Still taking those shoes off at the airport, aren't ya? (almost 20 years now)

booblitchutz 106 points ago +106 / -0

For a terrorist attack that never even happened. The guy failed.

RegularAmerican 83 points ago +83 / -0 (edited)

If he succeeded in making us all take our shoes off in every security line for the rest of humanity I'd say he succeeded.

booblitchutz 32 points ago +32 / -0

True. I guess I mean he didn’t blow anything up. In fact he had has face caved in by passengers on that plane when he tried to ignite it.

I wonder if people today would be brave enough to beat the everloving dogshit out of a guy trying to light a match on a plane? Or would they just call him “stunning and brave”?

RegularAmerican 16 points ago +16 / -0

Depends what airline? A Russian one? He's getting put in a wheelchair. If there were Armenians on that plane he would wish he were dead. (I only say that because I am Russian Armenian but call myself American first.) I'm sure some other cultures would be less forgiving too.

FergieJR 6 points ago +6 / -0

Sure there are a few groups that would make life hard on a failed terrorist....

Having worked along side quite a few bosinan and albanian vets from the 90s and hear the stories and seen some of their wounds.... I wouldn't want to be stuck in a room of them after failing to kill them that's for sure lol

obamadotru 3 points ago +3 / -0

German/Scandinavian - ohh, I am so sorry that you have lived such an oppressed life that you feel the need to blow up your shoes. I am so sorry for your pain, please, here is my daughter to help you feel better

NormaJeanRocks 4 points ago +4 / -0

I know I would

a_grassnake_01 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not enough information; need to know the “guys” race and how they vote before that determination can be made.

King 18 points ago +18 / -0

why dont they make people take their weaves or dreadlocks off? you could easily have toxic chemicals in dreadlocks that would ignite like a molotov

Ralph-RaccooN 21 points ago +21 / -0

Honestly how we cam trust non sedated passengers is beyond me. The ideas people can have. They should be drugged up strapped down and shipped upright for maximum efficiency.

DisbandTheCIA 16 points ago +16 / -0

Fuck you that’s too real I can already imagine the advertisements

King 5 points ago +5 / -0

use the same gas they used on 9/11....as detailed in betty wongs recordings

prayinpede 2 points ago +2 / -0

Looks like someone's played Detroit: Become Human

booblitchutz 5 points ago +5 / -0

We have video evidence of just how well shoes can burn!

independentbystander 2 points ago +2 / -0

: )

FergieJR 4 points ago +5 / -1

What is even dumber is just before you check anyone for anything you cram 5 planes worth of people in a big group.

No one ever just blew up in the middle of line after all these years?

King 3 points ago +4 / -1

well al ciaduh was never a real threat, just a psyop and a fucking LIE

SwampMonsterJesus 2 points ago +2 / -0

They did it in an episode of 24, actually.

sagebrushfire 2 points ago +2 / -0

you could easily have toxic chemicals in dreadlocks

The whole mass of filth IS a toxic chemical.

SWAGLORDX1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

More interesting, so did the TSA - it was only the civilians on board took him down.

leftists_are_trash 25 points ago +25 / -0

till taking those shoes off at the airport, aren't ya?

No, I paid my $85 good-boy-bux to TSA so they could spend less than ten minutes with me in a shitty back room, take my picture, and ask no questions so I can have the privilege of passing through airport security the same way I did in Q1 2001. Good thing they verified that I'm not a terrorist - a white male with zero felonies, misdemeanors, or parking tickets, a credit score of >830 and a clearance, who flies 200k miles a year for the last five years.

Skygrrrl 8 points ago +9 / -1

JudgeWhoAllowsStuff 1 point ago +1 / -0

That’s all they do? Here I was thinking you’d have to be fingerprinted and have more of your privacy violated somehow than walking through the naked picture machine.

leftists_are_trash 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sorry, you do have to be fingerprinted, but they already had mine. Which is why it was nonsensical that I should have to pay or take my shoes off.

darkgwalchmei 1 point ago +1 / -0

There you go exerting your not-prone-to-violence privilege. How dare you? Show some compassion for those who are.

FakeNewsandFakeMeat 23 points ago +23 / -0

20 years? That's nothing. In 1936 there was a flood that destroyed Johnstown PA. In order to aid with the rebuild the state passed an emergency 10% liquor tax. By 1942 the state had generated the necessary funds to rebuild the city but the tax continued. In 1951 the state bumped the tax rate to 18%. Here today, 84 years after the flood and 78 after they recuperated funds the state of PA still collects that "emergency" tax, taking over $300 million per year from tax payers.

DonatesOthersOrgans 12 points ago +12 / -0 (edited)

Gas tax was only supposed to be during WWII IIRC. And the rubber tax on tires.

SnakeEyeMitch 4 points ago +4 / -0

Income tax in the U.K. was to pay off the war debt from fighting, Napoleon. Two hundred years later still have that tax.

darkgwalchmei 2 points ago +2 / -0

Temporary Gas tax was imposed to reduce deficit for the Great Depression, when it was set to expire Congress voted to extend and increase it due to Prohibition, when Prohibition ended, it dropped back to the initial tax rate, then with World War 2 it was increased again to the Prohibition rate, then after the war, it was made permanent

DonatesOthersOrgans 2 points ago +2 / -0

And then California tricked voters into raising it again in 2018

MentalyStable 9 points ago +9 / -0

A homogeneous group of people with the same politics would be allowed through without checking shit as long as those people are peaceful.

