Are all inspector generals corrupt?

Sure seems like it.

123
Toughsky_Shitsky 123 points ago

Assume every career gummint employee above pleb grade is corrupt, and you'll be right 90+% of the time.

53
poop 53 points ago

Even the pleb grade get off on the moments in which they're able to be petty tyrants.

5

Petty Tyrants, that disribes the left to a T. Better coin that term

My grandma always called those people that get too big for themselves in what little power they have ‘tin-pot dictators’

25
America_No_1 25 points ago

There's a reason people are willing to donate hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars to a campaign to possibly get a foot into the Obama and Clinton admins...small potatoes compared to the power and influence that people want access to in a government position

14
KM4JNW 14 points ago

Having spent 24 years working close to Federal employees (as a US military service member) I can tell you that the same tenets that draw a person toward a career in Federal service are the same tenets that draw them toward the highly abusive leftist ideology.

2
K-Harbour 2 points ago

Many countries the government workers have their own political party. We really should have a constitutional amendment that if you work for the government, you don’t get a vote.

CURRENT SPEED: 358,939,385,117,000 MPH!

At that rate, it would take approximately 4.675 years to travel to the Andromeda Galaxy (2.5 million light-years)!

5
Jcholl9 5 points ago

RIGHT ON!!!

44
nocucks 44 points ago

Its corruption 101. If you want to be corrupt, you have to make sure the people who are supposed to investigate corruption are on your payroll. These are the most important positions to place stooges in. If corruption in government exists (which it does) you can assume the government watchdog is also corrupt.

13
CitizenPlain 13 points ago

Exactly this. Drain the Swamp!

7
ChuckedBeef 7 points ago

Then why is Trump plugging in another stooge from the EPA? Start going with outsiders, people he can trust. Anyone on government payroll is 9/10 times a self serving crook. I don't like those odds.

5
Based_Trumpster 5 points ago

Because Leftists and idiot RINO's have passed ridiculous laws dictating to the President who he can and cannot appoint to various positions in the executive branch. Laws that violate the separation of powers and are totally unconstitutional.

4

Horowitz found no bias in Strzoks motives

12
Norman_F_Dixon 12 points ago

Based,
Horowitz quote: "I found no evidence of bias..."
Yes, it appears to be splitting hairs, but lawyers do that, sometimes for a good reason, sometimes for a bad reason.
Not finding evidence was not a statement that Strzok was not biased.
The spin was that Strzok was not biased.
Everybody knows if it walks like a duck, etc..
Benefit of the doubt to Horowitz for now, believe he was keeping his powder dry for another shot... which he sure seems to have taken with his latest report on FISA abuse being the rule at the FBI, not the exception,
Cheers mate.

11
bill_in_texas 11 points ago

Finding problems with other FISA warrants actually gives cover to the coup participants.

"Look, we're not doing some kind of evil plan to get rid of Trump, we're just incompetent, OK?"

I don't believe that. Job 1 was and is get rid of Trump.

6
Norman_F_Dixon 6 points ago

The battle to get rid of Trump was lost on 8 November 2016.
Since then the rest of us have been allowed in the theater to watch the movie from the cheap seats.

While I would never deny my capacity for pedantry, I hope it wasn't overly so. It was late, I was "relaxed," so I somehow missed the fact that my point was near identical to yours. It is my understanding that inspectors general present facts only, and, speaking of which, have to be the ultimate pedants to maintain impartiality and avoid conclusions or judgements. But, speaking of powder, he sure did provide a mountain of it Tony Montana would envy, to Cruz, Jordan and Graham and anyone else with eyes could lob some mighty big projectiles at our corrupt intelligence agencies. Comey in manacles any day now, I'm sure...

So I am curious why the 'Witz getting such a bad rap around here lately.

1
Norman_F_Dixon 1 point ago

Witz soft-balling initial report was red meat and distraction to corrupt officials and staff in Congress, keeping all lanes open for Huber and Durham. Nobody who is manipulating the corrupt officials and staffs in Congres is fooled for a minute by the soft-balling. It is for us, the public, to keep us distracted from the very real "silent war" that is ongoing. Horawitz was passing the distraction baton over to the Cruz, Jordan, Graham operatives to continue to muddy the waters.

Here's some pedantry for you, "Donny, unbarr the durham!"

and then there is this...

13
Opinionated_Ocelot 13 points ago (edited)

That's not really applicable here... I mean... It probably is, but that's not the reason. Trump stated immediately after signing the bill that he wasn't going to acknowledge this position. The job never existed. Some Dems probably just put him in place so they could have a story that Trump fired him. Lol

Edit: To be fair, though, we now see exactly who the Dems wanted in place... An old Clinton DoD puppet who was put in place in 2015 (HMMM, nothing to see here) to cover his DoD's ass ahead of the election.

7
AngryCitizen 7 points ago

Maybe not IG Horowitz.

Obama’s team sidelined him for like 8 years.

He’s been busy as a three-legged beaver before mating season!

