Personally liable, I hope. Otherwise we just sue and taxpayers pay for it.

YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 55 points ago +55 / -0

Personally liable,

Yes. Only way or forget it.

angryamerican1964 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ditto

POTUS_DonnieJ 23 points ago +23 / -0

Personally liable, or if they don’t have the money to cover it, tax exempt until the debt to the property owner is paid off.

8
doodaddy 8 points ago +8 / -0

Hopefully. Also, why not hold them liable even if they did not "withhold" police protection? Run your city or fuck off. Everyone wants a turn at pulling the knobs and getting paid handsomely (and getting bribed and kicked back).

Why is Ted Cruz the only one coming up with legislation to redress Liberal misuse of their oath of office

I'd hit it.

Cruz/Paul

10
christianknight 10 points ago +10 / -0

Paul first. Cruz has deep state ties, he is good for optics though.

7
Femprep 7 points ago +7 / -0

Paul keeps voting against the wall.

2
DasterMarsh 2 points ago +2 / -0

Paul is against government spending, that’s why he votes against it, not because he disagrees with the principle. Paul is the guy I want to take over to follow in Trumps footsteps to get the money problems of the US unfucked.

1
christianknight 1 point ago +1 / -0

Its his principals, the wall will be done and it won't matter anymore.

3
AbsurdOpinion 3 points ago +3 / -0

There's a difference between the guy who knows how to work the system and being a guy who is part of the system. Cruz is the former, don't mistake that for an indication he's a swamper.

2
christianknight 2 points ago +2 / -0

I hope you are right, I like the man personally but I am always skeptical of politicians. Look at Rubio for example.

2
COCOMOJOE 2 points ago +2 / -0

What about Konay?

20
christianknight 20 points ago +20 / -0

Because the legislation will never pass. Its political theater for the normies to eat up. It means nothing.

14
IncredibleMrE1 14 points ago +15 / -1

Came here to say this. It won't ever pass and he knows it.

It only takes a single Senator to allow a President to have recess appointments, and not a single one, not even Rand or Ted, has let GEOTUS have any.

I give Rand the benefit of the doubt because he is just anti-everything the government does.

No one else is on our side.

7
thunderpussy 7 points ago +7 / -0

Unfortunately, you are completely correct. It's as useless as tits on a lawnmower, although that might actually be more useful. :)

Almost like the left's virtue signalling, the GOPe edition.

6
Jackhererer 6 points ago +6 / -0

Gaetz and Hawley have cmproposed some legislation in recent months. Hawley was about big tech, and tbh cant remember what Gaetz proposed.

41
Vanguard771 41 points ago +41 / -0

Cool. Now do it when Republicans hold the house, senate, and presidency. And tack on that term limits bill from last year.

42
BiglyTrumper 42 points ago +42 / -0

I get so angry when I think of the time wasted fhe first two years of Trump's presidency.

40
JwPATX 40 points ago +41 / -1

Paul Ryan is a piece of shit.

8
BiglyTrumper 8 points ago +8 / -0

hella

13
Vanguard771 13 points ago +13 / -0

I will be more on fire for "lion ted" if he introduces both pieces of legislation in a republican controlled government. Otherwise it is just the same grandstanding the democrats have been doing while Republicans hold the senate.

4
christianknight 4 points ago +5 / -1

"wasted" lol. They knew what they were doing.

2
Tookens 2 points ago +3 / -1

It wouldn't have really mattered that much with Dims in the Senate filibustering everything.

22
Kaarous 22 points ago +22 / -0

Man he really set them off lol, check out the comments. One of those libtards actually says that Minneapolis didn't burn and that's it just fine.

Yeah, because they were requesting federal disaster aid for no reason apparently? These people lie with every word out of their fish mouths.

The Leftist worship Death, Destruction and Despair

You can just say Satan, it's faster.

7
tufftoffee 7 points ago +7 / -0

They may not believe in Satan but Satan sure believes in them.

9
Mona1950 9 points ago +9 / -0

Way to go Ted. At least you are being somewhat helpful. Gotta do something.

9
JwPATX 9 points ago +9 / -0

It’s so ridiculous that this is even a necessary bill.

4
YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yep. It is

6
DeusVultIntensifies 6 points ago +6 / -0

I love Lion Ted so much. He really has improved in the last 4 years.

