Need to make sure it’s the American version, not the French

The American Revolution was organized and executed by people who want to leave you alone, and set up a system to do that. The French Revolution was organized and executed by proto-communist populists and beheaded anyone they didn’t like while setting the stage for Napoleon.

Americans was more ‘leave us alone government ’ and didn’t have a vengeful edge. French was more ‘government make us equal’ and had a very vengeful edge

If we remove idealistic hero worship towards the founding fathers...

The king of Britain had the benefit of the Atlantic Ocean to protect him.

The king of France did not enjoy that luxury.

You need to look into the French Revolution if you haven't already. They were in some ways the intellectual forbears of our current blue-haired SJW / genocidal communist psychos.

The systematically murdered all the hereditary nobility they could find...that's what the guillotines were for.. high through-put industrial execution. They then went into insane leftist purity spirals, executing each other in frenzied purges. They nationalized the churches, outlawed religion, slaughtered monks, nuns and priests, went to a 10 day week, etc.

They were sort of the OG revolutionaries, in terms of wanting to overthrow and totally destroy the society that went before and replace it with a "logic"-based, anti-traditional, anti-religion SJW religion.

Holy shit. No wonder I've never heard of this. No school would ever teach this to students.

Gonna dig up a good audiobook on this.

If you find something good, let me know?

I assume kids are told that lots of people got killed in the FR, but probably are spared some of the gory details.

What I can't understand is how France plays off what a shit show of genocidal slaughter and leftist retardation it was. I don't mean to brag but the American revolution was pretty damn civilized. Aside from our guys shooting from behind stone walls, which prolly seemed quite barbaric to the English, #BothSides were fairly well behaved.

But the French went full Pol Pot.

Never go full Pol Pot.
