I have genuine questions about these leftists, and would love to hear a professional psychologists take.

Watching the riot livestreams and looking at various clips & social media accounts, you see continuously that the majority of these people are stuck in some sort of permanent emotional childhood.

Spray painting everywhere and on everything. Smashing windows. It's all adolescent behavior.

They constantly repeat themselves over and over, even when they're not chanting their slogans. And they chant in childish sing song tones.They constantly argue with everyone - and they scream mindlessly at the top of their lungs when they can't debate.

On the livestreams you'll sometimes even see them skipping instead of walking.

The same is true even for the older adults, you can see in their behavior that they've never grown up emotionally. Look at Biden with his physical threats and Pelosi with her paper ripping stunt.

Seriously, what gives? It really does look like mental illness to me. But what specifically??

With a lot of those people, it's very simple: there's no point to their lives. No purpose. No anchor and no rudder. They're looking for something to give themselves the feeling that they're useful and important.

But, take a look at the ways they do that. They stand around waving signs and spouting slogans. Do they get jobs at soup kitchens to help the poor? Do they get jobs as police officers and do the job the way THEY think it should be done? (I mean, speaking to any SJW out there who might be reading this: if YOU had been the one arresting George Floyd, Floyd would be alive right now--wouldn't he......?) The point of this is, they specifically AVOID solutions that involve actual work.

Most of these protesters are white and well-educated. They have affluenza. They're without purpose--and lazy. However, this is mostly generalization with a big helping of guesswork thrown in. Take a sample of ten thousand people, you'll probably get five thousand backstories. (assuming you can get accurate information out of them--most radical wingnuts will NOT admit that they feel useless, nor admit that they're lazy).

You're right - I wish they'd find something more productive or constructive to devote their energy towards!

Not a professional psychologist, but I think it boils down to 3 steps/phases:

  1. Whether born into privilege or broken/poor/abusive homes these kids weren’t raised properly with moral parents who actually tried to RAISE them. They were raised by TV and bad public education/indoctrination and now nearly 20 years of online/social media shaping their worldview. Christianity used to be the foundation of our society but I truly believe by taking God out of schools we destroyed the last few generations of children who have now grown up.

  2. Without a moral compass these kids enter adulthood, and then they are challenged in new ways they don’t understand. There are consequences and jobs and working and rules and they don’t know how to handle most of this stuff because they were coddled or abused/neglected and taught 80% useless material in their educations. With the removal of God and the belief in absolute truth, a vacuum is created. Nature abhors a vacuum. So what fills it? Religiosity of social justice, environmentalism, statism, Marxism. Something HAS to fill the empty hole.

  3. Now we have broken adults clinging to their new religions. The fervor that used to be reserved for church and building healthy societies/families and safeguarding children has morphed into a self-obsessed culture of narcissists and baby tyrants. They are trying to heal themselves by the chanting and riots and breakdowns we witnessed. Evil has unfortunately infiltrated into many of their lives—whether they realize it or not. I think there is a split among this group—probably 30% are actively malicious and the rest are useful, broken idiots. The women are infected with liberalism and feminism and the men are soyboys or lazy/uninterested in growing up because they don’t have to. These broken people can’t contribute in a meaningful way to society and now they’ve been given “permission” to smash and burn and loot and riot, acting out in a perpetual Godless tempter tantrum.

I’m no psychologist, but to me it looks like a bunch of people who were never properly disciplined as children so they never learned to grow up. Seriously, Make Spanking Normal Again. It works.

Mob mentality and cult-like indoctrination can make even sane people do insane things.

There is no way to know "what gives specifically" without talking to each person and hearing about their past in detail.

But if I had to guess, some issue with their parents.

IMHO a lot of this is rebelling against "authority"

Parents = authority figure

Government = authority figure

Cops = authority figure

Acting out against authority includes doing ANYTHING you imagine authority (or society) will not like.

Sometimes activity that you're not even really into, but imagine will piss off other people.

Some of this stuff might just be conformity and wanting to be cool and fit it.

There's a pretty good article at Hotair that might give you some ideas. https://hotair.com/archives/john-s-2/2020/07/31/james-lindsay-woke-wont-debate/

Basically, liberals consciously divorce themselves from reality because they prefer stories or narratives. Using objective reality in a debate with a liberal will only get you a hilarious tantrum which is why they don't debate.

There's also the dopamine hit from virtue signaling, the victimization that absolves you of any responsibility over your life, and a host of other issues.

Democrats are unhappy because they screw up their lives and prefer make-believe over negotiating with the real world to fix it.

They hate themselves and repeating woke nonsense is a punishment intended to cleanse them of their guilt, but it doesn't work. Wanton destruction is another outlet to purge their hate, but it can never be satisfied either.

Not a professional psychologist but here is my take:

The repeating a phrase over and over and over is purely a black thing. You won’t find non-blacks doing it. It’s a weird hood culture thing, like screaming over each other after someone makes a sick burn in that gif. Sometimes there’s a background guy who echoes it too. In these videos the repetition is really getting out of hand, and seems to be getting worse, almost like ghetto culture has deteriorated completely and now people just have nothing so say so they repeat the same phrase over and over.

Repeating the same phrase over and over is a tell tale sign of someone attempting to convince themselves of something. It’s also a tell tale sign of lying, as if repeating it over and over makes it true. Both examples are lying, actually, but in the first example you’re lying to yourself, so you repeat it over and over as a defence mechanism. When something really horrible happens to someone, they often repeat “this isn’t happening” over and over, as if repeating it makes it true.

These people who are rioting are all narcissistic, and trade fantasy for reality or a regular basis, so repeating their version of reality over and over is all they have, because the real world is nothing like they want it to be. They arent even capable of seeing the real world for what it is, only a sick twisted version of it. That’s the fucked Up thing about narcissists and borderlines and other severely fucked up people. Their perception of reality is completely different and detached from reality.

About the other behaviours, you nailed it, these people are adult children. When people grow up in dysfunctional families, single parent families, or alcoholic/drug abusive families, or if their parents have personality disorders, these children never learn the proper skills for how to be a functioning adult. Your parents never taught you things like personal responsibility or emotional boundaries or ego boundaries, so you actually think that people who are normal and healthy and have healthy boundaries are the ones who are sick, and if only everyone had porous ego boundaries and put other people’s problems ahead of their own, the world would be a better place. Adult children of dysfunctional/addicted/abusive families can only guess at what normal is. They’ve never experienced it. In fact, when they see normal, it makes them uncomfortable, it reminds them that they aren’t normal, and they lash out and try to destroy it.

Thank you for your reply. You're right about it mosty being black people that are constantly repeating themselves. Now that I think about it - it's always been a black person repeating something over and over.

There was a black guy livestreaming the other night. He was walking down the street, and I can't remember what he was saying now, but he said it a good 10 or 15 times in a row. He wasn't talking to anyone but himself...

It seems like some weird combination of narcissism and histrionic or borderline personality disorder.

It’s all a show for them. They play it up. Black culture was all about sound bites and reaction gif type overreactions before Instagram was a thing and before social media was a thing. And now that Instagram is a thing, the whole “do it for the gram” culture is just on steroids. So everyone over-emotes now and over exaggerates their reactions in black culture, because it’s all a performance.

It also has a self hypnotizing effect when you chant the same thing over and over at a certain beat. That’s what meditation is often based on, repeating a mantra over and over and over.

Yeah, this whole "LOOK AT ME!!!" culture is completely out of control.

"LOOK AT ME" , narcissism, attention whore syndrome

its all completely mainstream and ""normal"" now

social media is wrecking minds