Basically we’d all be able to fly if it wasn't for retards with shit ideologies and violent behaviors.

Extremely accurate.

I see a lot of delusion on this board. People thinking that the Dems are going to relinquish their newfound power, willingly.

deleted 24 points ago +24 / -0
booblitchutz 14 points ago +14 / -0

Didn’t know Greg Abbot of a Texas was a democrat.

Ghostof_PatrickHenry 20 points ago +21 / -1

Eh, he’s a RINO. Much worse.

christianknight 6 points ago +6 / -0

they think voting is going to solve this, I usually dont argue because it could be seen as concern trolling but its the cold hard truth.

CelesteD 1 point ago +1 / -0

This goes a lot further but people in general fail to understand the concept. NEVER give up your personal sovereignty, especially over your MIND. I see people all jazzed about neuralink and transhumanism in general, they fail to see its all a scam to control. Its like the trojan horse all over again but because its repackaged no one semms to be able to recognize it. If the states and government won't even relinquish an outdated tax law, what do you think will happen when technology gives them direct access to your brain? Humanity should never go this route, ever ever ever.

booblitchutz 50 points ago +50 / -0

“We’ll surely not have to wear a mask in a few months” said the person taking off his shoes to get through airport security.

xkgb 8 points ago +8 / -0

The masks may come in handy now, being arson season and all.

bubadmt 3 points ago +3 / -0

Do they make you take your masks off too or is that not something that you can hide a blade behind?

fjobb 46 points ago +46 / -0

Stop infringing you mean, not give back.

PantsJihad 31 points ago +31 / -0

Rights have only ever been forced to be recognized in exchange for blood.

warlord1 5 points ago +5 / -0

Themilksgonebad 36 points ago +36 / -0

The worst part here is the fact that people think the government can TAKE your rights.. as if they gave them to you. They fucking didnt. Those rights are limitations ON the GOVT. We preserve or relinquish them. All of this, is our fault. Vote better.

christianknight 7 points ago +7 / -0

cIvILizEd SoCiEtY

Obamas_Prolapse 3 points ago +3 / -0

You are correct. They are natural, or God given, inalienable rights that our Bill of Rights help to protect.

Bill07 30 points ago +30 / -0

More like

"Everyone tht remembers an airport before 9/11"

Magalaska 10 points ago +10 / -0

I miss being able to walk with a friend or family member to the gate to see them off.

Obamas_Prolapse 5 points ago +5 / -0

I remember when those little armrest ashtrays were used for ashes and the no smoking sign had a purpose. I remember taking my long gun aboard and stowing it in the first class coat closet. (Ammo was in checked baggage. They asked me if it was loaded but never even looked at the rifle or luggage.)

During the lockdown in New Zealand you we’re allowed to buy textbooks or “self-help” books online, but not fiction. I thought that had to be fake when I heard it but no it’s true.

So NZ elected a socialist PM, and so far she has: taken away their guns, banned fiction, opened gulags (for Covid infected people, like it or not), and “postponed” the election. Well, you get what you voted for!!

litsy 13 points ago +13 / -0

Oh my fucking god you aren't kidding. They really did ban fiction books.

MsAnthropic 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yep, I didn’t believe it either when I first heard it. But that’s what you get when you elect socialists to run your country!!

Wreckonteur 8 points ago +8 / -0

Are you talking about fiction for an educational setting, or did they literally ban all fiction works?

mingram 7 points ago +7 / -0

They banned delivering "non essentials" which includes fiction books. Book stores were forced to close. So, they didn't technically ban fiction, but effectively did.

MsAnthropic 5 points ago +5 / -0

School texts were allowed, but they banned the online purchase of fiction books. Because they’re “non-essential”: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8243605/Jacinda-Arderns-ban-fiction-order-self-help-books.html

Mad_Maximo 12 points ago +12 / -0

"The war will stop after Afghanistan is blown up."

"It'll stop once we seize their WMDs."

"It'll stop when we kill Hussein."

"It'll stop when we get a new president."

"It'll stop when we kill Bin Laden."

"It'll stop when Pakistan bows out."

"Protests will stop when there is a vague sense of justice."

"They'll stop after a week."

"They'll stop after the police funding is recalibrated."

"They'll stop after the police is completely abolished."

"They'll stop after the jails are removed."

"They'll never go into the suburbs."

"They'll never torch someone's house down for no reason."

Accurate af, and so very sad.

bubadmt 9 points ago +9 / -0

Shillyourself 3 points ago +3 / -0

I've seen these statist idiots flat out support this totalitarian police state because they believe that most people are just "too stupid to follow the science."

The projection is alarming. Basically, I'm too stupid to interpret information on my own so I think that authorities should interpret it for me and everyone else.

Purple_Drank 3 points ago +3 / -0

we will have to take them back... buy ammo!!

Dr_Pooper 2 points ago +2 / -0

Just like they scrapped the income tax after WW2 ended, right?

KekVult 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sometimes it's true sometimes it's not.

Habeas corpus was suspended in the civil war

Our charge is not to overreact, but to be vigilant at all times

Where’s the love for Nicholson’s joker? Feel like we’re overlooking a great performance.

tigerz [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nicholson was good, but nobody can top Ledger and Phoenix. They REDEFINED who the Joker was

RiverFenix 0 points ago +1 / -1

Nicholson had underground tunnel built from his house to the playboy mansion. Trafficking women? who knows..
