Fully appreciate the optimism as it is running in short supply these days, and for that I say thank you. I too see a landslide, and with a large hungry American workforce sidelined the opportunity to bring manufacturing home. MAGA2020 AND BEYOND!!! Oh and fuck communism!!

Traps are being laid by both sides. The side that steps in the least amount of traps wins.

That's just how it is. Playing defense to win takes time.

23
bill_in_texas 23 points ago +25 / -2

Dems don't play defense, they only play offense, and that seems to be a winning strategy. Once Russia failed, they segued immediately into Ukraine, which segued into...well, you get the idea. ABA: Always be attacking.

That's a lesson we need to learn. Trump is a counter puncher? He's using the Ali strategy of letting the opponent tire himself out? It's not working! 2018 showed us that. We need to be on constant attack, which means all the coup plotters and participants, including the scarfed ex ambassador, need to be getting arrested. Just fucking start indicting and arresting. Every week should be a new 4 am raid. THAT is how you do it.

And Trump can't do that himself. I truly believe if he could, he'd be there with his flack jacket and M-4 kicking in the doors himself, but he can't, and it is very questionable whether Barr is going to get that done. Barr whiffed on easy, slam dunk, one off criminal referrals by Congress. He whiffed on ALL of them. He even whiffed on ancillary hangers-on like Smollett. That can't be an accident. Mueller, every blue moon, had somebody rousted and arrested, to keep the offensive game going, and it worked splendidly.

Where is our offensive game? Non existent, from the cheap seats where I'm sitting.

10
TheThreeSeashells 10 points ago +11 / -1

Every week should be a new 4 am raid. THAT is how you do it.

Since it looks like the Left will be successful in shutting down the Trump rallies, weekly (or more) 4:00am raids and perp walks should be the substitute. I can't think of anything else that will equal the enthusiasm of the rallies.

I for one am tired of the fact any Leftist could essentially shoot innocent children on the Capitol building steps in broad daylight on live TV and still walk away without ever being charged.

Everyone is hung up about "optics" except the dems. I think that's because they have the media on their side to under-report them, and flat out lie about us. And if this wuflu has shown me anything, it's that the media (especially social media) has an incredible sway over the population, even conservatives.

4
Evei 4 points ago +4 / -0

Ok, not to make light of the overall topic, because it is serious, but that mental image of President Trump decked out in military gear kicking doors in has me imagining him like Judge Dredd as portrayed by Stallone.

"I AM THE PRESIDENT! YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!"

4
bill_in_texas 4 points ago +4 / -0

In my dream scenario, it would be more like Robocop.

Trump kicks down the door, says to each coup conspirator, "Drop your weapon, you have 20 seconds to comply!"

Coup conspirator: "I'm unarmed! I surrender!"

Trump: "You have 10 seconds to comply/"

3
TheGhostOfSethRich 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's a bit strong handed. I'm sure you're an all about good guy but the fact is that we are a nation of laws that need to be kept.

Don't fall into the trap the Democrats would happily spring. If we start black bagging traitors they would accuse us of becoming tyrants. We are smarter than them and must have patience.

7
bill_in_texas 7 points ago +7 / -0

I am talking about enforcing the law, not setting innocent people up, there's a big difference with what Team Obama/Hillary did. The are going to accuse us of that anyway. Look at the 2,000 former DoJ officials outraged that the set up and railroading of Flynn is being reversed. They are going to say it anyway. There isn't going to be any benefit to us of NOT arresting people who very definitely committed egregious and serious crimes against this country and Trump. Of course the left is going to bitch.

We bitched and shouted while the left was fucking Team Trump. And what happened? Trump's people pled out, did jail time, and all that shouting from our side didn't accomplish shit. Their shouting won't accomplish shit, either. Let them shout, while their coup participants get dragged off in 4 am raids. Shout all you want, leftists!

2
WishdoctorsSong 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is not a symetric conflict. The Dem strategy of perpetual offense works because the Dems have inherited several generations worth of marxist infiltration into the MSM, government bureaucracy, and education system. They have built up a network of cover for their egregious actions.

