I listen to Rush. Susan Rice's son became a Republican from listening to Rush.

43,000,000 is just insane. Wow

7
HotRoastedNuts 7 points ago

I have a data model that says his audience is really 563 million people.

3
Hillary4Prison2020 3 points ago

I’d love for this to be true but that just seems very unbelievable. Only 250 mil voted in 2016 haha... plus I think there’d be a lot fewer RINOS and Dems running things

5
HotRoastedNuts 5 points ago

I just ran my model again and it says 5.63 billion. The CDC asked me to run some Covid19 projections now.

1
RandomJoe7 1 point ago

I'd love for this to be true but that just seems very uneblievable. Only 7.6 bill on earth haha... plus I think there'd be a lot fewer ZEBRAS and Plebs running things

(... sorry :D)

1
HotRoastedNuts 1 point ago

I just ran the model again and it says the temperature of the earth will hit 212 degrees by 2100.

Trust me, my model has been verified by NOAA and the CDC and the Imperial College of London.

That’s why he’s a listener and Rush is the talented broadcast specialist, documented to be right 99.8% of the time. Guaranteed 100% satisfaction or the next hour is FREE!

8
TommyLasordasBallBag 8 points ago

National treasure, that man. The two voices I loved to hear on the radio were Limbaugh and Vin Scully (Dodger/ baseball fan)... Vin retired, and Rush probably doesn't have much time left 😪

3
YouKnowWhatItIs87 3 points ago

Yup, I’m not a Dodgers fan (even though I randomly went to 1 Dodgers game whenI visited LA) and I’ve still heard the name Vin Scully before. I do have fond memories of playing Tommy Lasorda’s baseball video game for Sega Genius back in the mid-90’s 😀. I know I’m dreading the day, he’s just so upbeat it gives me hope he might have a good chance, but I know the odds, and you listen to him like any day this week and you’d never ever know. A true inspiration, he absolutely loves what he does. And he’s got Trump on speed dial, I bet they shit talk each other from time to time in between golf matches.

Barry White style as Mark Steyn would say. Lol he’s about the only guest host I enjoy, still listen to the others but Steyn is like 20% of the experience compared to Rush, the others maybe 10. And for whatever reason I hate British accents but maybe it’s his humor and when he claims to be a sinister foreign guest host.

4
DarkMemeDuck 4 points ago

He was fire last week, shouting about "How is it possible that the CDC has been working on this for 2 months and we still don't know a damn thing?!"

Right there with ya, Sinister Foreign Guest Host.

Ya “long haired, maggots infested, plastic banana, good time rock ‘n roll, FM types!”

20
Get-schlonged 20 points ago

Crazy.

I think he might be embellishing a little, because he always says his "models" are showing the number. Poking fun at the dooms sayers COVID models that projected ridiculous numbers.

4
KnightHawk 4 points ago

I was surprised by the number and tried to find some other source for it. The last few years the only numbers I could find were 15 million weekly. Business Insider wrote an article stating that the only way to get an estimate would be to get data from Premiere Radio Networks...and then cites Media Matters stating the actual number is basically 'whatever Rush says divided by 10.' Absurd.

So I've no idea, but 40 million is quite a lot.

3
YouKnowWhatItIs87 3 points ago

Exactly, I made this comment 5 hours too late at the bottom, but that’s what he’s doing. Not padding by much, but demonstrating that the models essentially are just made up for the most part (2.1 million dead and all).

16
MaxineWaters4Prez 16 points ago (edited)

43 million listeners. We are such a majority in this country. I swear without fraud, censorship, shilling, and narrative control this entire nation would be so much more fucking great.

Edit: nevermind I didn't pick up on the snark.

Nielsen radio ratings. I'm sure his syndication company premiere radio networks gets the ratings info for his daypart from all the markets he is syndicated in. He has always had huge numbers, but they keep getting bigger.

I'm pretty sure he was making fun of the original corony virus models and projections. He said we have our own models and projections...I was listening live. He said it at the very end of hour 2, and started hour 3 by mentioning it again and talking about "our own projections and models". I took it as a joke.

