If you are registered, CHECK YOUR STATUS. Make sure you're registered at the correct address and are not still registered at a previous address.

If you are not registered, REGISTER NOW.

DO NOT WAIT. You need time to confirm it has gone through, in case it doesn't and you have to start fresh.

DO NOT register with a nice-looking non-profit group even if they seem based. I learned that the hard way in 2000. I think they just threw my registration away when they saw I had registered Republican.

That's a very very short period of time to do what we need to do, God forbid the Dems steal this through fraud , I can't imagine. Vote, and bring anyone that is able to breath with you to vote Trump.

2
InSaNeOldGuy 2 points ago +2 / -0 (edited)

OAN had a video about that.. Voter fraud but not at the ballot level; this was computer fraud at the state level tabulating the votes. They believed that Hillary ran that software and figured she'd beat Trump so badly they didn't tweak it high enough. And Trump won.

Libertas_Vel_Mors 8 points ago +8 / -0

This, right here. In spite of Oregon law requiring one to always have a current mailing address with the DMV, plus their motor-voter laws, they occasionally have a habit of mis-mailing ballots to you (yay vote-by-mail! Pray for us :( ) if you registered as a Republican...

15
Ghostphaez 15 points ago +15 / -0

Woohoo, still active in CA - was worried they might have purged me because I registered as a Republican.

8
Analmanlebron 8 points ago +8 / -0

dude i think they purged me. I voted in the primaries but now the site couldn't find my voter registration. fuckery is afoot.

8
Ghostphaez 8 points ago +8 / -0

Try re-registering soon.

7
Analmanlebron 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yup, I just did it. This is crap, especially since we are also filling out the recall for Gavin Newsom and you have to be registered exactly as on their database or they'll throw out your signatures.

I just checked mine and my husband's registrations in a blue state because I was afraid of your situation. I'm gonna keep checking until we receive our ballots just to avoid this. Good luck!

How does one sign up to be a polling officer. Especially counting mail in ballots

7
TheMutualist [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

This site provides information about how to sign up. Qualifications are outlined in one of the links on this page since it depends on your state, but generally you have to be eligible to vote, mentally competent, and not related to an elected official in your state. Registrations are cut off typically between 45-60 days before the election. Many states compensate ~$50-$100 per day of service.

Forcing people to wear masks to vote seems like a huge civil rights violation

It is. Effectively it says “fuck people with asthma or other respiratory issues. They don’t deserve rights”

5
GuerillaYourDreams 5 points ago +5 / -0

And someone has moved a lot in the last 10 years I might add to be sure you’re not registered to vote any more in a previous state — because that’s what the Democrats do to commit voter fraud. Someone may vote in your name...

I voted in the 2020 primaries, and now they can't locate my registration on the site. WTF. I just re-registered.

4

3
Analmanlebron 3 points ago +3 / -0

Will do. Is this fucking common?!

2
iVote 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes. We’re targets everywhere and with the SJWs holding positions at every level they will no doubt purge Republicans from the rolls. November 2020 everyone is playing for keeps.

4
GuerillaYourDreams 4 points ago +4 / -0

Good!! I just used the links to find out I’m no longer registered in the three states that I used to live in —which I actually find strange because I didn’t give them a change of address at the voters registration...

3
Littleirishmaid 3 points ago +3 / -0

Some states notify the old state listed on your new registration.

4
TheRealTurdFurgeson 4 points ago +4 / -0

Thank you for this. I was already registered to vote, but did not see my name in the voter roll. I moved last year and they never updated my address, EVEN THOUGH I SUBMITTED A NEW VOTER REG 2x TIMES ALREADY.

Los Angeles is incompetent. Negligent almost.

3
safegarden 3 points ago +3 / -0

I know you guys don't like mail in ballots, but as an expat who is very much still involved with my home state, I am registered to vote by mail.

2
incogneato 2 points ago +2 / -0

Is there a difference between "absentee ballot" and "vote by mail?"

3
safegarden 3 points ago +3 / -0

I guess you could argue either side of the coin. If you want to get technical, then I am voting on an absentee ballot and vote by mail would be people living at home who are too lazy to walk down the street/elderly who have trouble leaving home. I am not sure if out-of-state voters vote by mail or not.

3
Block_Helen 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes. Typically when people say "absentee ballot," they mean people who live out of state but vote in their home state. But the residents of that state vote in person.

Typically when people say "vote by mail," they mean the entire state votes by mail and no one votes in person.

2
iVote 2 points ago +2 / -0

We vote by mail only to receive our ballots ahead of time. We always hand deliver to our precinct and drop it into the sealed box. We never mail them back.