I honestly don't know what the right strategy is, but it does look like Trump has managed to over 4 years consistently move the Overton window on most important topics while delegitimizing the MSM more and more every day. Maybe this goes somewhere?

10
Rollsablunt 10 points ago +18 / -8

you gotta pay attention more. He has to slowly do this. The cases have been building for a couple years now. I know you want Trump to go full dictator and ruin our election chances. We need to play this correctly.

10
I_Used_to_be_me 10 points ago +11 / -1

Most people don't understand how the legal system works, and even further, don't understand the complexities of something this large in nature. It can't happen quickly, not just because of the way the legal system is intentionally designed, but because public opinion also matters. What is currently happening today, as we speak, is the result of thousands of people working long hours, every single day, for the past 3-4 years, investigating, compiling evidence, building cases, slowly releasing information to the public, etc etc. Even if the evidence were there on day 1, imagine if Trump had just come out and arrested all the top brass, or even just Comey? The country would have been instantly broken in half. We see how divided we are today, and that's nothing compared to what would have happened, or will happen, if this isn't done appropriately, and with patience.

The legal system is intentionally designed this way, but again, public opinion is arguably even more important, here. You'll never get 100% agreement, but there needs to be at least a significant portion of the population that understands what's going on, and supports convicting those involved in a coup to overthrow an incoming president and his administration. It takes time, and as difficult as it is to see, it's been happening. It's like the whole "boil a frog by slowly turning up the heat over a long period of time," analogy. As more and more information leaks out, while more and more swamp creatures at the lower levels are weeded out, the truth will become more and more apparent to more and more people, and will allow the justice system to do its job. It's difficult to see, but in many ways Trump is in the same difficult situation that President Lincoln was in. He has to hold a country together that is more divided than it's ever been (excluding the Civil War, though we are likely right around that same level of division, and there's a good argument to be made that we are currently in a cold civil war).

I understand the frustration, and I, too, am sick of the "tick tock, tick tock,"-ing we've been hearing, but these things do take time, and should not -- nay, can not -- take place overnight, or it'd be a failure, anyway

11
bill_in_texas 11 points ago +12 / -1

The fatal flaw with your argument is, the country is already fatally broken in half. Releasing all the evidence of the coup crimes doesn't mean jack shit. Virtually no one is going to be swayed by that. Sides are chosen already, and if evidence comes out against your side, you just flat out ignore it and attack.

See: Tara Reade

6
I_Used_to_be_me 6 points ago +6 / -0 (edited)

I disagree. I think we're massively divided, but not yet fatally broken in half (see original comment, about how we're more divided than ever, but not yet at the point in which it's irrevocable). Of course there are those who've already chosen sides, like your example demonstrates, but there is a significant portion of the population that isn't that set in their convictions. Over the past few years, I've watched tons of people, in real life, on T_D or other social media platforms, etc, speak about how they've woken up, how they've "left the left," or "used to support bernie," or "were once politically ambivalent." It might seem like it has no effect, but with every event (i.e Kavanaugh, Covington kids, Russia collusion being exposed, Flynn, etc), more people shift their views.

I've seen scores of people wake up and move towards this side, but I've seen nobody support Trump initially, but leave or go to the other side. The tide is shifting in one direction, albeit slowly, but that's my point. For instance (and yes, this is just one person, and anecdotal, but it's representative of what I've been seeing in the broader population), I have an uncle nearing 60 that's never voted in his entire life, and has been politically ambivalent -- but over the past 2 months, his facebook posts almost look like the front page of T_D. The virus has completely woken him up and motivated him. He just put a Trump flag up next to his front door, and has declared he's voting for the first time in his life. I know it's hard to see, especially because what we see on TV, social media, etc, really warps our perception of reality, but public opinion is shifting, and that's necessary for the hammer to fall and bring justice

1
FL2PC72LE 1 point ago +2 / -1

Indeed, even if they release and declassify everything damning, the CNN half of the country won't even know about it. All they know is that Trump "still won't release his tax returns!"

