Did twitter not look at Sidney Powell's body of work? She almost single handed-ly beat the lawfare arm of the deep state swamp. How much effort is it going to be for her to take twitter down for this? Not as much as it was to free Flynn, not for her at least.

Twitter routinely fact-checks Trump but never fact-checks Biden. Twitter goes after Trump and his hardcore supporters like and is Owens claiming that a black woman is pushing racism but if you actually look the grand wizard of the KKK David Duke is allowed to post freely and has never had his account restricted

many legitimate neo-nazis on Twitter are allowed to push hatred and racism with impunity

what this tells me is that Twitter isn't really trying to stop racism. they're trying to stop Trump. going after neo-nazis doesn't hurt Trump's election chances. going after his supporters does..

Twitter is manipulating the election.

the CEO of reddit.com he said that he believed that reddit.com hadd the power to sway elections

Twitter is much bigger than Reddit

it's high past time to regulate these companies and prevent them fro

Republicans need to control the narrative. In order to do that you need to control the news and you need to control social media. actually be able to do that. All I have to do is stop hiding under their deskss

It’s not about racism or hate, it’s about winning “by any means necessary.” And the fact that they cheat with such huge balls is an indication that ya, it’s necessary in order to win. If people actually knew that the left was as bad as they are (nursing homes forced to accept COVID, setting up Flynn, fake dossier, no Republican witnesses during impeachment hearings, closed impeachment hearings, Kavenaugh rape allegations and how did CBF get home that night? and so much more) they’d vote for Trump. He’s gotten the results. They haven’t. Everything else is a distraction.

Twitter exists in a supermajority dem state. Any change needs to come from the supreme court and the dims already smell what is around the corner. They need to fight the hardest right now and destroy the system before it destroys them. They crossed the Rubicon a long time ago just like Trump crossed it to stand up to the swamp trade deals, SJW facism/social puritanism and the tech facism and so on. I'm think the future will be determined on the battlegrounds and people's minds and the 2020 ballot boxes, not in the courts of law.

Why are you shilling so hard? Why is its app approved but infowars and gab are banned?

Who is funding it? Who has vetted it? Why did it come outta nowhere?

What will that ban you for?

Will they ban you for saying:

faggot

tranny

retard

No one answers these questions... it's just SHILL SHILL SHILL!

7
SoyvietUnion 7 points ago

Parler and Apple went through the censorship/ App Store ban drama exactly a year ago. This led to their current sanction and ban policy, so that Apple would fuck off. I’m confident apple and google will up the ante and ban them again before long.

I’m calling Facebook out for being a dangerous identity phishing glow knicker site.

Which you’ve mistaken for shilling for Parler.

You have terrible manners. I ain’t going to be sitting around crying and moaning for lack of your company if you don’t join Parler.

As if I am on Facebook. You are purposely diverting attention to something that wasn't even under discussion. Shill tactic?

Were you promoting Gab when it was first coming on the scene?

I am asking why is Parler considered vetted and you are telling me I have terrible manners for asking?

Lol okay buddy. I've been burned by these platforms one too many times. My skepticism is well earned and deserved at this point.

WHY IS PARLER A SAFE PLATFORM FOR US PEDES TO CONTRIBUTE TO?

6
rooftoptendie 6 points ago

Why is it every time someone says parler it starts a mini downvote brigade around here and the same half dozen users come out of hibernation to shit on it. It looks like shilling.

The fact that you would - unprovoked - just throw in an accusation about the above user shilling, is what shills do. Your post history doesn't inspire much confidence, and neither does any of the user accounts bashing parler today on this site.

Why don't you just stick with the fact that you don't like parler and thats your opinion, instead of accusing those with a different opinion on it of shilling.

3
spicyfries 3 points ago

Seriously bro, what you are doing is a shill tactic.

I WANT TO BELIEVE that Parler is a free speech platform...

