DID I HEAR SOMEBODY SAY “NATIONWIDE CONCEALED CARRY”?

Cause I thought I did. Hey, that’s something you could enact with a variety of orders, interpretations, understandings, decrees, deputizations, prosecutorial decisions... solely within the Executive branch!

HOW EXCITING!

Barr, having earned his Justice chops in his first AG role under HW Bush, cannot possibly be anything but a Deep State thoroughbred. No one will ever Change My Mind.

34
Toughsky_Shitsky 34 points ago +42 / -8 (edited)

Barr is literally the defense attorney for the deep state.

There is a very good reason that Barr was able to be confirmed by the never-Trump senate.

Take a look at what Susan Collins and Mittens are doing to a Trump nominee for Federal Reserve Board.

And Collins is just one of 8-10 never-Trumpers in that 53-47 shithole senate. Mittens, Murkowski, Burr, Gardner, Rubio, Graham, Sasse, and a few who hide it better.

Collins is fighting for her seat up in dipshit Maine. She’s still a turd but she has her reasons. Romney...Romney truly is a cunt.

Lankford in Oklahoma is one of the stealthy never-Trump cunts

2
crusty_curmudgeon 2 points ago +2 / -0

Collins fancies herself a deep and independent thinker. She’s too cool to stand with the President.

She might remember that she’s facing a tough election — the Dems have targeted her specifically, hoping we won’t vote for her.

As we all keep telling ourselves, we can’t lose the Senate. But I am really looking forward to seeing these RINOs lose their seats in 2024, and 2026

Senate confirmation is needed for AG. How many of the following never-Trumpers were gonna confirm an AG that would break up their club: Collins, Mittens, Murkowski, Burr, Gardner, Rubio, Graham, Sasse ?

Trusting Trump is not the issue .. understanding how DC works is how we despise Barr and still trust Trump.

Step away from your internet magic faerie and read some 5th grade civics .. you might learn something.

Give barr a chance. All of this has to be done by the book. If AG BARR just invaded these Democrat states who have told their police to stand down then violates how our American system is suppose to function. So BARR and others are trying to fix this issue by the book and the way American is designed to function. States have rights too and AG barr can only do what the laws allow him to do or he would be no better than the democrats. Also part of this is our fight as well. WE have to vote these DEMOCRATS OUT OF OFFICE. In these cities allowing riots..

If there was justice in the world Zuckerberg would go to jail for lying to Congress. Congress is the representative of the people, and it is the core of this Democratic Republic. If anyone can lie to Congress, it creates a breakdown of that process.

That being said, Congressman should also go to jail for lying to Congress, he faact that they are elected representatives make their lies even more egregious, yet for some reason, Congress has immunity for their lies.

That being the case, if they could lie, than those that testify in front of them should not be held to a higher standard then they themselves are.

Which is why Congress in its current state, is a joke

14
EnoughPAU 14 points ago +14 / -0

Congressmen should also be liable for their actions. Police, doctors etc all can get sued, but congress has made themselves immune, that needs to end, and maybe then the rampant corruption in Washington will improve.

Constant ‘doom and gloom’ perpetuates the status quo. That’s why shills try to push it on us. It’s demoralizing and defeatist (obviously), and subconsciously normalizes acceptance of its own self-fulfilling prophecy.

It’s a bad habit, the equivalent of ‘I’ll never get a job!’

1

5

...but wut? Yer balls fell off? Trump realized he had a bigger fight to address (e.g. China Trade) than Strzok, Page Hillbeef, and Mueller, and he went out and achieved it while he was still under direct attack.

We’re not going to get everything to work out perfectly — we keep fighting on.

If Trump can face down these bastards every day with a smile, the rest of us have no excuse to stare glumly at our shoes.

Yes you are right. But just try making a citizen's arrest... your ass will be shot on the spot.

This criminal referral is the very first god damn piece of action that we've seen. It's gonna be hard for Zuck to laugh this off... "They can't put me in prison, right guys? right?"... It has to make his asshole pucker. @Jack has gotta be rethinking his whole position.

We only need one of these traitorous fucks to flip and the whole house of cards could come tumbling down. We don't need to take down the whole deep state, we just need ONE. And that one could multiply to many when no one wants take one for the team. The Left has to know this. That's why they are so shrill. They have to get the police defunded so that nobody can arrest them!

Ah, no... it doesn't work that way. You or I can not file charges (otherwise we already would have).

But, come November 3rd, we will have our say at the ballot box.

Well Trump himself has been blocked, by accusations, Mueller investigations, obstruction threats, traitors in his own administration, and political & structural limitations on his personal ability to take action. He also (rightly, as it turns out) realized that he was in a trap designed to goad him into reacting; that ultimately, the problem was much, much bigger than a few ‘bad apples’ heading our institutions, and would require ‘upstream’ intervention against the swamp (which he has demonstrably taken).

