Maybe it's time for the Constitutionalist and Libertarian parties to rise from the ashes of the Republicans and Democrats?

53

Maybe it's time for them to stop voting in ways that give wins to politicians they disagree with 100% because the R candidate only agrees with them 80%. Fucking idiots fucked us in three Oregon governor's races. The Constitutionalist and Libertarian parties can fuck right off.

There are several fringe leftist parties, but apparently fringe leftists are smarter than fringe righties, because almost all fringe leftists vote D when the Ds need votes.

Thank goodness the geniuses of the Libertarian Party are outspokenly pro-BLM and think Rand Paul getting shot is a joke. If they take anyones votes it will be more D this time.

That’s the real genius of the “silent majority” political tactic. With the left showing their true colors, conservative gain followers behind the scenes, which is where is counts. Christians, whites, men and straight people are tired of being called victimizers, oppressors, racists, and stupid bigots enough to vote left (the power in identity politics), but there is a boiling point for everyone.

6
Boudicca2 6 points ago +7 / -1

They're trying to do the same in Indiana. Keep promoting a Libertarian candidate that doesn't have a bat's chance in hell of winning, but will siphon off enough votes from the imcumbent Republican governor to get a Democrat governor in, which would be a disaster right now. Honestly, one wonders if the Libertarians are Deep State weapons at this point.

2
Kolob 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nope, I know too many and have been involved since the 70's. They are starry eyed idealists who do not operate in the real world. I hope your incumbent governor has not been spending his time hacking off the electorate.

2
operator1214 2 points ago +2 / -0

The local progressives had their guys/gals/xirs run as Libertarians and Independents in races where the Republican was considered weak. They even bragged about it on their Facebook page and in meetings. They know anyone with a "D" after their name won't win in this area, but the Libertarians and Independents have shown some good placings when the local Republican isn't popular. If it siphons off enough votes, the progressives win; if it gets the "Libertarian/Independent" a win, they win even bigger (because that person is a straight up commie). I don't know what is up with the local Libertarian party HQ, but the LP as a whole is a straight up mess, which does help out the Dems more than anybody.

3
Boudicca2 3 points ago +3 / -0

I agree with you completely. The current Libertarian Party is nothing but a left wing weapon at this point.

4
Kolob 4 points ago +4 / -0

Republicans need to run candidates who are reasonable like Trump so we don't protest vote for other parties. I have zero sympathy for the Republican party, they can be every bit as full retard as Democrats are right now and many fight Trump tooth and nail. Here in Utah they have a lock down on politics and every year our taxes go up. The party put Mitt Romney in after changing nominating rules to keep out anyone who would not do their bidding. They have been fighting the voters here and overturning key parts of citizen's initiatives that passed. Luckily we stopped their most recent tax increase. Republicans here rolled out the welcome mat to illegals. They also Gerrymander out fellow Republicans to protect incumbents who hack off voters.

2
Long_time_lurker 2 points ago +2 / -0

Our voting system is unstable. We really need to look at alternative voting sometime but I don't see it happening because it will never be in the interests of the majority.

16
AmericanChevalier 16 points ago +17 / -1

Libertarians are borderline anarchists, and the libertarian ticket is Joe Jorgensen, an utter BLM moron, good ideas but an idiot overall, and an anarchist.

I would vote for the Constitutionalist party if it was popular and mainstream, right now we have to vote red and research!

3
RenaissanceOfHope 3 points ago +3 / -0

Libertarians are usually awesome at domestic policy but bad on immigration, foreign policy, and trade.

3
Kolob 3 points ago +3 / -0

I just fact checked and you are right about Jo and BLM. She is a moron. Sad to think their other candidates were nuttier.

2
AmericanChevalier 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's sad, my brother was explaining to my family about Trump and how he hasn't really done anything for 2A other then do nothing about it, and bam bump stocks, so he started talking about Jo and her policies, then my Mother, the brilliant mind she is, asked him what her stances were on pro-life, he couldn't find anything on it, or christian values.

