Quick story:

Duck hunt in Arkansas. Drive through Mississippi. State Trooper pulls us over, asks if we have any guns in the truck. “Yes sir, a lot of them.”

Trooper responds, “Any pistols?”.

Reply, “yes sir, a .357 in the center console.”

Trooper responds, “Is it loaded?”

I say, “yes sir, it’s loaded.”

To which he replies, “Good, keep it that way. Y’all drive safe. Have a great day.”

Mind blown. Jaw dropped. “Wtf was that??”

I live in Arkansas and I travel the south. I believe this story to be truthful and representative of officers here.

40
OldHickorysFlintlock 40 points ago +40 / -0

True story. Wish I could say the same about game wardens, sadly, not one good story I have about them.

42
NvJohansson 42 points ago +42 / -0 (edited)

I had a the same game warden ask me for my fishing license at exactly the same spot in the river 3 Saturdays in a row. I'm the only guy who fly fishes that portion of the river, wearing the same waders, vest and hat... he was either bored, being a dick hoping l forgot it, or both.

18
TrumpTrain 18 points ago +18 / -0

Haha, I hear it takes a special kind of person to be a game warden. Usually they are on power trips, wannabe sheriffs

16
OldHickorysFlintlock 16 points ago +16 / -0

They have the power to really fuck you up if step out of line. Legally and financially. I know a lot of states, game and fish, they are self funded meaning that their budget comes from licenses and ticket writing. No ticki, no laundry.

12
Marshall 12 points ago +12 / -0

Game wardens have been granted far more power than the police. They can enter your home without a warrant on the pretext of looking for illegally harvested game. The police can't do that. There is no due process or probable cause with them. It is truly tyrannical.

10
H4yw1r3 10 points ago +10 / -0

Game wardens and postal inspectors both have frightening powers

8
Marshall 8 points ago +8 / -0

And Postal Workers can and do Harvest Ballots while on the job...

6
sir_rockness 6 points ago +6 / -0

I can attest. Experienced it 1st hand in KY.

Nobody cares cause only us hunters and fisherman have to deal with them.

Defund the dept of fish and wildlife!

5
suckmycorona 5 points ago +5 / -0

Nah man. You need some enforcement or the natural resource will get depleted and you will become New Jersey from fishing perspective. Plenty of deer though and douchebags.

NewUser1758 6 points ago +7 / -1

Don't believe that bullshit, they still have to follow all of the rules any other government agent has to follow. Tell that faggot to go get a warrant or get the fuck away from your house.

5
Marshall 5 points ago +5 / -0 (edited)

They are governed by a different set of laws than the police and they are far broader in scope. Just think of it as FISA before FISA with less oversight.

I always thought of them as the Sheriffs of Nottingham protecting the King's forest. You know, the villains of Robbin Hood. Robbin Hood would be a great replacement for the hardworking Donkies adopted by DEMONkRATS.

4
OldHickorysFlintlock 4 points ago +4 / -0

It’s crazy how they can go onto your property day or night without permission. Seems like there is something about that in the constitution somewhere...

3
DinosaurAlert 3 points ago +3 / -0

It is true bullshit.

If a police officer is chasing someone that committed a felony, and they run into a house, the officer is allowed to immediately go in and get him. It is pretty limited.

Game wardens use the same “logic” to say “Well, those publicly owned deer might have gone across your property, so as game warden, I can enter and check.

In the south-east. I've witnessed it a dozen times. Mostly they hear early morning shooting then walk in to check licenses and limits. Other times I've seen them checking ponds for bait. Not just my property either. This has happened on friends places as well. It's not like they have it out for me, it's common practice.

3
Truglow 3 points ago +3 / -0

Fish and game officers are a different breed of dick. Would rather deal with a beat cop.

6
Wal_Mart_Security 6 points ago +6 / -0

I’ve run into good and bad game wardens. One time a friend of mine forgot to plug his shotgun magazine and the warden looked around, found a stick on the ground and gave it to him to use. Then he said good luck and left

The bad ones are usually when we are on the river fishing. Probably has to do with them dealing with jetskiers

3
OldHickorysFlintlock 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'd shake that guys hand. That's pretty cool of him.