Rush and what he did for talk radio is a big part of why our side lasted long enough to get Trump in office. Ann Coulter is another major part, but that's a harder sell here.

4
Smurfection 4 points ago

I"m a Rush Baby! My sister is 20 years older than me and when I was in elementary school she'd take me out for ice cream and we'd listen to Rush while I was still in grade school. It was some of the best times of my life!

2

She sounds like a good Sister. Both my Sisters are Dems. I just think it is so cool your Sister did that with you!

2

Most of my family are dems. My oldest sister somehow escaped all the brainwashing then red pilled me. We're still really close. She's like a second mother to me. In some ways, she's closer to me than my own mother. She was the fun "mom".

3
phibetared 3 points ago

hahahahqa. Rush is exagerating a bit.. .just like Fauci, et al.

Rush is the #1 program in the USA, but his listernership is around 15 million unique listeners (per week) = not 43MM

3
AlohaSnackbar 3 points ago

I love the man and what he has done for our great country. It's a shame his father passed before knowing how important his son would become to our nation. His love of aeronautics, tech, and music is visceral, to the point where you can literally see what he's describing despite it only being words.

I was saddened by his announcement of lung cancer. Heartened by his conviction to fight it. Never cared one way or the other on the Vicodin stuff. Doctors hooked MILLIONS of innocent americans needlessly, and I can not fault anyone for falling prey to it.

-BUT- the thing that devastated me the most, even compared to the cancer, was him losing his hearing. Perhaps the preeminent conversationalist in the last 100 years would no longer be able to heat what was said to him? The man with a sharper wit than Churchill would have to pause to read what was said to him before a verbal retaliation? Both of these are bad, but what devastated me the most is that he would never hear music again. Even when his cochlear implant was at its peak, music was little more than static. Given his love of music, I truly felt pain at his loss.

Live long maharushie, you harmless loveable fuzzball you.

2
BlooperBoy 2 points ago

That's about 1 out of 8 Americans. Seems a bit high. Links?

7
FertileMoor 7 points ago

He's joking, mocking the coronavirus "models". He always says "our models say 43 million", making fun of the government models.

4
Get-schlonged 4 points ago

it would be funny if Bo Snerdley or rush was cruising this website. They would get a kick out of this

7
SupremeDick [S] 7 points ago

That’s over a 3 hour span, probably not all at once, but your right that’s a lot of the country looking for a voice telling the truth.

7
RU_joe_king 7 points ago

He used to quote his listener numbers as "unique listeners per week". Maybe that is the context.

1
Simple_Doot 1 point ago

He mentioned it as if that was radios that tune in during his show. He then mentioned the average listener of those 43 million staying tuned in for over two hours. Not sure exactly how those metrics pan out in radio data world but many may just skim by for a few minutes. IDK.

3
BlooperBoy 3 points ago

Yeah ... not to criticize a fellow pede and Rush-lover, but your headline makes it sound like 43 million individual listeners. Like most listeners, I have rush on for two or three hours, so most of those hourly listeners are carry-overs.

3
1776-or-1984 3 points ago

That's 1 out of 6 Americans listening who can vote. I don't imagine anyone who hasn't graduated high school yet is listening to Rush.

Hell I've never listened to Rush, and I'm here, heart of MAGA pepes.

2
YouKnowWhatItIs87 2 points ago

The models NEVER lie! I’ve listened to Rush for nearly 20 years and all 3 hours daily since the impeachment inquiry started, and I know his audience weekly is in the millions, some say 15 million per week, others more accurately say 30-40, but correct if I’m wrong, I think he’s adding a few million to be a little sarcastic. He’s not padding them by much, but I think he’s making a point about Models when he says “EIB Models show ....” to demonstrate this whole China flu garbage and how everybody clings to models even though they’ve been wrong every single time and for what we know totally just made up (2.1 million dead) yet we’ve still destroyed the US Economy. Don’t misunderstand, I wish 330 million people listened to Rush, but my takeaway is he’s making a very clever (and fairly accurate) joke.

2
Get-schlonged 2 points ago

I’m glad some of us get that. Rush is probably rolling around laughing reading this

1
Pumpingiron_Patriot 1 point ago