So I did some quick twitter digging, and it turned out she was a BLM sympathizer. So my brother decided he wouldn't vote for her.

I was disappointed about Trump and the bumpstocks, but just because that happened, doesn't mean I will not vote for him.

But my brother is an ardent 2A supporter, he knows a lot about weapons.

Still, people gotta do their research or it will end up like NH, and the idiots who didn't do their research nominated a Trans Satanist Anarchist.

3
Kolob 3 points ago +3 / -0

Our entire election structure was altered in Utah to get idiots like Romney in and protect incumbents. We originally had a pure caucus delegate system. The delegates were elected to nominate candidates at the conventions. The delegates did deep research. Romney lost the delegate vote, but with the new system you can get around that by petitioning to get on a popular vote ballot for the nomination. Now the delegates get overruled by voters who do zero research, then whine after the fact. The media reports delegates as horrible fanatics who need to be stopped. Now democrat run press dominates how the public sees candidates. This is ruining our state and getting RINOs elected. I don't know how much longer this will be a decent place to live or if the electorate will wake up. Utah is the fraud capital of the country because people are so gullible here. All the people saying they had no idea Romney was such a slimeball and they are sorry they voted for him, really? Any research at all would have revealed how awful he is.

Raindrops1984 36 points ago +36 / -0

She’s a Wannabee politician who steals tribal identity and money, then denigrates the tribe and whose supporters deny sovereignty, People despise that. The white Indian with zero tie to the community, culture, or blood. They are the ones that get the big jobs and big money and don’t know what the hell they are talking about. She represents a despised group. And the Dems embraced her. Spouting disingenuous canned dog crap.

Meanwhile, Trump was honest, called a spade a spade (she was called WAY worse than Pocahontas), and DID something to improve the quality of life. People noticed.

7
synd1050 7 points ago +7 / -0

Why do lot of tribes have people who are mostly white as their members.

19
Raindrops1984 19 points ago +19 / -0

There are very few purebred ANYTHING in the world anymore. Right now, we are looking at a crisis in the next 30 years that the kids of members won’t meet the minimum standards of enrollment requirements (usually 1/16 or 1/32 minimum).

However, you are probably thinking of a state-recognized tribe, not federally recognized. Most of those are money scam free-for-all’s that the granddaughters of Cherokee princesses rush to enroll in because they can buy their way in and host a powwow. We are in the middle of a HUGE fight with the Lumbee (most of whom are black, white, or anything BUT Native). They are trying to push through a casino while not being federally recognized, which is supposed to be illegal here. It’s a money grab.

7
1776ThereIsaidIt 7 points ago +7 / -0

I have been to a few job sites where Lumbees were working. They are nice people but have the hottest tempers of any people I have met. A guy that had some hired told them their checks would be a day late and one pulled a knife on him. I think he went to the bank and got cash to pay them.

I went to school with a few and they told me that fights would break out amongst family at BBQ"s and they would literally try and kill one another.

My favorite wrestler as a kid was Chief Wahoo McDaniel. lol

I just thought tyou meant here was something recent detailing dems who left the party because of her lies and hipocracy or similar.

11
Raindrops1984 11 points ago +11 / -0

It’s more that that moment, in which the Democrat party turned against the Nation, was a catalyst. People who never voted outside of tribal elections, or voted Dem, started watching what was going on and realizing exactly what the Dems are. While it might seem like a blip on the map to some, it was a Benghazi type moment to many.

13
ailurus 13 points ago +13 / -0

Elizabeth Warren claimed for years to be part native american. She finally got a genetic ancestry test and came out as 1/1024 native american. And then at the DNC a month ago they still had her as part of the native american caucus.

9
minttea2 9 points ago +9 / -0

Nope. She had far too little "native" blood to test.

They had to use markers from "Indigenous individuals" from North, Central and South America as a reference group to compare Warren’s DNA.

Warren may be part Mexican. Or be blood (a fraction of a drop) to the homies of MS-13.

