I won't. I'm in VA, heavily armed and I have a significantly shorter temper than the McCloskeys

We should be friends.

We have a saying here, though it hasn't held much meaning recently.

Sic semper evello mortem tyrannis.

Fully loaded stand your ground laws is probably what keeps those college-age authoritarians from crossing the Potomac.

Scumbag-reddit 11 points ago +11 / -0

Where in VA? I fled to FL after heeding the warning signs...shortly after the 2016 election. I was in hellhole Nova

7
PeaceThroughStrength 7 points ago +7 / -0

The worst place.

I moved in where you left and it's even funnier that I moved from Florida.

That said, I'm fairly certain VA still has looser gun laws than FL.

I feel a breath of fresh air when I take my bike to places which aren't by the Metro and I see Betsy Ross Flags on actual houses which aren't fucking rowhouses.

I feel an even greater breath of fresh air when I hear southernism, sirs and ma'ams, please and thank yous, and y'all.

4
Scumbag-reddit 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yeah I love the rest of virginia, beautiful place. Shame that Nova ruined it for me.

I'm perfectly fine with the gun laws here; the only thing different that I've noticed is no open carry here but I'm not sure if that's still even a thing there these days.

2
PeaceThroughStrength 2 points ago +2 / -0

It still is in the rest of VA but I'm not sure if it ever was northeast of Tyson's.

I'll find out on the evening of November 3 as I glare into Georgetown.

Hunterscrackbaby 4 points ago +4 / -0

You mean you have big arms right?

Because Gov. Blackface said guns are bad. Right?

The thickest, most Oprah-esque arms you can imagine.

About 5.56 mm in skin alone.

2
AcostasButtPlug 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hell yeah. I live in Richmond right next to the downtown police station which had heavy rioting so I'm definitely getting out of the city. Just bought my first firearm a couple weeks ago I just wish I could find ammo for it so I could practice more before November.

2
PeaceThroughStrength 2 points ago +2 / -0

Try an airsoft rifle.

Sig Sauer has some really cool high powered semi-autos available and you can buy ammo for those on the cheap.

It doesn't give your shoulder as bad a kick or ringing in your ears but accuracy training is the same.

There's a house with a massive Trump 2020 banner near me. It's been up since right after Mueller couldn't figure out what page of his report Congress was reading from.

I want to go make friends with him and watch the election starting at 8pm until it's declared he's the winner.

16
Jaqen 16 points ago +17 / -1

You're going to be in front of that television for several weeks if not months.

Their plan is to delay the election results due to mail in voting, which takes a long time to reconcile. This much is certain from the debacle of the recent local elections that used mass mail in voting.

13
JoeBidensDementia1 13 points ago +13 / -0

Why do so many users think that mail-in voting is the only way that this election will be voted by?

It's called a polling station, people. And the results are immediate.

3
QuestioningAcademic 3 points ago +3 / -0

You have my new favorite name.

1
JoeBidensDementia1 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thanks, fellow pede!

I thought it would be orginal, but I'm the second person to have a twisted sense of humor. Like lots of people on .WIN. I've only been on for about 2 weeks but haven't found the other user yet.

4
QuestioningAcademic 4 points ago +4 / -0

You mean the 1 wasn’t planned? I pronounced as “won”. Which gives it a much darker tone.

1
JoeBidensDementia1 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, the 1 was needed because JoeBidensDementia was already taken.

2
QuestioningAcademic 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ahhh very well, well I think “Joe Biden’s Dementia Won” is a helluva name in itself.

2
Jaqen 2 points ago +2 / -0

Who claimed mail in is the only method? Not me.

Is it possible to reconcile the vote on the night of the election with mail in votes? Apparently not, look at how that worked out so far.

Their plan is to delay the reconciliation indefinitely.

2
JoeBidensDementia1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Right, I know you didn't say that mail -in voting was the only way. You were just about the 4th user to reply about it. And I felt like users were only thinking mail-in voting is the only way now because that's what Trump and the DNC is talking about.

Trump talking about it has led to more stories and reporting, iirc, about voter fraud. The most I've seen is about 20% in one instance where the votes were rejected. Now, 20% is a lot. But the other stories, it's only a few hundred out of several thousand votes. Still bad, but not as bad as Trump is trying to make it out to be.

2
Jaqen 2 points ago +2 / -0

Still bad, but not as bad as Trump is trying to make it out to be.