But there are red flags. Is it just smoke or is it a fire?

2

He needs to promote removing the phone number requirement.

9
AbsurdOpinion 9 points ago

My take on Parler is they are anti censorship but very pro privacy invasion. They do not allow post viewing except when logged in and they require a phone number to get an account.

They want to know exactly who is saying what and who is listening to them. It's an intelligence gathering operation IMO.

2
SoyvietUnion 2 points ago

https://twunroll.com/article/1276259359065079813

0
williammcfadden 0 points ago

So you're basing that on nothing.

It's to keep the bots and the shills away is my take. To prevent doxxing, threats against its users, targeting, and to greatly protect privacy behind a walled garden compared to the other social media sites.

5
AbsurdOpinion 5 points ago

There is no good reason to deny anonymous "read only" access to a site unless your interest is in tracking who is doing the reading. I can view twitter posts without a twitter account. I can view reddit posts without a reddit account. But on Parler, just to view a post I have to cough up my phone number. Thats not "nothing".

I don't see how the "bots and shills" argument applies since they can't affect the site without having an account.

-2
williammcfadden -2 points ago

That's an Absurd Opinion. Then don't use it. "the lady doth protest too much"

1
AbsurdOpinion 1 point ago

I consider it a well reasoned opinion. What possible reason could they have for hiding a view of the content from anonymous eyes? In a way, requiring a login is just another form of censorship. All their content is hidden from the public eye. Once again we are required to dispense with our liberty in the pursuit of improbable security.

2
Food4thought 2 points ago

I just started reading 1984 last night. I only made it through the first chapter, but in that one chapter, we aren't that far away from living as Winston. The two minute hate is like the msm showing Trump and the people lose their sanity. Like Winston said, you have to, otherwise you'll disappear. It's uncanny how accurate it is to today's landscape. I never thought I'd see this kind of stuff happening in 21sr century America.

Anyone who is reading this comment that has NOT read 1984 needs to read it. I try to read it every couple of years as a refresher. If you can't read the book, audiobook or at least get the movie.

Remember to read it in context, Mr. Orwell wrote this in 1948 about his predictions of 1984 based on the current social climate post WW2 and the recent rise and fall of Nazi-ism in Germany.

It is scary how accurate the book is, but it will open your eyes to the games the deep state and uniparty play with us. As a warning, once you see the world through the 1984 lens, you cannot unsee it.

Someone made a comment that people shouldn't run to "conservative safe spaces" like Parler and Gab. This is exactly the wrong message.

These places are only primarily conservative because primarily conservatives have been banned by Twitter. Parler and Gab are not inherently conservative and if Twitter/Facebook truly fall, Parler and Gab will be free speech havens for those of all viewpoints, not just conservative ones.

Everyone, liberal and conservative, should flee to Parler/Gab because they are about free expression.

Parler was designed with a 1999 mindset. Phone verification requires a high-trust society, but the entire reason Parler was supposedly built was because we have fully devolved into a low-trust society.

The deal is running there undermines the argument that Twitter, FB, and youtube are the digital town squares and if you silence someone on those platforms you de-person them. Those are the platforms with the most viewers, the most exchange of ideas happening, and if someone is banned from them, they are effectively silenced.

4
jessepinkman9 4 points ago

Yeah, but the government clearly isn't going to help us so I'm not sure this tactic is going to work out in the long run. Viable, free speech-positive alternatives may be a better way, especially if we can convince enough people to switch.

0
roscoeSteele 0 points ago

Town Square shit is a losing strat.

I don't give a shit about Twitter.

Twitter isn't the town square.

The town Square is the town square.

What I do give a shit about is these publishers being protected as platforms.

Twitter needs to be held accountable for all the terrorist organization they've been at best complicit in both at home and abroad (ISIS recruitment, antifa organization etc).

2
randomusename 2 points ago

Don't worry, Bill Barr sent a strongly worded letter to these platforms.

