“Tennessee leading 15 to 2, the crowd roaring against Georgia trying to make them drop it so they can’t hear. We hand it off to Herschel, there’s a hole, 5, 10, 12, he’s running over people! Oh, you Herschel Walker! My God almighty, he ran right through two men, Herschel ran right over two men, they had him dead away inside the 9. Herschel Walker went 16 yards, he drove right over those orange shirts, just driving and running with those big thighs. My God, a freshman!”

I always liked Herschel even when he was running over us (went to GT).

He gained 600+ yards on us in 3 games and I overlapped 2.

SunriseBuster 7 points ago +7 / -0

Also went to GT, and Herschel may win me over as a Dawgs fan...when we're not playing them. It pains me to say that, but he has been spitting truth for a while now.

My father and Grandfather were lifelong Jacket fans. Growing up they told me of many players, but the athlete that made them change the tone of their voices to describe to me was Herschel Walker.

I never heard either of them speak with more reverence and wonder about a player before or since, he made their lives miserable, and they still loved him.

We said "Herschel Who?" in the 1983 Sugar Bowl. Lol

Glad he's based though.

Do any first generation immigrants from socialist countries support socialism? One would think VP Biden would have them introduce him before every speech.

They'd be on CNN everyday espousing the wonderful virtues of socialism and how, if it weren't for ______*, they'd move back to Venezuela in a heartbeat!

*Job, sick family member, etc.

Not_Even_a_Dentist 11 points ago +11 / -0

I had a Venezuelan guy tell me his whole family supports Bernie, so there are exceptions. Can't fix stupid, I guess.

MakeAmericaLegendary 7 points ago +7 / -0 (edited)

They like socialism 1.0, because they're the primary subjects of its benefits. They don't think long-term enough when the well dries up and their kids (or they) are stuck in abject poverty and lawlessness. Capitalism is the only system that converts man's innate selfishness into a feedback loop of mutual benefit.

Shit's so pure and good. It's essentially organic.

Holee crap that was awesome. The only thing it was missing was "three snaps in a z formation." And yes, I did them while watching.

Yep. Can we address the super gay elephant in the room?

Im a viking fan (or was, think I'm done watching the nfl) so i have mixed feelings about walker when it comes to that trade, but he'd have my vote if he ran for a government job today

physsijim 5 points ago +5 / -0

It's not really his fault that the GM of the Vikings was an idiot.

One doesn't even need to leave the country to get a taste of it, even with an active police force. I challenge anyone to take a walk through black areas at night with a few 10 dollar bills hanging out of your pockets. The police may show up eventually, but not after you have your shit took at best, shit took and guts stomped in at worst.

1
FreedomCrayon 1 point ago +1 / -0

I would GLADLY donate money to make this happen.
