his first term and one just after he was inaugurated).

3
DoYouLikeFishsticks 3 points ago +3 / -0

I remember a lot of Elton playing too. Tiny dancer being the most used but I definitely remember more since 2015. I hope one day he ends his rally with pinball wizard LOL

2

I don't remember hearing 'rocket man' - I think the POTUS who ushered in US manned spaceflights after a decade (and more to come with SpaceX's Starship and Boeing's Starliner) plus the Space Force - deserves to play 'rocket man'.

2
DoYouLikeFishsticks 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wasn’t rocket man Kim Jung uns nickname? I’m shocked it wasn’t played.

Why would he call me “old” when I would never call him “short and fat” oh well. I try so hard to be his friend! LOL

2

That had to be the strangest diplomatic ice breaking in history. 2 leaders shitposting on Twitter.

5
Oskar 5 points ago +5 / -0

Adam Curry talked about this on the No Agenda podcast a while back. If I remember it correctly...

Often times the venue will have a deal with the publisher for a yearly fee to play anything from the catalog. The venues have this deal with all the publishers. The reason is if a band plays a lot of covers it's a hassle to go back and figure out all the accounting, so it's just prepaid.

As long as Trump uses a venue that already has the rights, the Trump campaign can play the song and there's not a lot Elton can do about it.

2
Hillary4Prison2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

He definitely did. In the morning!!!

3
DisgustedByMisleadia 3 points ago +3 / -0

Artists let BMI and/or ASCAP handle licensing. You buy a public performance license, and you get their entire catalog. I'm sure the campaign has done so.

One of the two offers artists to specify exceptions, but I'm not sure about the other. Some artists make a big stink about it, and lose half of their audience. The smart ones don't take sides, and they get paid.

However, I believe Dolly Parton has specified that none of her songs can be used by any politician.

3
whippeat 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well, I’m sure he gets paid. And if you have spending habits like Elton, you can’t afford to turn down a paycheck

He respects strength and conviction, and despises falseness and hypocrisy. The one thing she was was stridently consistent about her convictions, wrong as they were.

3
Fabius 3 points ago +4 / -1

Of course. Our president is the best of us. A truly great man.

86
TheLeningrad27 86 points ago +87 / -1

Class act here. I know I wouldn't have said that.

40
FireannDireach 40 points ago +43 / -3

He stopped himself. He knew this moment was beyond politics. That's the real measure of him. He threw politics aside to be human.

22
BetterDeadThanCommie 22 points ago +23 / -1

There's a reason trumps president and no one here is

5
Wtf_socialismreally 5 points ago +6 / -1

Very true. In a lot of ways, we can be ruled by our emotions just like anyone else.

Politically, this has the potential to be very fortunate.

But on a level of being human, it sucks. She was sick. What ever she did (or didn't do) no longer matters.

I still say she shouldn't have sat in that to spite Trump when she could've been home with her family. When you are on your last legs you should be with your family and those you love, not allowing yourself to be used as a political tool, no matter your beliefs or involvement. It's not worth it in the end.

9
Mexicola1976 9 points ago +10 / -1

It would have been great if said, "that's a shame."

69
TrumpFortyFive 69 points ago +69 / -0

Was "Tiny Dancer" dubbed in or playing in the background?

70
NYRepublican72 70 points ago +70 / -0

Playing in the background. He just got off stage.

44
REE_WUZ_KINGz 44 points ago +44 / -0

Holy shit that makes this clip so much more legendary

20
jessepinkman9 20 points ago +20 / -0

It comes in at exactly the perfect time as if it was a fully produced film. Stunning that this happened.

9
UpTrump 9 points ago +9 / -0

I wanna see more backstage stuff, even just Trump walking to the plane. They always cut it off so fast!

1
zabbers 1 point ago +1 / -0

RSB (Right-Side Broadcasting) is good about that, they show as much as possible. It's always amazing seeing AF1 land right in front of the rally crowd.

34
Shrillary 34 points ago +34 / -0

The way it blended with his voice makes it sound like it's real. The acoustics are too real sounding to be dubbed in without an expensive reverb/convolver effect.

42
Trumppp0492 42 points ago +42 / -0

It was actually playing at the rally.

This is real life!

27
unsquishable [S] 27 points ago +27 / -0

Yeah it was playing in the background

25
Champion 25 points ago +25 / -0

Glad they weren't playing YMCA still 🤣🤣🤣

18
REE_WUZ_KINGz 18 points ago +18 / -0

lmaooooo kek made sure this moment wasn't trashed

12
Anaconda 12 points ago +12 / -0

He has played "Tiny Dancer" at every rally since 2015. Apparently Elton John still allows him to play the song. Shocking because John supposedly hates the POTUS.

