This may sound counterintuitive to normal, conservative thought. But I believe you can measure the effectiveness of Bernie by how much money he's been able to accumulate as a politician for the past 40 years. Now don't get me wrong, his three houses trump my one condo. He definitely has more money than me. But the fact he isn't mega rich like Pelosi, Kerry, Schumer, and others tells me that he has been terrible at his job for a long time.

Some would say that shows he's not corrupt. Perhaps. I would say that it shows his weakness and inability to actually be effective in Washington. Bernie is a powerless, feeble man who stumbled to national prominence to due bad candidates surrounding him and by making promises for free everything. He got lucky all his life. He has been lazy all of his life. His policies are lazy. His work ethic is lazy. And he is severely disconnected from the ideals that make America great.

I am glad to see his campaign go down in flames. I am glad to see the Democratic machine dismantle his campaign.

Now, it's time for our work to begin. We must explain the virtues of free markets. We must identify the values that propelled our country to greatness. We must show our fellow countrymen that our ideas will help them become the best versions of themselves. We must show them how to make themselves and America Great Again.

9
Yucky 9 points ago +9 / -0

I think this is a fair assessment.

We must explain the virtues of free markets.

For sure, but we must not slavisly bow down to them either. If it's hurting us, like trade with China is, then we must make rules to tamp down on them. It's not a religion, we don't need to sacrifice our country on the altar of "free trade".

That said, our trade with China is nowhwere near being free, as they heavily subsidize their industries and steal our IP.

8
DatNewbChemist 8 points ago +8 / -0

Being pro-trade doesn't mean being for ANY trade. I'm very much for trade and acknowledge that America's faith in the market has played and continues to play an enormous role in what has made us the powerhouse of the world. Our capitalistic structure and embracing of enterprise fuels us. But all that said, I'm for trade PROVIDED that it's beneficial. Saying I'm for trade doesn't mean I'm blindly for any and all trade.

I think this is what so many don't get about Trump. He's not anti-trade - the man built his empire in business and has first hand experience with the wonders of a market system - his constant demand for USMCA and for new deals with China is evidence of his approval of trade. But, as above, that doesn't mean that he's blindly for any and all trade. He wants, to quote him, it to be fair and reciprocal. If playing hardball for a period and getting in a little tariff skirmish is what it takes to get other nations to agree to more favorable terms, so be it.

There is no sacrificing on the altar as long as we recognize that being for free market systems means that we're also allowed to act like discerning producers and consumers when it comes to us engaging in the market - exactly like the type of agents you'd find in free market systems.

1
Yucky 1 point ago +1 / -0

Very well said pede, I'm with you 100%. I know it's more long winded, but every time I see someone say "free trade" or "free markets", I want to preface it with what you wrote.

Because for a long time, Republicans did NOT preface it with that, and we got completely lopsided predatory trade that shredded our manufacturing base. So I always make it a point to be clear what our new trade paradigm entails.

Fight on!

3
6-_-j 3 points ago +3 / -0 (edited)

I'm for trade PROVIDED that it's beneficial

Exactly. Free trade doesn't mean free-for-all trade, people seem to confuse that. It means free to trade if we wish to trade, not that we have to take all and any deals offered.

3
Schiffting 3 points ago +3 / -0 (edited)

Yeah, Fair Trade > Free Trade

Which you think would be basic knowledge, but our leaders haven't thought so for decades.

Why? They'll just do what leftists do, infiltrate and try and turn us into communists. If you're still feeling the Bern at this point in time, you're a danger to yourself and your community.

You must be new around here. Plenty of Bernie supporters disavowed in 2016 and got on the Trump Train. Called them After-Berners.

With extreme vetting yeah, they gotta get past shit like "free healthcare for anyone crossing the border" but if they'll ditch all the bullshit they'll fight for the right side and if they now are solid American capitalists.

5
americathegr888 5 points ago +6 / -1

We should welcome all the ex Bernie supporters -

Should we, though? Do we really need MORE people saying how great legal invasion from the third world is? Or how Trump is "okay but he needs to give us free healthcare" or that "trans and pedo shit ARE conservative values, just like Charlie Kirk and TPUSA say, bigot!" ?

Do we really need more of that shit?