2

5
NewUser1758 5 points ago +6 / -1

I have found the game wardens in South Dakota to be very friendly and helpful every time I have come across them.

I guess you're talking about the south but it's south of North Dakota, so it counts.

4
DinosaurAlert 4 points ago +4 / -0

People claim the police are on power trips, but that has never been my experience. I think after you’ve arrested hundreds of people for crimes, a cop won’t get excited about giving out tickets.

Game wardens and building inspectors on the other hand, are fucking terrible people. Their only concern is looking for ways to fuck you.

1
OldHickorysFlintlock 1 point ago +1 / -0

The states I hunt in, game and fish funds a substantial percentage of its operations through ticket writing. Maybe it would be different if the funding came from other sources, but as it stands, it’s open for abuse.

I know they have important jobs, especially when it comes to preventing the spread of CWD and other diseases. Also dealing with poaching and trespassing. But that doesn’t really keep the lights on

2
Northernrebel 2 points ago +2 / -0

Our fish and game officers are great here in NH.

2
OldHickorysFlintlock 2 points ago +2 / -0

It must just be the southeast. Seems like a lot of northern and western states have pretty good people in those positions. Whatever the reason is, down here they have certainly made it hard to speak highly of them as a whole. Just the opposite really.

2
Northernrebel 2 points ago +2 / -0

you actually have to go to college and I believe the police academy to be one here.

I was driving out to the hunting lease in the early 2000s in west Texas. It was late because I had to work. State trooper lights em up waaaay out in the middle of nowhere. Pretty much because I was the only car he'd seen in hours. Asks me what I'm doing. Asks if I have any guns. Asks to see 'em. When I popped the trunk and showed him, he saw a pistol in the gun case and said "that ain't going to do you no good back here."

5
racer513 5 points ago +5 / -0

Quick story. We were driving USFS roads heading back to our deer camp. A USFS truck blows past us and slashes muddy water into our open windows. The woman driver had to have known what she did but just kept racing down this crappy dirt road. A couple miles ahead wr see her truck off the road and buried in mud. She was on the radio calling to base and we got to hear her say I put the truck in the ditch again. My tax money at work. Diversity is our strength

1
OldHickorysFlintlock 1 point ago +1 / -0

lmao, that is gold. Bahahahha I know she would have heard my gut wrenching laughter coming through my windows long long long after I had passed her by.

that kind of stuff cracks me up. You don’t need to even say anything, they just know and it eats them up on the inside. So good

5
Italians_Invented_2A 5 points ago +5 / -0

I don't see what's strange with that.

The cop asked you if it's loaded because in case you were up to no good (e.g. planning a robbery, or just murdered someone) drawing your attention to the gun would have made you visibly nervous and agitated. He just wanted you to think of the gun and see if you had a bad reaction.

Obviously if you said it was not loaded he would have answered in the same way.

Hows the economy down there?

4
TheDespotofCartoons 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's not too bad. Our economy here is mainly centered around tourism, specifically the gaming industry. We have a number of casinos in Biloxi, and there are a few others here and there. However, we also have the Stennis Space Center, Keesler Air Force Base, and the NCBC Gulfport, so a decent number of government jobs (if you can get them) also are available. There's not much in the way of industry, but we do have a shipyard (Ingalls Shipbuilding) and the Chevron Refinery, both in Pascagoula, and all along the coast, shrimping and fishing. We also have Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, and the University of Southern Mississippi as well as William Carey University have campuses here, too.

Overall...I'd say we do all right. ^_^

I think we all need to do our part to help bring Texas back from the brink. Who’s coming with me?

