POTUS needs to get on this shit. These visas were a big voting issue for me in 2016. Not that I was even pondering HRC of course, but this was up there with illegal immigration for me. These visas are not being applied in the spirit of how they’re advertised. They never have been and they never will be. They need to go away.

Stay calm. The sternly-worded letter is incoming.

8
Snake 8 points ago +8 / -0

Prioritizing the Chyyynese and Koreans, huh? Sounds like a lot of our University professors.

This is my personal opinion, but I beg you all to please resist the urge to think Trump is doing nothing. That is literally what the left wants you to believe. They want you to stay home and not cast a vote. Imagine a worldwide RICO investigation that goes as high as Prince Andrew, Bill Gates, and the Clinton family and beyond. If it goes as high as that then undoubtedly there will be many many more underlings you need to remove as well. All of this takes time to build ironclad cases, and we now see Prince Andrew is being called in to the United States. Pieces are falling into place. Have faith.

If you need some reassurance, here's a list of several relevant executive orders related to this Facebook document:

  • Imposing Certain Sanctions in the Event of Foreign Interference in a United States Election
  • Establishing the Committee for the Assessment of Foreign Participation in the United States Telecommunications Services Sector
  • Preventing Online Censorship
  • Maintaining American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence
  • America's Cybersecurity Workforce
  • Securing the Information and Communications Technology and Services Supply Chain
  • President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology

4D chess. Always ahead of the game. Exposing them and building public support is the only way forward. Without public support and ironclad cases then it will be spun as a dictatorial overthrow of the US govt. They will try to spin it that way regardless when it happens. That's why we need proof across the board and can then take them down legally and with the support of the American people--and people worldwide.

5
spicyfries 5 points ago +5 / -0

Thank you for this. A sound post. But when we are told to hang in there so late in the game and with a possibility that Trump won't get re-elected due to voter fraud... many Trump supporters can't help but feel that it is now or never.

Being told to be patient makes you feel like you are getting set up to be punk'd.

4
Snake 4 points ago +4 / -0

Don't be patient. Be excited. Trump has taken down more high profile people than any previous administration.

  • Allison Mack (Hollywood & sex cult pedo associate)
  • Clare Bronfman (billionaire & sex cult pedo associate)
  • Keith Rainere (sex cult pedo leader of NXIVM)
  • Harvey Weinstein (Obama's daughter worked for this guy)
  • Ed Buck (major Democrat donor and gay-black-men killer)
  • Jeffery Epstein (I'm 50% convinced he's in witness protection because Trump knew it was the only way to keep him alive)
  • Thousands more of lesser-known pedos/human traffickers

There's a reason Trump has been fought every single step of the way.

It's not just Facebook. Sprint here in Overland Park, KC employs a lot of H-1B Visas from India.
I know. I'm surrounded by them in my apartment complex.
They're good, law-abiding people but it's an American company that should be employing American citizens first. And surprise, surprise, they bring their entire families with them including parents and the first thing they do is knock their wives up so the child will be born on U.S. soil and thus instantly become a nice U.S. citizen anchor they can use to stay in the U.S. forever, completely bypassing the traditional immigration path.
The male parents of the H-1B holder often get work visas and go to work locally. The female parents stay and watch the kids while the husband and wife go to work.
I know. I've talked to a lot of them around me.

So in case you're ever wondering why Sprint's network is complete and utter shit, know that they'll always, always cheap out on everything and then brag about coming in second or third place.

10
TravelBan-BuildWall 10 points ago +10 / -0

Can't believe this shit has gone on for so long. You're right, they always have a baby right away.

6
Ibleedusa 6 points ago +6 / -0

Same exact thing here in Richmond, VA with Capital One. They’ll buy you out and replace you with someone they can pay 1/4 the salary

3
Dictator_Bob 3 points ago +3 / -0

A lot of them are really great people too it's a shame they're put in the middle of this. We do want to be able to attract productive talent and legal immigrants should be welcome here. For now I am 100% against H1B and would prefer if the program was drawn down to 3% of the current volume. Until every American student has a chance at that job, at a proper wage, it should be illegal to hire a foreign worker.