I'm not even sure that's an argument anymore. Maybe it's because I'm on this site to begin with so sort of 'self selected' that seems blatantly obvious. And regardless of what happens I'm sort of already convinced that the hot side is coming and soon.

6

They need to serve indictments this month to have the trials building to the election. That would put the most vocal idiots on the left on defense all the way to the big win.

3

I assume some type of indictments will come before the election. No way they wont.

5

No problem bro. I know its hard to watch all this go on without action. But when there is a real investigation happening with real evidence and procedures, it takes time. What you are asking for might be to early. Real serious evidence is hitting the public, that means its already been heavily used behind the scenes.

Grow up faggot.

0
robroy76 0 points ago +2 / -2

But when there is a real investigation happening with real evidence and procedures, it takes time.

This is false. This is what they want you to believe. The longer it takes the greater the chance it fades from peoples minds. Ask any prosecutor or investigator. Time is not on their side. Just as an example, look at the Duke Cunningham investigation. Start to finish, beginning to jail sentence, less than 6 months. Look at Watergate. From the time the Senate began investigations until Nixon was pardoned by Ford while the other conspirators went to jail, less than two years.

Wookie is correct that this is the same desperate hope for justice expressed in the lead up to the 2018 midterms. Almost like copy pasta. And the swamp is still too deep for any real expectation of arrests and prosecutions. 90% of the DOJ or more are Democrats. However, due to GEOTUS' natural instincts and brilliant skills for playing the long game, he is winning and exposing the fetid stench of the swamp. And unless the Dems are allowed to get away with massive cheating in November, Trump will win reelection in a landslide. Then we can get arrests and prosecutions.

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

And that's all that you can do is expose. You expose the Dems and 8 years from now the GOP does nothing and is itself exposed. It amounts to nothing but at least someone (Trump) has the balls to bring things into the light.

With 30 million Americans out of work, this might be the best time to push for a halt on virtually all immigration for an extended period of time. Those were 30M Americans that had jobs, and were actually working. Let them all get back to work, then if we want to think about loosening legal immigration a little bit, Ok, but right now it should be a negative number, not bringing anyone new in while having a robust deportation operation.

2
enoughdakka 2 points ago +3 / -1

Immigration would be alright if we got rid of that goddamn 60s law

6
stratocaster_patriot 6 points ago +6 / -0

This is so true. Beaners are very well known to be brand loyal. It's why they continue to drive Chevy no matter what. It's why they are proud to speak Spanish even though it was forced on them. The Dems know that. The more that come here (even legally) the better chance they have to be kept in power by the fastest growing population in America. Beaners also rely on welfare more than any other demographic so the party that preaches welfare has an even bigger advantage. Peasants will never turn away from the Dem brand even though they disagree morally on many of their positions. These people's home countries are shitholes for a reason.

My tolerance for all this underhanded bullshit wrangling has waned to such a degree that nothing short of decorating the Rose Garden with their decapitated heads will satiate my thirst for justice.

We tried doing it the civil way and they betrayed that trust, pissed on our Constitution, and assaulted our intelligence with their lies and ridiculous bullshit. The next time I see US Atty Durham he should shirtless and carrying a Hyperborean Glaive covered in blood and all I want to hear him say is "It is done."

3

We've done jack shit the civil way, unless you think casting a vote for Trump in 2016 is all you're supposed to do. At least 85% of Congress needs to be replaced with people who care about our country. We haven't even begun to attempt to primary legitimate candidates and take over Dem/RINO seats. This is supposedly the system so many want to start a civil war for, yet don't want to use.

2
SubaruKayak 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't disagree.

waiting out the fake impeachment shit and letting the Senate squash it was civil. Waiting for Barr to come around is like watching grass grow but it's civil.