3
CantThinkOfUserName 3 points ago +3 / -0

If you have moved within the same state make sure your state's election board has your updated information. Do this even if you received an updated Voter ID card. I dealt with a screw up on election day in 2018 even though I received a new Voter ID card.

3
MyBonnieLass 3 points ago +3 / -0

Please check and make sure you are listed as active. I checked my registration and my town had marked me as inactive even though I voted in the 2018 mid terms. I fixed it.

3
Oven_Boy86 3 points ago +3 / -0

I've been registered, I voted for Trump in 2016 but my parents passed on it. I sent them two MAGA hats, and they have been fans of the president ever since they started their Russia collusion bullshit. They registered last week. Add two more to the TRUMP WAR TRAIN. We are going to crush these Democrat communists and the fake ass NEO-CON war mongers.

3

3
CarMenYellingCrews 3 points ago +3 / -0

As a former democrat, do I need to switch parties officially somehow?

3
TheMutualist [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

It only impacts the primaries in most states, although in some states you can primary wherever you want regardless of party affiliation. Outside of that party affiliation also impacts how the GOP and DNC decide where to allocate resources. You'll be fine for the general.

1
iVote 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes - you get different ballots in primaries and you need to register with the new party. Follow the link for your state and reregister with the new party. Follow up in a couple weeks to make sure it’s changed.

3
LArnix 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thanks vote and remind your friends and family to vote !

3
Block_Helen 3 points ago +3 / -0

But only your Trump-supporting friends and family, please!

1
iVote 1 point ago +1 / -0

Make sure they are registered and verify that they are - send them the appropriate link listed here and tell them many of us found we were purged and had to reregister.

3
incogneato 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thank you for all this information.

What can the average citizen do to make sure this election is not stolen at the ballot box?

2
TheMutualist [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0 (edited)

I made a thread 2 days ago that our biggest responsibility is to get at least 2-3 new Trump voters who didn't choose him in 2016. I've gone to 4-5 BLM parades as a friendly but stern MAGA supporter. The left almost universally will make a fool of themselves in front of normies and you can have engaging conversations with independents and liberals who are willing to listen. I bring signs that point out rather candidly that Trump supporters oppose censorship, police brutality, overreaction from protesters, etc. I unintentionally "tricked" so many BLM supporters into flipping off signs that promote reforming black communities in a positive direction because they saw my hat first.

Beyond that I would suggest visiting local polling precincts in more Democratic areas for a few hours and observing what's going on. Listen. Talk to people. See if anyone is getting paid. See if there's vans full of people being dropped off. See if the DNC is campaigning too close to the voting stations. I'm going to do that in Dallas.

  1. Register to vote.
  2. Make sure your information is correct
  3. Find as many other pro-trump people and make sure they vote.
  4. Discourage non-trump voters from voting :)
3
iVote 3 points ago +3 / -0

When talking with a non-Trump voter simply add to their demoralization by saying things like, “I wish I could vote for Biden or any democrat, but I don’t think they can win, so I’m not even going to bother voting this time.”

2
james43552352345 2 points ago +2 / -0

hahahaha, yes, exactly! I just tell them that voting is a waste of time and doesn't change anything.

2
AngelMark 2 points ago +2 / -0

Monmouth county NJ board of elections sent out ballot w letter stating there are limited number of polling places to fill out provisional paper ballot. I called to find out where my polling place is and was told that only mail in voting for primary n only DISABLED people can go to the limited polling places and she wouldn't tell me WHERE at first because I'm not disabled. Finally got transferred to someone who told me my voting place was our local first aid. My friend called to see where she can go in person in her town and the same thing happened to her so we reported to election board that their operators were giving out misinformation!

Just ONE MORE VOTE!!

Your vote is great.

But if you want to cinch a victory, register and get to the voting booth, at least one other person who loves America!

That's all it takes. Just one more. You don't have to volunteer, you don't have to knock on doors, you don't have to campaign, you don't have to donate. Nothing.

Just contribute ONE MORE VOTE beyond your own.

Florida has a primary election in early August. Any one in Florida looking to be a poll worker for the election in November would be better off applying for a position now.

Once you have a position and prove you can do it competently, you'll generally keep it.

List any designations or professional credentials you have, if you hold any designations, licenses, or certifications that require/required a national background check make sure to list those.

If you have any management experience, and want to be a Clerk or Assistant Clerk for a precinct, listing it will go a long way in getting the gig, pays more too.

But nobody does it for the money. The pay tops out at $365 for the day for a the precinct Clerk, but that is 6am-7:30pm and you can't leave the polling station while the election is going on. You can't even leave once the election is over.

Nobody leaves the polling station until the ballot manager checks in, with every ballot accounted for, at the head office and they get cleared to go home.

Not trying to discourage, just letting you know what you are getting in to if you plan to do this, in Florida at least.