26

I feel the exact opposite, even in deep red states the cities are leftist factories because education and government has been subverted basically nationwide. If you live in Somalia there's no hope anyway so you get used to it, if you live in a state that's slowly dying the hope is draining. Every day another ten Tesla wagonloads of Californians drive into town. I've listened to people asking why there's no high speed rail in Idaho at the barber. Some lady in a fake fur coat was screaming at people for not wearing masks in the hardware store last week, demanding managers kick everyone out.

Been a commiefornian since I moved to the US 30+ years ago. I am looking to move out of this shithole. Looking for suggestions.

Basic requirements:

  • Lots of fishing places (fresh or salt water, doesn't matter)
  • Very 2A friendly
3
rebelde_sin_causa [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

If you want warm weather the entire gulf coast meets your criteria. Florida less gun friendly than the others (no open carry, must have permit to carry concealed). Houston and Tampa are a little blue-ish, but compared with CA will seem like you are in conservative heaven. Mississippi is the most 2A friendly there.

Great freshwater fishing in North Alabama. Very 2A friendly, strong economy.. Ditto for upstate Arkansas.

I believe in planning for the future and thus not settling down in states that could easily be blue in a few years such as Texas and Florida. Choose a locality the baizuo wouldn't be caught dead in. Arkansas, Alabama, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma., West Virginia If things eventually get bad enough these will be the last holdouts of conservatism.

There are some who would point you to the "American Redoubt" of Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, but I don't think that's as safe. Their small populations make them ripe for overthrow by transplants. Won't surprise me if Idaho goes blue this year.

1
midgetpornrocks 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is fantastic! Thank you!

I was looking at the FL panhandle or TX, but you're right about being overran by lefties. This is great advice and info. Thanks again!

BTW, any thoughts on the Carolinas?

1
rebelde_sin_causa [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

The Carolinas are a little more in danger of being overrun, especially NC which is teetering. I'm very familiar with the area, especially SC, and there is nothing wrong with it as it is now, but 10 years from now who knows.

Upstate SC has a lot of great freshwater fishing, low cost of living, good economy. Kind of like north Alabama and north Arkansas.

I love rain storms and I'm looking to spend up to $600k on a property.

Would love to be around other veterans and hard right people.

I currently work as an engineer and could probably work remotely.

Any recommendations? Currently in Massachusetts.

I want like 8+ kids and I want them to be based and red pilled. Home schooling is very possible.

3
Marshall 3 points ago +3 / -0

Interesting. I have about 35 acres in East Texas, currently wooded from my Great Grandfathers farm though my grandmother. It hasn't been worked in years except to harvest timber. You could spend $100,000 for the property, a similar amount to clear it and prepare it for agriculture, get a new survey and fence it. Then build a very nice home and still have about half your money as a nest egg. But it does have an oil well on the property and a few injection sites.

you will be astonished at what $600k can get you down south

I'm hesitant to make a very specific recommendation.... there are countless places from West Virginia to Oklahoma that could suit you

Part of me wants to move to a swing state to bring a few more red votes but the other part of me wants to move to a deep red state so I never have to live under commie rule again.

Thanks, I'll look into Oklahoma and West Virginia.

I just picked those two as points on the geographical spectrum. There's plenty of places just as suitable in between.

When I made a similar decision I asked myself where's the last place in the USA that the baizuo would want to relocate to? Where wouldn't they be caught dead? That's one of several factors that led me to Mississippi. It was probably no higher than 3rd or 4th on my criteria list, but it was on there.

Mountains, beaches, palm trees? Which open carry state is this? I'm moving there.

If it feels good to legally carry in that kind of a place, imagine how good it feels in a blue state like NY or CA.

West Virginia is also great as anyone can carry, residents or not, concealed or open.

Scottsdale, AZ checking in. (Maricopa County) I feel like the insanity from CA is trickling in.

AZ is a blue state now. Just not official yet.

I don't think this picture was taken in a Red State. Palm trees and mountains are bait for privileged Cucks who hate themselves.and anybody who doesn't agree with them. All that's missing is Taco Bell and a huge stash of weed.

Don't mention weed. The resident stoners (losers) will down vote you to oblivion.

They already did.
