I’m a cheap bastard so I’m just gonna use aluminum foil to wrap it up if I have to take my phone with me. Which I don’t need really unless i get stranded.

They can still track you. Barometric Pressure sensor and the accelerometer.

So what you’re saying is they are installing software on my phone and logging this information while I am off-line and then transmitting it up once I reconnect? I am sure there are some apps out there that can do the logging such as Google maps, etc. but I wonder if it’s actually true???

Maybe people just need to break the habit and leave their damn phones at home if there’s any question.

Yes, they can track/turn on newer phones that are off. Theres a reason why American politicians use flipper phones

Bottom line still is simple, if the phone can't receive a signal, it can't answer, and none of this Buck Rogers stuff works.