Destroying the sanctity of US elections is about as bad as it gets fren. This is how civil wars are started.

Prepare.

2
JoeBidensDementia1 2 points ago +2 / -0

The elections have always been filled with fraud. Democrats use dead voters all the time. They even bus people in from other places to get them to vote in other districts.

This sort of thing isn't new just because Trump is shining a light on it. Just as he did with calling out the MSM during his election campaign.

If he loses in November, or we have to deal with President Nance for awhile then I'll protest and get ready.

2
Jaqen 2 points ago +2 / -0

The elections have always been filled with fraud. Democrats use dead voters all the time. They even bus people in from other places to get them to vote in other districts.

While all true, that is bush league level cheating compared to what is possible with mail in voting. Chain of custody is key.

We all know the Domocrats are going to cheat, but what will surprise some is the absolute depravity that will be on display this November. This is an existential crisis for their party. Do or die, as they say.

It is going to be very, very ugly.

4
BlondeBombshell88 [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

So you’re moving in for months/years?? Because the dems know they’re gonna lose and that’s why they’re doing this mail in bullshit, to claim trump cheated so they can never declare a winner.

1
JoeBidensDementia1 1 point ago +1 / -0

He's already brought up how mail-in voting is full of fraud. He beat them to the punch about it.

When he wins, they'll claim he colluded with Russia again. Trump will then say that's old news and that they should accept the results.

2
TheMattyMonster 2 points ago +2 / -0

They've already cycled back to Muh Russia. Saw an article that intelligence "sources" say the Trump campaign is working with the Russians.

1
JoeBidensDementia1 1 point ago +1 / -0

I saw that on r/politics

What a shit show that place is. I can guarantee you that r/Conservative will be shut down shortly after Trump's reelection. All the libtards over on Reddit will use their alt accounts and raid the sub and say shit that'll get the sub banned.

26
DCdeplorable 26 points ago +27 / -1

I've been thinking about doing this. But election night wont be when a winner is declared, so you'd better plan to stick it out in that cabin for a week or two.

Dems want to push it into late Jan....

I'm in the San Fernando Valley. Hoping that there's enough sane middle of the road folks left here that it won't happen.

I'm in LA as well, I'm more worried about when the cop that knelt on George Floyd get exonerated. I'm down for a Big Bear trip for both occasions.

I live on the bay area peninsula. It has been surprisingly tame throughout this entire ordeal. Extraordinarily quiet, I think, especially considering the bay was one of the major sites for Occupy Dumbass back in '09 or whatever.

I'm still debating getting a handgun on the hush hush (the lady probably won't approve and I don't feel like arguing) just in case, but again, I'm surprised how little tumult there's been here or even up in San Francisco.

1
Sd2445 1 point ago +1 / -0

You must not have spent much time in Vallejo or Oakland. Every window in Vallejo was broken, followed by rows of military humvees and an armed national guardsman every 20 feet for 2 weeks. Didn't see much of that reported on the internet though.

It is surprising SF hasn't joined the Seattle / Portland stupidity. The quiet is the sound of the Californian economy dying for good, by order of Governor Newsom, in my estimation. You should get a gun or leave if possible.

1
1080pleb 1 point ago +1 / -0

I can understand not seeing any of this on main stream media, but I never saw mention of it here either. I hope you stayed safe!

1
1080pleb 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, Creek is waaay out there. Hopefully higher density of common sense though.

1
daveywavey86 1 point ago +1 / -0

not really. back in may i stood in the busiest intersection in the city with a MAGA hat and holding signs regarding opening CA, fire newsom and pelosi, and telling karen's to quit snitching and to live their lives.

i got a couple thumbs ups, but mostly middle fingers, people yelling, and being told i was a racist. note that walnut creek is a pretty affluent area. these people are so full of white guilt its unreal. some lady and her husband gave me the thumbs up, and then came back 5 mins later with gatorade for me cuz it was like 100 degrees out.

this was later on the same day of libertyfest in sacramento (which i also went to). i got severely sunburned that day. but i did it for america :) MAGA2020

I live in a cabin in the woods, but that was a lifestyle choice before all this chaos started. I’m pretty grateful for that decision now!

I live in the hills on the edge of the Bay Area. I will have every weapon I own loaded and ready

3

Move, the sooner the better. California sucks now anyway. They are more locked down than most of the rest of the country and for no good reason other than Newson said so.