15
OldeHickoryHouse 15 points ago +15 / -0

Sir Elton might hate President Trump but he loves the exposure.

12
Dallasguy 12 points ago +12 / -0

He doesnt have a choice. The campaign pays the publisher.

4
DisgustedByMisleadia 4 points ago +4 / -0

BMI/ASCAP handle the licensing. Pay the fee, get access to their entire catalog.

One of them allows artists to specify exceptions, but I'm not sure about the other.

7
Darkheartisland 7 points ago +7 / -0

He has always been a whore for money.

3
FireannDireach 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wasn't Elton all pissy at Trump's campaign for playing his music recently? Or during the last campaign?

7
thisisatestof2 7 points ago +7 / -0

Then he realizes he gets royalties...

63
maga73737 63 points ago +66 / -3

He looks genuinely taken aback. You want to beat your opponents, but when they pass away, it is like losing a part of you.

18
barefootozark 18 points ago +19 / -1

Right. There is clearly some genuine hurt in his expression. He was taken back for a few there.

11

51
BeanieGuac 51 points ago +63 / -12

See? Pedes? Have some class, like the boss. Stop with the celebration. That's low.

25
MrBlack 25 points ago +28 / -3

He's a better man than me, I'm most definitely celebrating, mining salty communist tears while I'm at it.

14
EpicPede 14 points ago +20 / -6

I'll be celebrating. It's his job to be classy not ours. Fuck that evil bitch may she burn for eternity.

6
RopeForCNN 6 points ago +8 / -2

i'm not the president. i'll celebrate the death of a demon every day

4
JoePCool14 4 points ago +8 / -4

I mean, it is big news politically, no doubt about it. But I will agree there's no point in "celebrating her death". We don't know about her in her final moments, but if she did not repent to God, she could be on her journey to the depths of Hell as we speak, which is tragic for her and for all. We should never rejoice a soul being lost.

That being said, the game of filling that seat is on.

5
UpTrump 5 points ago +6 / -1

Tucker said her last words were "don't let this president fill my seat"

3
JoePCool14 3 points ago +4 / -1

If true... well... hope she doesn't mind eternal fire.

4
DoIMAGAYouHornyBaby 4 points ago +4 / -0

Her souls was lost through no ones fault but her own. She spit on God’s face and turned from Him by being the champion of baby murder. For how steadfast she was in her wicked ways, i doubt she repented. America is a better place now that she is no longer on it- even if she will be voting by mail in November. Im not celebrating her damnation, but i am celebrating that she is no longer with us. Its a fine difference, but a difference nonetheless.

YouTube trends are curated. Veritas Project covered that. They only promote what's convenient.

31

Class Act. Maybe this will be the cure for TDS?

33
Shrillary 33 points ago +33 / -0

Convincing jews and muslims to not murder each other didn't cure their TDS, so I'm leaning towards no.

18
DickTick 18 points ago +18 / -0

Hah.... No

8
leg_hairs 8 points ago +8 / -0

It could theoretically yes but the media would never show the prez being kind and sincere.

He just took a pause and sang her praise.

13
Pukeahontas 13 points ago +13 / -0

The perfect sound track too. Wow

5

Ya and considering that's a rando moment from the rally playlist playing behind them makes it all the cooler.

13
USCitizen1 13 points ago +13 / -0

Class act. We should follow his example.

12
CoupeFL 12 points ago +12 / -0

Tiny Dancer playing is just fuckin perfect

12
KuhlooKuhlay 12 points ago +12 / -0

That.... was.... perfect. And totally off the cuff to boot. I've been saying it for months, but kinder, gentler Trump = landslide Trump. I know it doesn't play as well here but it's the right path forward (for now).

Always with class. No politics, just sad at death.

But you know. It struck him while he was speaking, how huge this is. And he stopped himself, and just stayed in the decorum lane.

I would love to have been on the plane right after that, when he was able to express all of the implications hitting him like a ton of bricks.

10
CarlosCornPopDelecto 10 points ago +11 / -1

He must feel like this is his time. Everything is falling into place. Time to make America God’s country again.

9
Proud_American 9 points ago +9 / -0

A gift from God.

My reaction would not have been as nice.

9

Let's just be glad they weren't still playing YMCA. It would have been a much different feel for the interview.