I once met the elders of a very famous Native American tribe. Although they really begrudged white people for obvious reasons, they were very hardcore Right-wing. They were very pro-Wall. One of them said to me, "We need to take care of our own people first. Had our ancestors done that, the white man would not have taken our buffalo." Interestingly, they were very very proud of their military service in Vietnam, Korea, etc.

20
leo-bulero 20 points ago +20 / -0

When it comes to those tests anything around 1% or below is usually just statistical noise. In Warren's case that's almost certainly the case since America's top expert in tracing Native American genealogy traced her ancestry back more than 200 years and found nothing except white people.

10
Afeazo 10 points ago +10 / -0

What blows me away is she released this 1/1024 news like it was going to be some huge "Aha!" towards Trump. Ended up being just another nail in the coffin for her campaign.

For sure just noise. Got my 23&Me a few years ago and it said i'm .6% African. As they got more data and updated their algorithms, the African bit moved to the Caucasus. Everything but the most zoomed out view is worth taking with a grain of salt.

4
Ragnar_Danneskjold 4 points ago +4 / -0

I recall hearing about an employee of one of those genetics testing companies, and I think it was specifically 23&Me in fact, who revealed that when he tested samples from people with 100% European ancestry, he would change the results they sent back to the client with some small portion of African ancestry added in as a "fuck you" to white people. You may have actually been one of his or someone similar's victims.

operator1214 1 point ago +1 / -0

Those tests are kinda bs (DNA is an interesting thing that we don't know everything about; you don't inherit every bit of DNA, unchanged, from both families, so each generation some genetic material is lost to that particular offspring during recombination) -- and then there's the whole concept of culture vs. nature. It's more of a cool parlor game if you ask me.

So of course, my adult age kids had to run out and get themselves tested...oy....

12
lerm4comptroller 12 points ago +12 / -0

Worse, none of the tribes actually participated in any of the DNA gathering (for very obvious reasons, for anyone that knows the history), so the actual demographic she was compared with was South American.

The bitch could be 1/1024 Brazilian for all we know, based on that dumb test.

8
GoldwaterVoter 8 points ago +8 / -0

And the sample to compare to for the 1/1024 was NOT native North American -- it was mix of South American to sub as they had no access to N. American!!!

Not just that. Natives, per capita, are the biggest demographic to join the armed forces. Lots of vets. Native reservations are flooded with illegal immigrants and drugs. Border security is essential. Trump is the first president to donate money to the fund to locate missing and murdered indigenous women. Trump is the first president to host and make a big deal of the code talkers. Also, Indian Health is government-run hot garbage. We know exactly what socialized medicine will look like. Right now, we still have the option to go to better private hospitals for the big stuff.

MAGA_APN 14 points ago +14 / -0

Without disclosing too much info so left could dox you, can you explain the issues with poverty on the reservations. In Montana at least, it comes down to private property.

Ours is actually pretty well off since the casino. Now there are nice schools, housing programs, work, addiction services. My grandparents, however, grew up without a floor, with a wood stove and an outhouse. In the 30s-50s. There are so many tribes that still live like that.

People criticize the casinos, but remember that most tribes are in isolated and shitty land. There isn’t another industry to be had. Commuting to work means going a few hours to another town. Maybe sell a basket which took days to make to buy dinner one weekend. The casinos were the first chance to get out of crippling inter-generational poverty. People were finally able to work and have a decent quality of life. But it’s a double edged sword. Now the tribe is inundated with people claiming enrollment trying to get money, predators trying to marry the high schoolers to get their big money, and drug dealers moving in. The kids get educations now because of affirmative action and tribal education subsidies, but they are indoctrinated and come home to spread the brain waste. They leave to get education handed to them, and come back thinking they are bigger victims than their grandparents.

So long story short, quality of life depends on the tribe, casinos are great but a double edged swords, and our young people are also being indoctrinated.

