Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! I live here!

57
HadEnoughInCA [S] 57 points ago +57 / -0

Lucky! I should've moved there when I had the chance.

Hopefully the PA ruling today was the first domino that sets off the end of ALL these unconstitutional lockdowns.

28
allowed2speak 28 points ago +28 / -0

No one is masking down there LOL.

It's funny going out at night in SD, seen MULTIPLE couples where the guy rips off the mask and the girl starts bitching at him.

19
lixa 19 points ago +19 / -0

Out at night? You have places to go out at night? 😭 Stuck in LA

Chuck the nagging ones.

24
FuckU/Spez 24 points ago +24 / -0

Yeah buddy! Was in Coronado Island 2 weeks ago, besides mask and restaurants being cucked it was practically business as usual. Beach was packed!

Me too brother. Just went back to work today after freelancing for 8 months. Time to open the city!

Don't expect it to pass. He's a lone voice on the board.

33
HadEnoughInCA [S] 33 points ago +33 / -0

That would be too bad. From the comments it sounded like there was at least one other GOP member on his side, one complete liberal cuck, and the others unknown. I do not really know a lot about San Diego politics though.

24
Frosty 24 points ago +25 / -1

I got the impression that this kind of thing isn't proposed without coordination behind the scenes.

26
1in1024th 26 points ago +26 / -0

It's also politics as usual. California always operates on unenforced, selectively enforced, or unenforceable regulations

14
Frosty 14 points ago +14 / -0

I think you just summed up the entirety of California in one sentence.

Last sane city in CA? Fuck no. Everything north of Sacramento is based.

26
HadEnoughInCA [S] 26 points ago +26 / -0

I meant among the really major ones, but you're right.

Except Humboldt. I was up there a few times, and that place made Berkeley look solid red.

12
BurgerChef90 12 points ago +13 / -1

Even if SD isn't fully sane, they're still far far less cucked than SF and LA, that's for sure.

18
dickwagger 18 points ago +19 / -1

O.C. (Orange County) is going great. We just had a Trumpzilla boat parade here in Newport Beach that had hundreds of boats and yachts (if not 1,000's). There were thousands of passerby that bullhorns, Trump flags, and yelled and cheered. Thousands were there for hours. There are so many true conservatives that have finally felt that they can unleash their righteous fury.

I read something the other day that said that Trump lost the popular vote by 3 million. And 2 million of the 3 were in California. I'm telling you right now that the Dems are in very big trouble in Cali. I may even venture to say that the only way they will win is if they manipulate the mail-in ballots. But I'm telling you, Cali is starting to blossom.

Weed, CA?

7
rentfREEEE_since2016 7 points ago +7 / -0

Weed’s main export were T-shirts saying “I love Weed” until weed was legalized and nobody got the joke anymore.

4
PropagandaWizard1984 4 points ago +4 / -0

I have seen many of these shirts.

ind2rep2020 3 points ago +3 / -0

there aren't any cities north of sacramento, those are towns

The facts are that the standard Newsom has set of "no new infections at all" is completely ludicrous and impossible to attain. It isn't based on any known science whatsoever.

This shouldn't even be a liberal vs conservative issue. The state already fucking opened for two months with COVID adjustments and everything was just fine. City and County boards across the state should tell Newsom to stick his executive overreach up his gaping hair gel covered asshole since apparently the California legislature is perfectly fine with giving up all semblance of constitutional separation of powers.

All it takes is one major city to tell Newsom to get fucked and others will quickly follow. Even if this doesn't have a chance of actually passing, the dialog has been started and every worried City and County facing massive deficits from the drop in tax revenue is going to start asking the question: do we gamble our political careers on not bankrupting ourselves before Biden can pass a Blue State bailout?

Also, the good news is that WHEN we recall this piece of shit Newsom and install a Republican governor, he will be able to use the prior example of King Newsom to do literally anything at all without legislative permission.

13
ind2rep2020 13 points ago +13 / -0

San Diego has low enough numbers to reduce lock down restrictions

but they were told by the state that the numbers were too low because of lack of testing

so California state government adjusted their numbers to reflect the "correct" amount of cases, and required the lock downs be maintained

9
HadEnoughInCA [S] 9 points ago +9 / -0

It's also worth mentioning that at the levels of testing the state wants, the margin of error in those tests would put you into the second or third lockdown tier all by itself. The dude isn't wrong that they created an impossible situation.

3
ind2rep2020 3 points ago +3 / -0

50% accurate test!