Not sure why the platforms are ignoring it, but til then they might have to be sued using town square as a basis.

https://www.justice.gov/ag/department-justice-s-review-section-230-communications-decency-act-1996?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery

The Department identified four areas ripe for reform: 4. Promoting Open Discourse and Greater Transparency A fourth category of potential reforms is intended to clarify the text and original purpose of the statute in order to promote free and open discourse online and encourage greater transparency between platforms and users.

a. Replace Vague Terminology in (c)(2). First, the Department supports replacing the vague catch-all “otherwise objectionable” language in Section 230(c)(2) with “unlawful” and “promotes terrorism.” This reform would focus the broad blanket immunity for content moderation decisions on the core objective of Section 230—to reduce online content harmful to children—while limiting a platform's ability to remove content arbitrarily or in ways inconsistent with its terms or service simply by deeming it “objectionable.”

4
CannonballJunior 4 points ago

Marsh vs Alabama, 1946.

The Court ruled that the company town had become the equivalent of the public streets and parks where free speech is protected. Justice Hugo Black wrote, “Ownership does not always mean absolute dominion. The more an owner, for his advantage, opens up his property for use by the public in general, the more do his rights become circumscribed by the statutory and constitutional rights of those who use it….To act as good citizens, they <the citizens> must be informed. In order to enable them to be properly informed, their information must be uncensored…When we balance the Constitutional rights of owners of property against those of people to enjoy freedom of press and religion, as we must here, we remain mindful of the fact that the latter occupy a preferred position.”

1
Deplora 1 point ago

There's a huge difference between physical space and an internet platform. The former cannot be functionally replicated (the people who live and work in a "company town" can't speak to their passing-by fellow townspeople in some other location). A social media platform certainly can be replicated, with different policies.

1
CannonballJunior 1 point ago

Sorry but you're just wrong. The same principles apply. You can build a public gathering place right on the edge of a privately owned town.

Conservatives have to stop using it. I know the old argument of saying, "So we just let them win and say whatever they want and have the platform all to themselves?" Well, if all the normal people stop using it, that cuts their user base in half. Either way every Conservative is going to leave one way or another, so why not choose to do it voluntarily? It's not like it's the only social media out there.

Doesn’t freedom of the press apply to individuals?

How is twitter banning on the public electronic circuits any different that preventing a newspaper truck from going down the road or preventing the postman from delivering certain newspapers?

-1
Deplora -1 points ago

"Freedom of the press" is a concept rooted in the First Amendment. It applies to government action. Twitter is not the government, it's a company.

I got a VPN specifically so I could use Twitter and I've already been locked out after about a month. I haven't said anything extreme but now when I get asked to verify my account to login (happens every once in awhile but it usually unlocks fine and lets me in), the confirmation code text just never arrives and they don't answer my support emails. Vile company.

2
Grond999 2 points ago (edited)

1+1=2. Expected behaviour. Twitter being a BOSS as usual. I can't blame them. The do-nothings RINO Party never acted on Twitter so who gives a fhck. I applaud Twitter for 1+1=2 (solid math).

Hahaha. That's crazy how the algorithm be like that. Haha, oops! We only teach it what kind of stuff to censor. We don't tell it specifically what to censor. My bad! We're not gonna change it, but if you bend the knee, we might move you up the queue in unrestricting you. Sorry, lmao, just so many people getting banned! It's crazy.

Haha totally not fascists at Twatter and Fascistbook, folks, we swear! Don't post like it's part of some conspiracy, though, or we'll have to ba- I mean the algorithm will have to ban you. Because some ideas are less equal than others lmao ok cool haha? Computers can't be nazis lmfao. We're just like you! So hip and cool. We even talk like you guys haha lmao. We'd never do something so abject andevil haha. Just bend the knee and you won't have to worry about being a social pariah, unable to maintain a single job, threatened, and bullied out of work ever! Join our wonderful Utopia! We're making a brand new world haha lmfao.

