Holy fuck could that article be any more negative about it? You can feel the butthurt pouring out of the author.

Fuck the author.

There's no definitively proven treatment for COVID-19 because it's a new virus. That doesn't mean we sit on our asses and do nothing while people die, especially when there's plenty of anecdotes from qualified doctors saying that a particular drug worked miracles for some people.

Right to try.

I get the feeling, from reading doctors responding to this drug, that it's risky so with a very sick person, etc, that the real 'weak link' in our system here is over enthusiastic litigation causing docs to play it safe and governments to err on the side of draconian laws as opposed to looking like they're 'doing nothing', etc. But, people advising the lawsuit system has fucked us thoroughly. There's a fine big ol thick fuggin line between getting compensation for real malpractice and diving for a lawyer, routinely, as a lifestyle and means of employment.

There is a concerning lack of interest by the "media" in actual treatments, something that in a sane world would be of interest to everybody and sell clicks or whatever. Instead they are only hyper focused on death numbers, destroying the economy and Orange Man Bad. The mainstream, corporate, chicom aligned media in the country needs to die for the US to live.

You're triggered by someone noticing a very familiar pattern? Interesting.

If you read the link the the huffpost article they reference, it's another smear campaign.

If I can sum up the disloyal opposition in one sentence: "We don't know (and don't want to know) if it works, so let's nothing even if doing nothing has very little risk"

Politico writing with anus stinging -- very, very disrespectful!

Politico...another enemy of the people.

The FDA must have some additional data, maybe some early data from the clinical trial going on in NY.

Thank you for the link! Lots of misinformation online as of late.

They are still trying to wait until people's lungs are injured before starting the therapy. This is asinine.

Actual FDA authorization so you don't have to share politico garbage:

https://www.fda.gov/media/136534/download

On page 3:

Based on the totality of scientific evidence available to FDA, it is reasonable to believe that chloroquine phosphate and hydroxychloroquine sulfate may be effective in treating COVID-19, and that, when used under the conditions described in this authorization, the known and potential benefits of chloroquine phosphate and hydroxychloroquine sulfate when used to treat COVID-19 outweigh the known and potential risks of such products"

They FDA figured whatever, it won’t kill people to try if they get it by prescription only. So this drug is authorized for use, but the FDA still doesn’t have a stance on its effectiveness because of scant evidence thus far.

It’s going to turn out that these drugs help the most if you take them early. Trump is waiting on the results from the trial of 1100 before committing to saying they work and in what capacity. Just a few more days for some real answers.

Political just can't keep itself from dissing hydroxychloroquine just because Trump suggested it as a possible treatment.