Everyday it's been something new. Every day has been more malefeasance and criminal misconduct, evidence of all sorts of corruption- and it's nothing new- they've (the DoJ and FBI) have been privvy to this information for YEARS and have sat on it to 'preserve the espirit de corps.'

If the dossier crossed their desk and they didn't stop it, they should be fired immediately, banned from any public office, tried and jailed, some for consecutive life terms. If the seditious conspirators recruited them into their ranks, they need to die. If they're one of the main players, they need to die horribly. That's to include media, officers of the court, public officials, agents, retired agents, everyone- it is unreasonable that we're nearly 4 years into this shit and not a single fucking asshole with a shred of fucking integrity has stood up and demanded that Justice be served. Not a single fucking asshole who orchestrated this shit has been made to answer for their crimes.

And I also understand that our patience can run thin, especially when it seems like they always get off scott free. I don't have a crystal ball, but what I do know is that Trump is president and they aren't. This is honestly the best shot thus far in the country's entire history to purge our land of the deep state. We should be optimistic, but cautiously optimistic. If this whole thing goes under and Trump is defeated in November then fine, bring on all the pessimism you can muster. But honestly, I feel like right now is the time to both have hope and support the president in his endeavor to let justice see the light of day.

Yea, cause having an honest conversation is such a terrible thing.

Granted, there are those thread sliders who deserve deportation, but why can't we have an uncensored conversation about our concerns?

Some of us just need to be told some positive things and then it helps turn us around, we can't all be positive every day.

Many of the concerns I have seen are 100% valid.

I wish the right would stop the censorship, they are nearly as bad as the left. The speech you disagree with is the speech that needs the most protection.

2
I_Used_to_be_me 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly, I just wrote a fairly lengthy comment in this thread pretty much aligned with exactly what you're saying. I get the pessimism, especially given the way our political system and justice system has been for decades now, and I also get the frustration and annoyance with the "tick tock,"s and "it's happening!"s, but these things, by nature, have to take time, be done extremely carefully, and more importantly, have to be done in alignment with public opinion, otherwise it's doomed to fail, and further divide the country, anyways. RICO cases against criminal organizations take years and don't happen overnight. This is even bigger, and going after the most powerful people in the most powerful positions in the most powerful country in the world isn't a quick or easy task

“Were you aware at that time of Hunter Biden’s role with Burisma?” she was asked at another point.

“Yes. As I mentioned, I became aware during the Q&A in the prep for my testimony,” she answered.

THIS FUCKING CUNT

She had the audacity to say she learned about Hunter Biden being at Burisma for the very first time, when she was prepping for the impeachment hearings?

In a separate email to Yovanovitch, Kent was more explicit about the Biden connection. “This is further to the Blue Star effort to rehabilitate the reputation of their non-client in the US, former ministry of ecologies Zlochevsky, who clearly has retained the services of a blue chip law firm (Cravath) and his energy company Burisma, which in turn has Hunter Biden on its board,” Kent emailed the ambassador.

THIS FUCKING CUNT!!!!!

NAILED! Fucking perjury! WHEN COMES SOME FUCKING INDICTMENTS??? THIS IS AS DEAD TO RIGHTS AS IT GETS!!

Don't have to. Do like what Schiff does. Move an investigation to a committee and rule over it like a tyrant.

Member how antifa fags surrounded Tucker’s home. This is the way.

That was so cringe to be honest, same for the restaurant ambushes. The reason it’s cringe is that it’s just complaining. Complaining is just proving you have no power.

You think our forefathers would have done what antifa did? Hell no. They didn’t just chant, they dragged bad actors into the street, tarred and feathered them or straight up lynched them. Until you’re ready to do that, it’s cringe theater.

Edit: To clarify, I'm not suggesting we do what our forefathers did. I don't think we are there yet. I'm just saying that the things that antifa does, they can only do with the tacit support of law enforcement, which they have. We will not be given the same treatment, so antifa tactics would be suppressed immediately anyway. Plus, they are so cringey like I said. I'd prefer we all stay mature and well behaved until we can't anymore, and when that happens, well... you reap what you sow.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, has been trying to subpoena documents about Blue Star Strategies and its work for Burisma for weeks but has been blocked by opposition from Republican Sen. Mitt Romney, whose friend serves on the Burisma board. Johnson and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, are now seeking to interview witnesses who previously served at the embassy.