Even though its impossible not to savor each and every meltdown across reddit, after months of /r/all being flooded with Bernie spam, part of me feels sad that an entire age bracket is so far lost into debt for fantasy degrees.

part of me feels sad that an entire age bracket is so far lost into debt for fantasy degrees.

You shouldn't feel sad; that's just the left emotionally manipulating you to get at your wallet (again).

The facts are that student loan debt is not a crisis. The average amount owed is around $30k and payments are less than $300/month. Only 4% of students owe six figures and most of them are in graduate or professional school.

Its yet another manufactured crisis.

6
redditcansuckme 6 points ago +6 / -0

I feel you friend. I elected not to go to university after high school because I didn't know what I wanted to do, every man and his dog told me just to go and do an arts degree. I told them I wouldn't piss my money down the drain for something useless just for the sake of it.

But I do pity those who did. Some may bitterly say they brought it on themselves and deserve it, and I actually agree with that. But I can pity someone and still believe they deserve the consequences of their actions.

The Sanders sub is extra salty, posting things like - The world will now end because Bernie is the only person to stop our demise because of muh climate change. Old people should die now, hope they all get Wuhan and croak so that us normal, decent people can get Bernie. We're all going broke now because we won't get free healthcare. Fuck everyone, now I have to pay my debts. I might as well kill myself now. I'm going to leave this fucking disgrace of a Country. Fuck the Republican fascist regime, now they go full fascism.

they get degrees in women studies and then claim gender doesn't exist!!! REEEE

13
kirovri 13 points ago +13 / -0 (edited)

Problem is their degrees in women's studies don't even help them much in this economy

They should've thought of that before.

People who actually get a productive degree like engineering or whatever can pay back their student loans because they actually contribute to society.

If they decide to rack up student loans for a degree that's completely worthless to society then that's their choice and their problem. We should not be enabling this type of stuff. If we "forgive" student loans we will have even more leftists studying this useless SJW shit - but now paid for by your taxes. Literally SJW propaganda financed by tax payers is what Bernie's platform is. Or was.

lol I just saw that. I mean, if Bernie comes out and does hardball at the debate - it should be hilarious. Senile old stutterin Joe isn't going to be able to handle it and probably melt down.

However, it's not going to help Bern's chances any. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. I'm not party insider but it seems even from an outside view the DNC seems quite content to stuff Bernie away again and get on to what they really want to do.

Look at Trump's 2016 campaign. You have to roll around in the mud at least a little bit in a crowded field. Bernie didn't have to do jack shit vs Clinton because it was pretty much always head-to-head and she was thoroughly hated by everyone. Joe Biden is (was, before dementia that is) way more likeable than Hillary, plain and simple, so you actually have to point out the negatives proactively.

I think his voters dont pay that much attention. They know Sanders is a socialist and so they just vote the other guy. Id do the same if I was a dem. Even as a libertarian Id rather vote Biden. His handlers will keep the status quo which is better than communism.

Same with libertarians actually. You dont need to follow politics that much to know, although Trump isnt perfect for us, he is miles better than any dem.

1
bubadmt 1 point ago +1 / -0

Calling Bernie a communist over and over, playing his sympathizer soundbytes over and over, and addressing the nation that we will never be a socialist country were the best countermeasures we could have done and they worked extremely well.

1
Rothbard 1 point ago +1 / -0

I was a 16' Bernout and still believe Bernie truly fights hardest among his cohort. Buuuut it doesnt matter so KAG and fuck the rest ;)

12
Rothbard 12 points ago +12 / -0

How did you end up a socialist in the first place did you skip economics?

To me it is very odd to vote for a socialist. It is indisputable in history it is the fastest way to create mass poverty. So its odd they pretend they are for helping the poor.

2
CommieCucksFuckOff 2 points ago +2 / -0

I can see the appeal I have friends who are Bernouts.

They aren't looking at the "If we implement these policies than = This is going to happen" kinda aspect of every other state sponsored socialist/communist regime throughout history.

They are just looking at the problems, and Bernie says he will give a solution. The people who have 40k in student loan debt because they had ZERO sense and went to college for a major that you come out of school barely employable at minimum wage?