6
nowrongwrong 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yeah, we reached herd immunity months ago. There's no way to stop the spread period because it's just background noise at this point and anyone who has it is asymptomatic due to the viral load being so low.

That's why cities and counties need to call out that inept piece of shit for the lack of any science behind his bullshit criteria.

7
veteran299 7 points ago +7 / -0

translation: lockdown until election is over

17
Magus_Strife 17 points ago +17 / -0

That's great, but it still won't go back to normal. Bars and breweries will stay compliant because state agencies like ABC have threatened to permanently revoked licenses if they don't comply.

13
VoidWanderer 13 points ago +13 / -0

I seem to recall another point in the history of the US where people that overreached and tried to ban alcohol ended up making themselves look like morons. Bars will find a way around anything the states try and do.

3
Wtf_socialismreally 3 points ago +3 / -0

To be fair, that extended to the retail of alcohol which is unimpeded (mostly).

You can still get bottled and canned alcohol. Stocks of the more "high end" stuff may end up being low, but still for sale.

Different kind of situation.

12
Zikkafoos 12 points ago +12 / -0

HOW IS CALIFORNIA BEING MORE REASONABLE THAN NORTH CAROLINA RIGHT NOW? THIS IS PEAK CLOWN WORLD.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

12
HadEnoughInCA [S] 12 points ago +12 / -0

California is not being reasonable, it's probably the worst state in the nation. Look up our idiot governor's tier system for reopening (hint: the most "open" it ever allows things to be is 50% capacity with masks.)

San Diego is trying to be reasonable by telling the state to fuck itself, but the other 90% of CA is still mostly screwed.

12
jubyeonin 12 points ago +12 / -0

San Diego County is fairly conservative. We need people like Mr. Desmond who are in these high positions to do this. I hope the people follow without fear.

2

I heard this as well. Is it too late to put my name on the ballot? Might win just having an (R) next to my name

No joke you just might lol, Todd Gloria is really feeling it after the SB 145 backing.

Now they're getting ready lose what little power they have left.!!!! President Trump is going to have a FUN NOV 3rd election night WINNING!!!!!!! and so will all of us !!!

5
Thingthing22 5 points ago +5 / -0

Holy shit. A CA county doing this before any red county in the US? I'm starting to think mail-ins are going to go Trump's direction.

7
HadEnoughInCA [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

Don't get ahead of yourself, the mail-ins are so the Democrats can cheat by finding "late ballots" by the crate full, they have nothing to do with who is voting for what among real, non-deceased people.

5
DeplorableWeWin 5 points ago +6 / -1

As far as big cities in California, yes San Diego is the least communist. But plenty are small cities and towns East and north state are based

4
JoePCool14 4 points ago +4 / -0

If a place like San Diego could free itself from the shackles of China flu communism, that would be huge for the rest of California and other places too. This shit has been going on for LONG ENOUGH! OPEN THE COUNTRY AND NEVER CLOSE IT AGAIN!

I went down and took some photos and some audio at a small business rally hosted by a gym onwer in Ramona (nothernish SD) a few weeks ago. The gym owner is facing 5 Misdemeanors for keeping his gym open. You can find the news articles written by some major and smaller MSM. The theme was definitely ANTI closure and many came out. There are also some groups you can find on FB, if any of your are in the area, that are pushing back.

I see a trend here. I know it has sucked but I think there may be light at the end of the tunnel.🇺🇸

And because we are adults, we played along gracefully with their bullshit (for the most part)

Praying for you guys and gals out there - my hometown is Chula Vista, but I didn't grow up there. Visited family a lot over the years, but haven't been back since '90. Hope this passes and things can open back up again.

3

As much as I miss my hometown, San Diego is not sane. Too many rich liberals. East county is pretty conservative though.

The Nanny state treating healthy adults as toddlers.

The government should be blocked from closing businesses, threatening businesses or mandating any vaccines, masks or lockdowns.

NEVER AGAIN

2
HadEnoughInCA [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Since they allow citizen-sponsored ballot initiatives in this state, there needs to be one where a state of emergency cannot be declared for more than 15 days, cannot be extended by the governor, and if he tries he goes straight to prison for life with no trial. And also it's retroactive to March 2020.

2
FOREVERKAG 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good for SD County!!! It takes moves like this at a local level to really turn the country around. Not only the lock down reversal, but politics in general. The decay we see in Dem run cities and states is the Soros effect of local and state DA's, county commissioners and the like being run by leftist idealogues. In November it is important to vote for Trump, but equally important to vote locally as well!

2