Well, well. No booze, no coffee, but corruption is A-OK for Mittens.

5
OrangeElvis 5 points ago +5 / -0

That stuck out to me too. Would be an extra sweet bonus win to have Romney see some time in orange.

3
ScullyMully 3 points ago +3 / -0

Or it should have led "Moral" Mitt to recuse himself from voting to impeach, given his conflict of interest.

Instead he gave the Dems a "bipartisan" impeachment vote.

Yovanovitch, for instance, was specifically warned in an email by her top deputy in September 2016 — three years before her testimony — that Burisma had hired an American firm with deep Democratic connections called Blue Star Strategies to “rehabilitate the reputation” of the Ukrainian gas firm and that it had placed “Hunter Biden on its board,” the memos show

Logic 101: If you want to “rehabilitate the reputation” of your firm, hire Hunter Biden.

4
Light_HIV_Effect 4 points ago +4 / -0

We already knew that at the time during these impeachment hearings, from her opening statement:

The Obama administration did not ask me to help the Clinton campaign or harm the Trump campaign, nor would I have taken any such steps if they had. Partisanship of this type is not compatible with the role of a career Foreign Service Officer.

I have never met Hunter Biden, nor have I had any direct or indirect conversations with him. And although I have met former Vice President Biden several times over the course of our many years in government, neither he nor the previous Administration ever raised the issue of either Burisma or Hunter Biden with me.

That last part should have implicated her in lying to congress. We know she was briefed by the Obama administration on what was going on with Hunter and Burisma.

3
Deplora 3 points ago +3 / -0

“What do you know about the investigation of Burisma?” Yovanovitch was asked at one point during her October testimony.

“Not very much. And, again, that happened before I arrived,” she testified. “… Burisma wasn’t a big issue in the fall of 2018 — 2016 when I arrived.”

“Were you aware at that time of Hunter Biden’s role with Burisma?” she was asked at another point.

“Yes. As I mentioned, I became aware during the Q&A in the prep for my testimony,” she answered.

Well, she managed to directly contradict herself in a single sentence there. It's either:

  1. Yes, she wasaware at that time (in "2016 when I arrived", or even "in the fall of 2018" as she apparently misspoke before saying "2016 when I arrived"), or

  2. "I became aware during the Q&A in the prep for my testimony."

It can't be both, unless she started prepping for her late 2019 testimony an extraordinarily long time before she was asked to testify, and even long before the impeachment hearings over the Ukraine call were even contemplated.

2
Light_HIV_Effect 2 points ago +2 / -0

neither [Biden] nor the previous Administration ever raised the issue of either Burisma or Hunter Biden with me.

It's literally in her opening statement in the talking points. I'm surprised she didn't get called out at the time, but she clearly perjured herself in testimony.

The DNC wrote that for her to way back in november because they had already picked Biden to win.

These people have no respect for our judicial system, America or themselves. While there have been no arrests, I have tremendously faith that justice will prevail. WE are America and these pencil-necks are the minority in this country. They’re making it uncomfortable right now, but they don’t have the fortitude or capability to continue much longer. Once a loser always a loser.

Love it.

Y'know I've browsed TENS OF THOUSANDS of newspapers, magazines and one time 'radical' bulletins--even the old time 'pink' porno newspapers.

However THIS website has the BEST headings I've ever witnessed; a bizarre mix of serious political scholarship, satire and porn--Viz meets The Onion meets The Village Voice...but completely different because NEVER before has a 'publication' allowed its unvetted readers to contribute a 'column' and then write their own INSULTING (often-times) heading!! Most radical 'review' journalism thats ever been IMHO. How the fuck do we (and the mods) get away with it? And NO-ONE's being paid!