Those people have a problem. Yes it's their fault they have it and no we are not responsible for their poor decisions. But the fact still remains they have a pretty big problem. Lots of people start having it and they start commiserating online. They some lazy slob gets nationally recognizable for saying he's going to offer a solution for that problem. And his solution requires little to zero sacrifice on your part! He's just going to "fix it".

I feel like the people with the mentalities that got them to take on these debts to begin with immediately gravitate to a message like that.

Then they don't sit down and think "Ok he says he's going to fix it but exactly how... would it work?" etc. They just know he's going to let them off so he's their guy.

Same thing with people dissatisfied with their shit tier healthcare. And people making McDonalds wages because they've dedicated their life to smoking pot like it's their religion. They all got a problem. Crazy old man is going to eliminate that problem with no extra work for them. They aren't asking how! Just do it Bernie! You're our guy!

I think DEEP DOWN, these losers know that the fixes to their problems will be strapped to the back of everyone that is actually successful. They just don't care. That's jealousy for you.

4
Onplanet 4 points ago +4 / -0 (edited)

I think the thought process is a lot simpler.

It's more or less the narrative. Bernie = Help the poor, Trump = Only help the rich. History be damned, it's different this time. Fundamental economics are not really considered.

-when in fact Trump is working to do the things that these people actually want (i.e. helping all Americans to live a better and more prosperous life), and they just don't realize it.

1
Rothbard 1 point ago +1 / -0

But if you thought for 5 seconds it is so clearly not the case, only the extremely stupid and uneducated should fall for that. For example rent control and zoning clearly ruins cities. Yet the socialists put in those policies that lift the poors rent and creates unaffordable housing so they cant get out, then the poor vote for it. Blows my mind. But honestly its just so dumb not to understand supply and demand.

Ill admit, I dont accept someone being poor. It is a mindset. It seems so easy to not be in a western country.

I have turned up to 3 countries with less than a $k in my pocket and ended up making a go of it. None of them were the US which is cheaper and has more opportunities than any other country.

Ill admit I am not heavily connected to my family do im not restricted by location.

1
Onplanet 1 point ago +1 / -0 (edited)

Yea if you thought for 5 seconds it would not be the case, but then pretty much all of their core talking points are one thought lacking even simple foresight. (ie. help those poor migrants > thought process ends here)

They fall for fake news all the time without thinking, even when the opposite is then accepted as truth days later, they defend illogical positions all the time. It really is par for the course.

I couldn't care less either way. I'm sure Trump lives/lived a lavish elite lifestyle, and he may or may not have lied about inflating his wealth for tax purposes, but who GIVES A SHIT. That's what they fail to realize.. we don't care, we don't view this world through a prism of faux-moral superiority and feign outrage at every little thing Trump does wrong. We know he's probably done some less than perfect shit, but who among us hasn't? We love him because he says what we're all thinking, that he's the only President who's ever had the balls to stomp on the notion of political correctness and not afraid to hurt leftist feelings, he didn't have to do this, he doesn't even take a paycheck. Dude I've got 2016 vibes all over my body. I can't wait to make my leftie friends eat shit for 4 years about the reelection of President Trump. It's gonna be glorious, I might lose those friends but I don't care. They haven't shut up about hating the president, I won't shut up about loving him.

8
Nellie_the_Beaut 8 points ago +8 / -0

Oh, yeah! I can’t wait to shove it in my crazed leftist family members’ faces! They cut my family off in Nov 2016 due to Supreme butthurt-itis over Trump beating Side O’ Beef. On the rare occasion we see them, all they do it bitch about how the Bad Orange Man is unfit for office and “tearing this country apart with his divisive rhetoric.” Then they usually throw in a “he’s a blatant racist and so is anybody who supports him!” for good measure. Thanksgiving and Christmas are going to be EPIC this year!

14
_CaptainObvious 14 points ago +14 / -0

The "friends" you lose aren't worth keeping anyway. I lost a couple, and Holy shit it's so good not having to walk on eggshells to avoid them melting down. Fuck em, keep moving forward.