For Barr’s part, firstly he obviously faces a practical political problem in that any action he takes can be stymied, undone, or even turned around to attack and remove him (clear examples exist for anyone who has been watching). He is somewhat hamstrung by some structural and procedural limitations of his own, as well as ‘resistance’ operatives working to sabotage him. He faces two really BIG problems, though:

First, because the corruption has spread so far and wide, metastasizing through multiple institutions across all three branches of government, he has to be careful that he doesn’t ‘kill the patient’. To some degree, petty corruption is a grease that keeps the parts moving, or maybe a ‘friendly bacteria’ that helps the body politic digest, so there’s an indeterminate line of what is an acceptable level, especially for top officers in our law enforcement agencies — and an ‘immunity’ that protects them from accusations of ‘bad faith’ decision-making (that he needs to maintain for the future to protect the whole executive branch). If he starts cutting and removing all the infections at once, we’ll... then what is he actually saving? He doesn’t want to do the plotters’ job for them by destroying and delegitimizing our whole government!

Secondly, he faces a very practical problem of jury nullification and either corrupt or far leftist judges everywhere in D.C. (again, several examples of Barr running into this problem have already happened). His solution seems to be an attempt to investigate and prosecute the plotters under RICO as an organized conspiracy (Durham is an expert in this) whereby the charges can brought in a venue outside of D.C. That strategy would require avoiding the very ‘low hanging fruit’ individual charges people have screamed about, and waiting until a complex case can be assembled and brought against all of them at once...

Better stand up now before these tech companies control the narrative for every election.

Uh oh. I wonder if he wrote the referral in super cereal bold text?

12

Surely a strongly worded letter will deter their hidden and overt agendas now, right guys? Perhaps a slap on the wrist would help? Or a token fine? They'll get the message THIS time.

0
Buttfart88 0 points ago +3 / -3

The dumbest thing we could possibly do is hold these big tech companies accountable. Sure, they’re brain washing the citizens at a rapid pace and doing untold damage to our country but consider the precedent

2
lurker247 2 points ago +4 / -2

What do you propose?

4
Chopblock 4 points ago +8 / -4

That you make an inventory of your skills, examine the enemy actions and situation, and then figure out what YOU CAN do to best apply your assets where they are most effective.

Gaetz used his position to strike a blow. Will it bring down FB? — probably not. But he was in a unique position to do it so he made the effort. There’s SOMETHING(S) you do better than most people, that can make up for a lack that someone else has. Even if it’s registering your cousins to vote, talking about Trump, and ridin’ them to the polls on Election Day, or sending a few bucks to Judicial Watch, or helping new gun owners learn how to care for their weapons, or speaking up at your local church, or even writing angry letters!

2
Chestbras 2 points ago +3 / -1

Gaetz used his position to strike a blow.

What blow? What happened? What penalty did they suffer?
How is it a blow in any sense of the word?
Just more words words words words....

-1
Chopblock -1 points ago +2 / -3

Words and impressions is what politics is all about. The ‘blow’ is that normies might hear about it on the news and think Facebook has been found guilty of criminality, and it filters up through the markets and costs Zuckerbot a million or so in market cap and some lost opportunities.

0
Chestbras 0 points ago +1 / -1

normies might hear about it

Where, on Facebook? Please.
That does NOTHING for "normies".

0
Chopblock 0 points ago +1 / -1

Information trickles out and is interpreted by the public in weird ways. Just because you know more about it or understand it in a different way, it would be a mistake to project your outlook or knowledge onto the ‘general public’.

People are strange and wonderful beings, full of surprises.

24
patslimmy1 24 points ago +24 / -0

Congressman Matt Gaetz Files Criminal Referral Against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Today, U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) filed a criminal referral against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for making materially false statements to Congress while under oath during two joint hearings in Congress on April 10th, 2018 and April 11th, 2018.

We've seen criminal referrals go nowhere so there's really no reason to believe this one will go anywhere, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't have done it. It's his job and his duty to his constituents to advocate one their behalf, and all of our loser reps need to get their shit together and make referrals, too, when there's a basis for them to do so.

5
h203h 5 points ago +5 / -0

Gaetz is learning from President Trump. He might be a future POTUS that will protect our constitution. If he and Grennell teamed up and ran for President and Vice President or even have Grennell as head of FBI and have Trump JR help Grennell we keep an awesome shape for the USA

5
FlimboFlongins 5 points ago +5 / -0

There were other Criminal Charges Congressman Gaetz noted in the addendum, requiring some explanation. It was noted that due to the way he was drinking water during the session, Gaetz suggested Zuckerberg may in fact not be human. Whole different ball game. ICE is looking in to the matter, as is the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.

I'm a little sick of congress running around trying to put people in perjury traps. They are not a crime fighting body. I'm in favor of taking away Congress's subpoena power. The only people they should be able to subpoena are federal employees, so they can function as oversight. But going out into the public so they can do kickflips off unpopular people pisses me off. Who's more unpopular than congress? The American people need to be able to subpoena congress, not the other way around.

I’ve concluded that the people who make these claims are not telling us the truth. Otherwise, why is it that the Republicans seem to get prosecuted INSTANTLY and harshly but the god damn Democrats can do anything and nothing ever fucking happens to them. Is the entire system that corrupt?