2
JerryJerryJerry 2 points ago

This pleases me, as I have watched his December cross examinations by Cruz, Jordan and Graham almost as many times as election night reaction videos, and are among my go-to red pills.

Remember when politics used to be boring

2
JerryJerryJerry 2 points ago

I remember Walter Mondale, sure. I remember when I couldn't name any lawmaker who supported known terrorist organizations. Or espoused communist ideas, that a significant portion of voters enthusiastically supported. And I'm particularly nostalgic for the days when the concept of gulags were strictly a horrible piece of another country's history, and not a real possible future, dependent on a few all too easily rigged elections.

I love how he keeps on talking to the media like he is doing "damage control" for things Trump says.

However, the reality is that what Fauci and Trump disagree over the most are opinions not facts. Fauci is a glass half empty guy and Trump is a glass 200% full guy. Lets not forget that Fauci himself was downplaying the impact and how lethal the virus was when it first hit.

29
Marble68 29 points ago

Gut tells me this.

Fine was sitting on the IG report that came up yesterday. They were going to finish an IG report "bombshell" at the height of the pandemic that the Dems would hang their investigations on.

They tried to use the press to start laying the foundation of public opinion around the contents of the report, but got exposed.

They were forced to reveal the source on TV, or admit they were making it up. So they tried to play games; and they made them reveal details.

They ran the report up to where it had stopped - and that was with Fine.

Fine wanted to be the "star witness" in the Democrats' latest investigation hoax.

That's what my gut is telling me.

14
charbatch 14 points ago

He shouldn't have had anything to do with that IG report. Different agency.

3

Gotcha. Makes me wonder if IGs share info? Maybe he leaked it?

Just wait until they roll out Fauci as their star “orange man incompetent virus response” witness.

5
donald_zuramp 5 points ago

Nope.

For one, I don't think Fauci would do it, although I know 99% of you disagree.

But facts are facts, and he's already gone up in front of the WH Press Pool and said that the Trump administration acted as soon as they had the data. Fauci said in no uncertain terms that it made no sense, at the time, to act any sooner because they had no evidence of an outbreak in the US.

I am paraphrasing but he explicitly defended the administrations timely course of actions. So there's no way he'd be able to testify something that contradicts what he is on the record saying.

Furthermore, his own credibility is going to be shot when this is over with, and we fall way short of the numbers which were their "best case" scenario. Like when we come below half the mark of their best case scenario nobody in their right mind is going to be able to criticize the Trump WH's response to this crisis because according to the data, we performed so well it shouldn't have been possible.

Yeah, people are unfortunately dying as we approach the peak, but they are not dying because of a lack of a resources, or anything that can be blamed on the Federal Government.

3
kek_saved_the_world 3 points ago

I want to believe

2
donald_zuramp 2 points ago

Oh the fake news and democrat media absolutely WILL continue to blame Trump. They have not dropped their political agenda for even a nanosecond during this entire crisis.

But you'll notice there's never any specifics right? The longer this goes on it's just general, vague, -waves hands- Orange Man Bad language.

He "downplayed". They're not talking about his actions because his actions were timely and appropriate. They're just talking about a handful of pull quotes. They can't rightly talk about his actions because all these fuckin retards are on the record calling his actions wrong and racist and everything else. So how dare they say, now, he didn't act soon enough?

He was "unprepared". They're relying on idiots to forget they have state governors and state agencies who were supposed to be the first line of defense here. Or that the stockpile was empty before he got here? Or that Obama's much vaunted "Pandemic Response Team" apparently sat around jerking each other off for years and we had nothing whatsoever to show for it when a real life scenario came about? The notion that Trump fired them all was already debunked, but truthfully, he mas as well have.

He's a "mass murderer". I mean they claim this about his foreign policy too. It's one of the Big Lies. By "Big Lie" I mean, literally the opposite of truth, a lie not just to damage Trump but to cover up their own incompetence.

Trump's foreign policy has been infinitely more compassionate than Bush and Obama's. Trump does not engage in regime change or wars for profit. Yet they call him a "mass murderer" anyways. Perfect example of a Big Lie. He's had the most reasonable, effective and low-human cost foreign policy we've seen since pre-Bush 1 so they must go big with their lie here. Especially since Obama was such a colossal letdown for any "anti war" liberal who voted for him, and got Bush 2.0, "Bush with Drones". They really don't want you to remember this, or that Obama was preemptively given a Nobel Peace Prize and then went on to be a total piece of shit and the first president in American history to not have a single day of peacetime in an 8 year administration.

And the same goes with this Coronavirus catastrophe. "Mass Murderer" because some people died. People who would NOT have died if China had not covered up the virus, who would NOT have died if the WHO had not repeated China's lies and propaganda, but would not necessarily had been saved by earlier or greater actions on Trump's part.

Once the virus was on our soil, it had the opportunity to run wild for weeks unchecked because it remained asymptomatic or hid itself in the weeds of "flu season". But Trump did great and by all accounts we are beating the most optimistic projections which is incredible. Obama would be hailed as the best president of all time if he handled this crisis the exact same way as Trump. But Trump is a "Mass Murderer". Big Lie.