12

the_light 46 points ago +46 / -0

As a '16 Bern-out I say this:

To the lurker Sanders supporters, you will not receive your donation money back. I didn't get mine back. You might be able to right off large amounts on your taxes, but it's doubtful. Do not feel confused or overly hurt - you have been lied to by the DNC govt establishment/mass media. Bernie accepts those conditions and gaslights you. You may presently believe so, but Trump does not do the same. Do not feel hate toward fellow countrymen and us Trump supporters here. We are accepting, and more importantly, painfully honest. Free speech rules supreme.

Biden is a withering arm of the establishment, and it's only under Trump's second term that the gloves may come off to finally, hopefully, get rid of the corrupt govt-perpetrators of this horrible division begun by the behind-scenes-powers. America will never be a socialist country. We will always be strong and proud, and a guiding light to all other nations.

Come get a coat.

2
CommieCucksFuckOff 2 points ago +2 / -0

To the lurker Sanders supporters, you will not receive your donation money back. I didn't get mine back.

Jesus Christ I always thought that was a meme?!! Did Sanders supporters ACTUALLY ask for refunds of their donations in 2016?

14
nocucks 14 points ago +14 / -0

You cannot deduct any political donations from your taxes.

22
Schiffting 22 points ago +22 / -0

I was at one point as well. Proved himself weak in 2016, I dropped him, proved himself a cuck in 2020 and it's just sad at this point. Came over here this evening since there's few places on Reddit where people recognize that and been meaning to anyway.

To anyone else who was a Bernie supporter: can you imagine the person who couldn't stand up to softballs from his own party dealing with our adversaries? Negotiating on our behalf? Pushing legislation to help the working class? He would have capitulated. He never gave you any indication that he would fight.

3
bellcurvestrikesback 3 points ago +3 / -0

He could never hit Joe for being demented or corrupt. Why not? It cost him the nom

9
HarryHood 9 points ago +9 / -0

The RussiaGate stuff when the Intel community informed Bernie that the Russian government was interfering in his campaign signaled it all for me.

He fell in line and didn't call out the BS. He basically told Russia to not interfere. This guy is a literal cuck and cannot play hardball when shit gets slung at him. Would he really stand a chance at beating Trump or getting legislation through?

Seriously, Biden could slap him and he'd say "my good friend Joe and I just have physical boundary disagreements." People should've seen this coming since he ceded the stage to BLM in Seattle.

3

It would be the ultimate Chad move if Joe came out at the debates and grabbed Bernie's shoulders from behind and just sniffed him.

23
Usahooray457 23 points ago +23 / -0

The best thing about tonight is that Trump is still setting records in the primaries alone for an incumbent, at the moment he has already has 9.2 million votes in all the primaries so far and it looks like he’s gonna beat his own total back in 2016 of 14 million.

4
StandardOilCompany 4 points ago +4 / -0

As someone super naive, can you explain what the "2.5x less turnout" in michigan or something for Trump. Everyone in /r/politics is raving about how they will crush Trump. I have been super busy and have missed out on all the craziness lately. Not concerned, or trolling, just wondering how they are wrong. Thanks

11
grassshrimp 11 points ago +12 / -1 (edited)

Roughly 1.5 Million Democrats voted vs. roughly 600k for President Trump.

/r/politics is excited because they can't process the fact that President Trump is certain to win the primary because he has no competition, so there is no need for Republican voters to turn out, especially given the Wuhan virus concerns. This has no reflection on what will actually happen in the general election.

It's a nothingburger as usual.

7
StandardOilCompany 7 points ago +7 / -0

Its funny in retrospect because what you say makes sense but they're taking that tiny thread of hope and turning it into "WERE GONNA WIN!!!!!!!!!!"

3
Ironlabel 3 points ago +3 / -0

Let them. The Reeee will be even stronger.

9
Patriot456 9 points ago +9 / -0

I also heard that Trump's vote count in Michigan has exceeded every other candidate in a primary since Reagan. Even more votes than incumbent Obama in 2012. Seems to be a trend in many primaries so far this year. Great news for us. But we shall never be complacent. As always, get out and VOTE! :-)

7
bellcurvestrikesback 7 points ago +7 / -0

Biden will choose that fat, gapped toothed loser from Georgia as his VP. Not sure why she’s a “thing” but evidently she is.

7
nocucks 7 points ago +7 / -0

Its not her turn and not even the most delusional Democrat thinks she could be even a passable President when Joe inevitably loses his last few marbles.