2
tl3c0 2 points ago +2 / -0

As a former 10 year employee there I can confirm and Amen this statement. So many coworkers got the bullet and the network started falling apart after the replacements.

2
NonyaDB 2 points ago +2 / -0

My company issued us Sprint iPhones and even in some of the buildings on the Sprint campus with cell-phone repeaters on each floor (because Spring was fucking stupid and used thick brick-work on all their buildings) they throttle your data - tested and proven via VPN back to my home Spectrum network - and calls either never come through or when calling out get dropped.
AND THAT'S ON THE GODDAMN SPRINT WORLD HQ CAMPUS!
It's fucking embarrassing!

1
DocOne 1 point ago +1 / -0

I feel like I'm the only person that's ever been satisfied with Sprint 😂😂 i've had them for 15 years and even their customer service has been good w me.

The money being poured into BLM by megacorps has more to do with finance than race. This is all about the money. The tech companies and the industrialists have a lot of money at stake if they have to hire American workers.

Black American engineers have no chance against an army of foreign H1B.

49
ShortCircuits 49 points ago +49 / -0 (edited)

We need to end the H1-B visas.

We need to take care of our home/homeless/jobless first before bringing anyone else in.

Edit: Removed 'loopholes' as the H1-B is the loophole.

25
OlDirtyBarrister 25 points ago +25 / -0

Loopholes? We need to close it down. Entirely. And send the ones we’ve got back home.

You know why Antifa is in the streets? Because they don’t have jobs. Know why they don’t have jobs? Because Mohindar and BobVagene took them.

9
FuckTheOtherSide 9 points ago +9 / -0

This. When I worked in retail here in the Bay Area years ago, I used to manage college graduates for close to minimum wage. Even worse, retail companies stopped hiring full time so they wouldn’t have to pay benefits. On top of that, we have to deal with companies dominated by foreign labor looking at you like “Why the fuck are you even attempting to apply here?” when dropping off resumes in person.

16
spicyfries 16 points ago +16 / -0

The H1-B visa IS the loophole.

6
OlDirtyBarrister 6 points ago +6 / -0

It ain’t just the H1B either. There’s a whole shitload of visas people have never fucking heard of.

Additionally, the education visas may be the biggest pipeline of cheap labor. Universities are getting rich while their graduates are getting poor and Mohindar and Yang Xi are all too happy to work for fucking peanuts because that’s way better than going back to their shanty town in their home country.

Once President Trump wins re-election, he needs to seriously consider "convening" the House & Senate to force changes in our immigration system.

  • No more H-1Bs
  • No more DACA
  • No more chain migration
  • No more diversity lottery
  • No more student visas to the Chinese
  • No more OPTs from Universities
  • No counting illegals in the Census

All immigration needs to be near-zero. VOTE VOTE VOTE!

10
ERansom 10 points ago +10 / -0

Hmmm almost like putting American citizens first. Seems like a good way to KAG.

4
safegarden 4 points ago +4 / -0

Spousal sponsorship/sponsorship of non-citizen biological children of American citizens (only if they are dependent minors). Open a visa program for skilled immigrants from countries of similar economic development and put tight limits.

2
OlDirtyBarrister 2 points ago +2 / -0

He doesn’t technically need them to do anything. He could effectively end the programs today.

18
WheeeeeThePeople 18 points ago +18 / -0

If Facebook is going to censor, it needs to be a "publisher" rather than a "platform".

1
Workhorse101 1 point ago +1 / -0

Which is a double edged sword. If their protection is taken away they will censor, ban and remove everything that goes against the narrative. They wont really need to pretend to be objective anymore.

18
Magadeth 18 points ago +18 / -0

No surprise. Faceberg needs to be broken up!

17
bovineblitz 17 points ago +17 / -0

Facebook is not only abusing the H1-B program they're prioritizing the hiring of Chinese nationals?

It's all just so blatantly wrong.

