That's really clever!

And so is that archive site they use. Though I find it strange that the archive site has a vietnamese top-level domain and runs a script from a russian top-level domain.

Leftists ISPs were trying to shut Archive down, so they diversified and spread out over lots of servers.
Although archive.is is the best known, they also utilize:

archive.today
archive.is
archive.fo
archive.li
archive.vn
archive.md
archive.ph

and some .onion as well.
I wouldn't be surprised to see them adding some block chain

Archive.org is a different host, more media-friendly

They are, but they've deleted a lot of stuff before based on outside pressure. IIRC, this first became obvious during Wikileaks. I think they gave up trying to purge stuff when other sites like Archive.today weren't taking anything down.

I wasn't aware. Glad I use both for redundancy