2
YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yep. He needs to stay this way !!!

6
BunnyPicnic 6 points ago +6 / -0

How effing sad is it that we have to introduce legislation to prevent this? Embarrassing.

2
YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yep

5
BiglyTrumper 5 points ago +5 / -0

hell yes. There is a tacit agreement when you enter a contract to rent or purchase a property in a specific area and agree to all the according fees and taxes. People pay more for security and low crime i.e. excellent policing.

4
JoeBob 4 points ago +4 / -0

Everyone up and down the chain if appropriate: Governor, Mayor, City Council, Distract Attorneys. All of them need to be held accountable if they willfully acted or negligently failed to act.

“Incompetence” in this case isn’t criminal. Deal with incompetence at the civil level but the gates need to be opened (i.e. immunity and indemnity removed) for any and all legal action against these people.

To clarify .... I’m talking about legal actions against the individual people — not the city or the state.

3
VoltronGreen1981 3 points ago +3 / -0

He seems to introduce a lot of legislation. How much of it has actually been passed?

3
Seattlesaltminer 3 points ago +3 / -0

Seattle needs this so badly, worse property crime anywhere and police don't even respond anymore, with defunding it will be worse

3
LittleBlackKat 3 points ago +3 / -0

Sedition and rebellion are already illegal.

3
AlvinOfTheTrumpmunks 3 points ago +3 / -0

Don't stop there, federal criminal penalty on the elected politicians for malfeasance in office.

3
SAW2TH 3 points ago +3 / -0

Great.

Now write a federal law that gives special protections against motorists that are surrounded by rioters on roadways in their cars that are forced to run over attackers to escape.

“Self defense” isn’t specific enough.

3
Qwikphaze 3 points ago +3 / -0

Another bill that won’t see the light of day because we have corrupt politicians in congress.

3
308win 3 points ago +3 / -0

This should already be a thing. Afterall, people pay fucking taxes to the city for things like....police and their property to be protected during such events. If the city does not want to, then the people should have been given their tax payments back because the city DID NOT utilize the funds properly. The mayor has the obligation to his tax paying citizens to protect their assesst from riots by using the police which is paid for by the tax payer. To withhold that from the tax paying citizen....should be criminal.

3
Workhorse101 3 points ago +3 / -0

Serious question.

Has Ted Cruz got through any legislation since Trump has been president.

I ask because I keep reading about Ted Cruz and proposing legislation but I dont think I've heard of any successes.

buckiemohawk 2 points ago +2 / -0

The government should not pay one dime to the city of Minneapolis. They allowed them to terrorize their streets and burn things down. Now your neighborhood, that was "never yours" is a real shit hole. Even worse then before.

2
PedeofMD 2 points ago +2 / -0

And then if the dems try to block him on this the blowback will be severe. Lion Ted do iiiit.

2
Joshua2415 2 points ago +2 / -0

I like how they just spray painted "FUCK" on the sign. Eloquent.

2
King 2 points ago +2 / -0

finally!

2
YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

👍👍👍

2
0kBoomer 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hope the fkuc so! Take away the mayor's city council's etc qualifyed immunity!!

2
Arwyn3x 2 points ago +2 / -0

What about personal injury and wrongful death?

2
B4size25paper 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is a bill though right? Has to go through the house first right? So that means it will never be enacted as a law as long as the demonrats are in control...useless? Virtue signalling?

2
Txiribiton 2 points ago +2 / -0

If officials deny or withhold police protection they should go to jail.

1
rand 1 point ago +1 / -0

why pay taxes when the govt does this.

1
ElGuapoTacito 1 point ago +1 / -0

Black lies murderers destroyed our family business the first night of riots in Cleveland. Fuck em all. Local government should have known how to actually protect their cities

1
redditadminssuckit 1 point ago +6 / -5

Ted Cruz has earned my respect over the last year and a half. The guy is a unit

-4
Whitemaledrinksbeer1 -4 points ago +4 / -8

This POS only does his job 6 months before an election. Fuck this fuck. And fuck all the pretenders.

8
somethingnew 8 points ago +8 / -0

Ted isn't up for re election. He just got voted in in 2018.

2
PedeofMD 2 points ago +2 / -0

Dont they get elected every 2 years?

8
somethingnew 8 points ago +8 / -0

Senators have 6 year terms. House members have 2 year terms.