I hope they utilize this as documentation to support upcoming legislation. Time for trump to take out Facebook!

cyberspace_cowboy 15 points ago +15 / -0

Coming from someone in IT that has worked at multiple large US private corps. This is no doubt common place and the norm. I think if you took someone from any other job and dropped them into one of these roles, they'd be like "wtf is going on, where am I and how is this legal?"

The vast majority of Indians on H1B visas I've met and worked with are very kind, respectful and in most cases generally conservative people. It's just so bizarre living in a typical American suburb then you go into work and 50+% of your floor is full of Indians on visas.

The company imports them into the US to work locally, underpays them (which is still a TON for what they'd receive in India) putting American's out of work. It blows my mind how this is allowed at such a massive scale. Can't blame the H1B's because I'd probably be doing the same if I were in their shoes, like winning the jackpot.

Honestly most H1B's are qualified and can do the work at the same level (depends though), just for a large discount. If you're a corp and money is your bottom line, you'll definitely be pushing for H1B's because you'll save money without sacrificing product while being COMPLETELY legal.

While on a small team (at a large US corp) I've had upper management saying "We can get 5 Indian guys, doing the same work as the two (US persons) and still cut costs." We had to justify why we wanted to keep the US persons. Gotta change the policy.

6
TravelBan-BuildWall 6 points ago +6 / -0

What about their communication skills though? I find that they are really out of place

5
cyberspace_cowboy 5 points ago +5 / -0

Fro my experience they just have terrible English, the situation can be extreme frustrating. It's something you adapt to, especially if more than half the work force speaks broken English. You catch yourself talking, explaining things in broken, simplistic English so they understand. (which sounds like a skit from The Office lol)

I worked on the engineering side of things, so we never dealt with customers, just each other (and maybe to collab w/ other teams). Makes explaining complex functions challenging

deleted 3 points ago +3 / -0
3
pede-o-saurus 3 points ago +3 / -0

The really sad part is that a lot of times they're actually paid quite well and companies could arguably get US workers for less. The motivation isn't always saving money. Some companies really just seem to want compliant workers, or prefer to not hire Americans.

1
cyberspace_cowboy 1 point ago +1 / -0

IIRC H1B salary info can be accessed publicly. Or I may be getting confused from when I was on that job, the salaries being public internally. Anyways, the few I looked over seemed to be higher than I expected. Not sure if it covered other contracting/visa costs but they were competitive.

Thing is, most I've met are qualified or overqualified. This doesn't mean they should be replacing US jobs from a US company by importing workers (I'm saying this in general, not to you). I get why it's specific to IT, but I always mention to my buddies in other careers to image the situation from their standpoint....

There is probably a welder in India that is equal or better than you, why not H1B him/her fly them over here and fire you to take your position? Since it's apparently ok to hire anyone on the planet for to work in the US for US companies, why not H1B truck drivers? H1B all the financing for a company? All the nurses in US hospitals, just replace them with H1B workers, they have the same skill-set why not?

2
AslanFan 2 points ago +2 / -0 (edited)

So kids are paying a ridiculous amounts of money to saudi arabria to get a degree in something that only chinese and koreans are allowed to work in. And leftists say "more foreign workers please". And they say "orange man bad cuz I have too much debt and a useless degree." Leftists are being played.

Universities are accomplices in this scam. They take tuition dollars and pump out crappy “masters” degrees. It is basically a pay for visa scam with the dollars going to university pockets. Some of these degree programs are so worthless you don’t see any non-citizens in them at all. Universities are explicitly marketing these to other countries.

Some universities are even opening up remote campuses to increase the cash grab. Applicants know a masters degree with an American university name may get them a visa even if they did it abroad.

Wanna know why inner-city minorities are protesting and rioting? It’s not just a law enforcement issue.

Black men need jobs to support their families. Getting these men employed would go a long way to fixing the problems in the black community.

Importing labor only makes it harder for these men to find employment. End the visas and get these men into jobs and off of the dole.

Eliminating guest worker programs will fix many problems in this country.