MAGA_APN 2 points ago +2 / -0

Would be really awesome if Trump could also help some of the tribes become more prosperous. He seems to be open to creative ideas, I think there is great opportunity for amazing things to happen. The indoctrination has to stop, and the issues of addiction and alcoholism have to be hit hard. Where we stayed in Oregon, we would have welcomed a clean, safe place to stay......but not in an area that looks like time forgot....in the worst way! Best of luck to you and yours! Lets MAGA Nov 3, 2020!

Hopefully they can turn Crow Reservation around.

Really went downhill over the Obama years, and they endorsed him when he came there in 2008.

Good for them for breaking the trend.

These are great folks, tribal lands in vicinity of southern Montana. If you want to visit real America, plan to visit their Native Days events next summer:

Oh man I would love that. I’ve read a lot of mountain man books by Terry C Johnston, and the Crow were his protagonist’s closest allies. Lots of the stories were set in Absaroka. Been to Wyoming twice but still haven’t made it specifically there.

A friend of a friend I went to grade school with is in tribal leadership for the Grand Ronde tribe in Oregon. They are rural and I wonder how federal forest mismanagement is affecting them and if they are pissed off about the fires and may hem. Our mutual friend is in Portland and the only Trump supporters she knows are rednecks from our youth. I promised her other people she knows voted Trump and kept their mouths shut.

3
Raindrops1984 3 points ago +3 / -0

I don’t know much about West Coast tribes. But the big ones (Navajo, Hopi, Cherokee, Crowe, Cheyenne, etc.) have been sending out environmental experts for years to try to convince California to do burn backs. A friend of mine was a consultant. He said they were weirdly condescending and fetishizing, but refused to listen on this. Native tribes have learned here for millennia. Burn backs were always a huge part of maintaining ecosystem health. The Southern East Coast states get that, so forest fires aren’t as devastating here (ie a few years ago teens burned Gatlinburg TN to the ground but the surrounding forest was surprisingly lightly scathed. Environmentalists think they know best but do many of them are just hippies who like to hike and have no clue about anything meaningful.

3
Kolob 3 points ago +3 / -0

So true, I lived in a small logging town young and private forests rarely burn as they are well managed. Clear cutting is actually good for the ecosystem. Old growth forests don't sequester much of their precious carbon, that is more the young growth. Long before Columbus tribes managed forests through proscribed burns, makes me nuts. The forest in Santa Cruz county that just burned, my sister used to live there, had not been thinned or had anything dead removed, nor burns, since '93. Nearly every house burned to the ground.

Can native american tribes even vote in our elections? They are supposed to be sovereign and separate nations, where we have no authority over their affairs. Not that our government has ever bothered to honor the treaties we signed with them.

17
Raindrops1984 17 points ago +17 / -0

Yes, we can vote in state, local, and tribal elections.

1
Butcher_bear 1 point ago +2 / -1

Good to know. I wasn't sure since reservations are supposed to be totally sovereign and the government isn't supposed to have any say in what goes on there.

It's tricky and depends on a lot of factors, but typically most federal laws apply while state laws only apply if they've entered into jurisdiction agreement with the state. I hate linking to Wikipedia but it does have an up to date article on all the intricacies and historic case law https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_country_jurisdiction

2
Butcher_bear 2 points ago +3 / -1

Just as a heads up, there is a very good alternative to Wikipedia that isn't propoganda run by communists. I would highly recommend checking it out. It's called Infogalactic.

4

The refusal of cultural marxists to understand that American Indians aren't one giant unit that thinks and acts the same is one of their most racist mentalities.

So it's always nice when the leaders of different tribes actually speak out. Even better when they endorse our guy.

It's because the DNC put Warren in their "Native American Caucus" at their convention despite her lying about being anything but pure white for decades. Shes the go-to person to mock in these matters.

I remember reading about that and was sad not to have learned it in school (I was born in the 70’s), as it’s a really remarkable and important bit of history. I mean, you can’t really make a more important contribution than that, imho. My mom’s from Oneida, NY btw. You guys probably own part of Grampa’s farm now, kek.
