LET ME BREAK IT DOWN FOR U.

QUARANTINE FATIGUE WAS WEEKS AGO.

THIS WEEK WILL BE QUARATINE FORGOTTEN!

And, btw please convince me this quarantine was not a Home Depot/Lowes stimulus plan.

Please don't assume we don't already know that because the clown who wrote the article doesn't. 🤣

Nice!

Seriously though, you'd think the local Lowe's was the grocery store. Parking lot packed, daily.

Jokes on them! I've been leaving my cellphone in a Faraday cage when I don't immediately need to use it, for years now.

And people call me paranoid

I’m a cheap bastard so I’m just gonna use aluminum foil to wrap it up if I have to take my phone with me. Which I don’t need really unless i get stranded.

2
PepeKek2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

They can still track you. Barometric Pressure sensor and the accelerometer.

3
mdfl 3 points ago +3 / -0

So what you’re saying is they are installing software on my phone and logging this information while I am off-line and then transmitting it up once I reconnect? I am sure there are some apps out there that can do the logging such as Google maps, etc. but I wonder if it’s actually true???

Maybe people just need to break the habit and leave their damn phones at home if there’s any question.

Pedeville 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes, they can track/turn on newer phones that are off. Theres a reason why American politicians use flipper phones

1
mintyfresh [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Bottom line still is simple, if the phone can't receive a signal, it can't answer, and none of this Buck Rogers stuff works.

In the not too distant future patriots will be putting their homes in faraday cages to avoid the disruptions and spying on their personal behavior.

Better than me leaving it at home when I go out!

Most of us would have no idea there was a virus if not for the media. Now they are nonessential.

sustainable_saltmine 12 points ago +12 / -0

well then, end the quarantine

Smurfection 9 points ago +9 / -0

It's not quarantine fatigue. It's the realization that the Coronavirus isn't as nearly as fatal as the press made it out to be and that most people prefer having a job and getting a bad flu than being unemployed in a crashed economy.

For you, perhaps. Some folks don't realize this, just as they don't realize NSA surveillance of the telephone system (and the internet) has been built in since they implemented Echelon in the 1970s.

"By April 17, the researchers found, the share of people presumed to have stayed home - meaning their phones didn't move at least a mile that day - declined from a national average of 33 percent to 31 percent, compared with the previous Friday. That came after six weeks of the staying-home percentage increasing or holding steady."

It is a slim minority in our area staying at home.

Cries in CT. Only grocery, Target/Walmart, UPS/USPS and hardware open to public, some restaurants are take out only rest are closed....until May 20 while a team of "experts" write a report which they will present on said date, then figure out a plan to reopen.

Edit: oh, and we now are supposed to wear a mask, or homemade mask from a shirt to "stop the spread" as of last Tuesday. I got denied entry to HD, but holding my t shirt over my mouth made it acceptable to enter. This state is a joke.

I don't think there has been a day I have not gone somewhere more than a mile from my house.

The nationwide shift during the week of April 13 was relatively slight. However, any loss of momentum, particularly when stay-in-place orders remain in effect across most of the country, has some public health experts worried about "quarantine fatigue." Any increase in travel, they say, is premature when staying home remains the most effective way to limit the spread of the virus until widespread testing and contact tracing become available.

Ah, the "experts" who have yet to have a model that is even close to accurate, keep moving goal posts (i.e. flatten the curve vs stop the spread) etc. Except for a few days where we had bad weather I have been out every day.

dataonly 6 points ago +6 / -0

To be clear they new the model was garbage. Was never intended to be accurate. Was intended to serve and agenda.

Anyone who looked at the original model could tell it was garbage.

Now they act all supersized that testing revealed the virus was here much earlier and lots of people aleready had it and had no idea, thereby making the rate of people who need medical care or die much lower.

Duh. Most of the people here could have told you that it didn't just deiced to hop a flight to the US one day in Late Feb or early March.

mintyfresh [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Same here. Yesterday seemed normal; everybody was out.

4
thisisatestof2 4 points ago +4 / -0

Same here in CT. Today was dreary rainy day so very little traffic, but yesterday was a normal Saturday levels of traffic with parking lots at state parks and other rec areas full and Home Depot like normal. Naturally the Karens were all upset people weren't staying home.

At a state park, a friend reported that a officer blocked the entrance to the full parking lot, so they just parked on the of of the road and walked in. When they left at least 50 cars hand done the same.

It's because people are figuring out the whole lockdown was a scam predicated on false information, so right now people are saying "fuck it" time to get on with life. The infectious rate was high, but all the other numbers put the severity far below most major causes of death. Remember, NO ONE CAN GUARANTEE YOUR SAFETY! Use good judgment in everything, and live life the best way you see fit.

The government has lost the consent of the governed because they have been authoritarian in their approach to managing COVID19. Many of the state governments have decided that the citizens are incompetent and "The State" and the experts knows better. The average American citizen understands that this virus is mostly a risk to the sick and the elderly. We have destroyed our economy without actually addressing the main threat of the virus. "Flattening the curve" was supposed to make certain that we had adequate medical facilities to treat the infected, not prevent all future infections. If the states want to appear to remain in control, they need to start phased re-opening today. Otherwise, the citizens will do it for them, and we may overwhelm our facilities. Fear has caused the politicians to allow the goal posts to move from controlling resources to controlling the populace.

Welcome to the new world order where you are tracked by your cell phone usage and it is used against you. Bring on 5G where they will disincentivize you by turning your smart home appliances on and off as a punishment for non compliance.