If she decided to go after twitter. It won't cost her a penny. All she would have to do is set up a defense fund like she did for Flynn and I guarantee it would be funded.

Not smart. Powell is like a bulldog. Once she latches on, she ain't letting go. Thought her specialty seems to be taking on .gov, not private corps. Such a strong asset to our side. God bless this woman!

Time to restrict Twitter on WIN by blocking links. We are coming up and can play ball as well. Parlor should do the same.

1
ed_shaw 1 point ago

One of General Flynn's and Sidney Powell's coincidental concerns has been illegal deep state activity. I don't know the particulars, but for sure we have all been concerned about allegations of heroin, cocaine, gun trafficking. Can this be taken as an admission that Twitter is owned or controlled by rogue national intelligence?I've seen Jack Dempsey on TV and he looks like he doesn't have sense enough to come inside out of the rain.

1
Room641A 1 point ago

I think you mean Jack Dorsey.

1
madly_aloof 1 point ago

Maybe I'm wrong here, but Mark Zuckerberg said: "“I don’t think that Facebook or internet platforms in general should be arbiters of truth. Political speech is one of the most sensitive parts in a democracy, and people should be able to see what politicians say.” It's the general public that is under siege and this is an effort independent from Zuckerberg's wishes. There is interference though and my posts may not age well because of that.

We're living in a moment where everyone's mic is getting cut. Cancelling Facebook lends to the Democrats plan when in fact, we can and should take over. We have an opportunity to capitalise upon. Who represents business-owners? Lefties? I don't think so. We need to boycott all big left-wing swamp business and show Facebook we the right-wingers are where their paychecks come from.

This to me appears like an effort for state run control; the little fish feeds the bigger fish. Mark Zuckerberg is the only mainstream social media entrepreneur who seems somewhat above that. If conservatives quit social media en masse, the world will change for the worse. There would be nobody to challenge the opposing viewpoints and help win people over to the right side. This furthers the divide and arranges the framework for tyrannical legislation, like the suppression of free speech to guarantee itself the moment the left regains office.

There's a reason MSM hates his guts.

How did anyone let it become so influential?

1
rooftoptendie 1 point ago

it may be your preferred, but have you noticed how many of the big gunz are on Parler now, and these are the same people who never took up Gab... like Grenell, Flynn, Powell, Bongino etc.

The platform is only as fun and informative as the people who use it. I started up a Gab when it first came out, and it just didn't catch on. Parler is gaining steam fast.

Besides there is nothing wrong with using both. I wouldn't cut myself off from people like Flynn and Powell just because I was trying to get everyone onto the platform I like the best. We only have so many months before the 'lections, and twatter/fuckbook/etc are going to crack down so hard we won't be able to communicate effectively with eachother before too long. Which is what they want, of course. We don't have time to play cultural influencer games because we're bickering over which platform is best.

Parler has a momentum right now that Gab just doesn't have. Might as well take advantage of it since our time is short. Go with what you got, y'know...?

1
Deplora 1 point ago

but have you noticed how many of the big gunz are on Parler now

No, actually I haven't, because it is a CLOSED PLATFORM. I have no interest whatsoever in what's going on behind Parler's closed curtain.

1
rooftoptendie 1 point ago

well it is noticeable. I haven't signed up yet and I know who is on it. So your reasoning for not knowing who has jumped ship to there yet doesn't make much sense, but ok.

1
Deplora 1 point ago

You know about a handful of people who have publicly announced that they made Parler accounts, but you can't search to see who else is on there, or even see how much the publicly announced users are actually posting there. Other than people who have been flat-out banned from Twitter, I don't think anyone who matters has actually "jumped ship". They just made Parler accounts in addition to their Twitter accounts, like Dan Bongino, who continues to post on Twitter all day, every day, while simultaneously promoting Parler: https://twitter.com/dbongino