5

Can’t, have my dream job in Hollywood. But there are conservative areas that make it tolerable.

2
infinitedreams088 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've been working all over LA, including Hollywood for 7 years, but live way out in a small, quiet, safe, suburb. There's lots of us here.

1
BlondeBombshell88 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Simi?

3
RealityCalling 3 points ago +3 / -0

Good idea. Let’s reserve a campground somewhere for the watch party.

3

You won't be safe just because you're gone for one night.

You've got to get out of the cities.

1
BlondeBombshell88 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’m saving up to buy a house in Simi Valley in 2022. Very conservative area and all the LAPD live there lol.

2
zettapede 2 points ago +2 / -0

I come from there, dude. It's not going to be safe. Get out of the LA metro.

3

Montana seems like God's country. It's definitely on the list.

Just change plates. Rent a car, or make a fake dealer tag. Don't come here with CA, CO, MN, IN, OR, WA.... Tags.

1

IN tags?

1
bigdickhangsright 1 point ago +1 / -0

No worries there. Nowhere near those states

2
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 2 points ago +2 / -0

I live in a small (less than 10K population) town that is politically split about evenly and I fully expect serious fuckery out of the Democrats here this year too. They are radicalized and full of hate.

2

Nope. Going to work the next day with a giant grin on my face.

Anybody who lives in a large democrat run city should rent a cabin for at least a week or whatever they need to do to get out of town.

2
YourMamma57 2 points ago +2 / -0

Could happen sooner if George Floyd cops are acquitted

1
DatNewbChemist 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'd honestly bring a gun with some ammo and food if you have it. (Just enough food/water to get through a couple days.) Definitely put some thought into stashing away anything of value. If you have some nice watches, I'd consider throwing those in a safety deposit box at a main branch for a big bank. If you have memorabilia or larger items that are worth a pretty penny and hard to replace (maybe an original Chihuly or something, I don't know), consider renting out a nondescript storage space and stashing some stuff in some boxes there for the month. You don't have to gut your house of any and all valuables, but stuff that is hard to replace you'll want to protect.

1
45willwinagain 1 point ago +1 / -0

You're halfway to the right idea, just leave for good... fuck em.

Anyone living in a major US city, GET OUT NOW BEFORE THE ELECTION.

1
Ironball 1 point ago +1 / -0

Smart move. I wouldn't wait until election night.

1
MrHotep 1 point ago +1 / -0

From a small town in the northeastern part of the country. We've got Trump signs all over town and I know my neighbors are well armed, as am I. Not worried. For you city folk, good luck...shit is already crazy.

1

I live in LA, too. I need to buy a gun or something.

In N CA, worried as fuck for close fam in Ventura Co and SoBay up here. I am JUST far enough on the edge of the edge city I should be ok.

Bring all your stuff with you, find and rent in advance a storage unit up there, rent a uHaul and transport most things up a few weeks ahead.

A week before pull all excess cash from main account too and some in small bills, check if local branch or sister CU/bank in advance. In fact, if you haven't already open local quality CU accounts and move everything including autopays; significantly more stable and safe.

Buy Thomas maps of SoCal and possibly a topo for your cabin area, purchase winter travel items in case you are there longer or system hits.

Plan for poss bad signal and loss of power, arrange secondary contact methods with loved ones.

Of course prep cabin for self sufficiency.

Maybe you have a few friends who want to do the same and can track down close open cabins NOW for Halloween fwds...

1
BlondeBombshell88 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

wow, yeah that's intense. I have it rented from November 3-8. I have a ton of survival stuff i'll bring with me. you really think it's gonna be that bad??

2

It’s bad ass to know there are kick ass pedes in LA. Living out here is like a filthy mud hole.

1
BlondeBombshell88 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

It is. The homelessness in my area has gotten absolutely out of control

2

No wonder why you have survival gear. xD

I don’t own property in LA yet haha. But I’m planning to buy a house in Simi Valley which is super based

1

Simi valley hosted the Rodney King Trial

1
BlondeBombshell88 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sorry what does that mean haha, I vaguely know the guys name and the riots from 1993 but what is the significance that the trial was in Simi?

You're better off bugging in than bugging out I'd say.

Stay home and defend your house.

There's no telling how bad roads will be after election night.

Pro Tip: have more than one gun available.