Its going to be a woman or a minority for sure. Hillary makes the most sense. She doesn't alienate anyone Biden doesn't already repulse and she's experienced with pizza and graft, which are what the establishment has been missing dearly the last three years.

4

I'll never forget watching some of my professors in college meltdown over 2016, probably the satisfying part of college for me.

To see them constantly tell classes how terrible of a person you are if you don't accept transgender people, or to see them be sexist towards males in class, and then not try to help anyone succeed, and then have them meltdown and rant about Trump, fuck that was awesome.

I really wish conservatives hadn't wasted so much time mooning over the black vote, despite the fact that they vote 90% left for life and have been doing so for many decades. Gives a totally false impression of what's going to happen in November.

All non-whites and legal immigrants vote 70-90% left for life. The stats are very very clear on this. And they really really do not care who the Dem nominee is, at all. They have huge financial incentives to vote Dem.

2
sagebrushfire 2 points ago +4 / -2

Yes, but we kept seeing, over and over again, stupid ass “they’re leaving the plantation” memes proving to those of us with a brain that somehow Trump was going to get 30+% of the black vote. Please. These people have voted lock step with the Dems for 60 years. They’ll never change no matter how many jobs they now have.

6
krzyzowiec 6 points ago +6 / -0

He might get 12% this time though. Believe it or not, that alone is huge. Dems need every bit of that, and some blacks really are pleased about the First Step Act and wondering why Obama didn’t do it.

I’ll be cautiously optimistic.

Black americans would be republican easily

TBH I doubt it, their voting patterns are inherently linked to their racial culture. That's why there are zero Constitutional Republics in Africa, after all. Caring about the rule of law and freedom are uniquely linked to British (i.e., original American colonists, not modern Brits) settler culture.

None of the people coming here or imported here in previous centuries care about Constitutional freedom or sovereignty of the people.

It’s far beyond that. I think we won’t know the winner for weeks after Nov 3rd, and even then there will be one vicious court battle after another, ending up with the Supreme Court choosing our President. It’s going to make the 2000 “hanging chad” incident look like a walk in the park. Could go on 2, 3 mos, 6 mos or more. Now that the Dems have found their sure fire way to block Trump at every turn using liberal activist judges, they’re going to switch into hyperdrive with the lawsuits, National injunctions, and petty lawsuits starting Nov 4, 2020. Anything to keep Trump from taking office for 4 more years.

Infuriating thing is - all those dummies sending money they don’t have to “help Bernie win” when he’s going to get a huuuge multi million dollar payoff from the DNC and their owners (rumor is it’s his own private airplane this time - luxury camp houses are SO 2016). And then he goes right back to his cushy $$$ job in the Senate like he never left! Just hanging out, blocking Trump’s nominees and any progress for Americans, and using that sweet, sweet Cadillac health care to keep up on the cardiologist visits.

Shit Bernie is getting butt spanked hardcore.

America. Doesn't. Want. Socialism. The only reason socialism ever does well at all is out of desperation. Well you can't sell economic reform in a good economy. Furthermore, the people that start buying into socialism out of desperation quickly see that the opposite is the solution when the opposite does well. Bernie's campaign will die with a whimper, and so will the socialist movement in America. When the left half of the country would rather elect an old fart with dementia that can't put a coherent sentence together than a socialist, I honestly don't know how much louder america can say no to that nonsense.

Yea, the Dem party is definitely pro-socialism but they are stealth socialists (for the most part). They prefer to do it incrementally so it doesn’t set off too many alarms, think death by 1,000 cuts.

Bernie is too bold and fast of a socialist for them. They knew that if he won the nomination it would destroy the party between infighting and rejection by the voters for being brazen socialist.

I live in WA and if there’s one thing you can count on it’s Dems wearing their support on their sleeve. Months ago I saw a few Warren signs on proud display. I don’t recall any Bernie signs this time around (they were all over the place in 2016). But there’s definitely something I’ve never seen and that is a Biden sign (without Obama’s name on it). I really think the Hillary loss has completely demoralized these people. I of course do my part to help.

Just for fun, I did a "literally" search on the S4P thread, lol:

-but there is still a chance. basic fact that its march, the nomination isn't given until literally July. we've seen how volatile this election is in the past 2 months, what about the next 4?

-Bernie getting within mid-double digit lead would be yuuuge, and would literally change the primary conversation. especially with there still being more of the country.

-Biden is literally the Democratic Trump

-Literally everyone else who has claimed to be "progressive" has sold out progressives and AOC, Omar, etc probably won't garner enough support.

-Literally zero Sanders supporters realize this.

-There was an account which was literally 9 hours old stating they will vote for Trump.

-Bernie is literally tied with Biden in WASHINGTON state. What. The. Fuck.

-You know what pisses me off the most? How Biden wins in places where he didn't even hold rallies. He literally didn't do anything.

-It's literally the exact same playbook they used in 2016 to lose to a fascist.

These are just on the first page lol! Literally tons of salt being mined!

1
Patriot456 1 point ago +1 / -0 (edited)

Biden is literally the Democratic Trump

That literally doesn't make any sense. I mean, I'd argue that Trump has more similarities to Bernie (anti-establishment, populism-type candidate) -- save for Bernie's asinine economic policies -- than Joe Biden.

3
kamakura7 3 points ago +3 / -0

You know what pisses me off the most? How Biden wins in places where he didn't even hold rallies. He literally didn't do anything.

this is what was always going to lose it for them. most Bernie supporters have this weird notion that just because they've been super loud on reddit and social media, it all equates to votes locked in. Bernie had a following, but Biden was vice-president for eight years. that's mad decent public exposure that was always going to be tough for Bernie to overcome.

also, they just had trouble with their message. they've been dick-riding Obama for so long but now they have to make the case that Obama's second-in-command isn't the one best suited for the job? they played themselves.

My life will still be in poverty under Biden. I will still have no health care. I got no way to pay for any bills. I can't afford most basic things. I hate it. I'm only 21 and I feel like I'm fucking 50 dealing with shit like the planet ending in half a decade.

And Biden will do nothing, cause while I'm white, I ain't rich. I hope moderates get put into poverty with me. They really don't fucking get what it's like to vote for survival itself. I hate this, I've hated life, and I fucking hate the US I live in.'

I have the solution! Get a fucking job hippie.

1

I'd be shocked if he chose her. Tulsi pretty much kamikazi'd Kamala's rep with the voters Biden would be trying to lock in. she also has the whole Juicy Smoolieay thing hanging over her head and Trump/Pence would not hesitate to bring that up in the debates.

3
ThisIsJoepedordy 3 points ago +3 / -0

Kamala is electoral poison. She’s put more black people in chains than a Mississippi plantation.

2
Vests123 2 points ago +2 / -0

Where are you seeing this?

5
UpTrump 5 points ago +5 / -0

Nothing official yet, but I've seen rumors that she is likely to a) secure the black vote, b) she's young(er), and c) she will pull in some of the radical bernie voters

3
Vests123 3 points ago +3 / -0

But didn't black voters reject her as a candidate? Her relatives are from India and from Jamaica.

Also, doesn't she have a relative that owned slaves back in Jamaica?

Not entirely. Biden could conceivably make it several months into his term before found unfit for office.

1

I doubt he will make it that far. DNC knows once it's him vs Trump, Trump will take the gaffs and keep punching at it, and punching at it and punching at it until Biden explodes on stage.

I see Biden dropping out shortly after he gets the nomination and they plug in his VP pick which will likely be a woman

In WA, for the time being, it appears that the numbers will remain at Sanders: 32.7% (335,498 votes, 17 delegates), Biden: 32.5% (333,414 votes, 17 delegates), at 67% reporting, according to AP.

No percentage/total is displayed for Trump, although it reads 43 delegates, out of 44 available.

4
Troy 4 points ago +5 / -1

The MI numbers concern me. Trump got 500,000 votes compared to Dems 1.3M+ votes.

2
lgbtqwtfbbq 2 points ago +2 / -0

In open primary states it's a lot more fun to fuck with the Dems' election than just vote for Trump.

6
ATXGodzilla 6 points ago +6 / -0 (edited)

You shouldn't worry. Trump is an incumbent. Incumbent turnout is always low.

Yet, Trump is breaking records for incumbent primary votes anyways. He broke it in Iowa and New Hampshire. He broke the record tonight in Michigan as well I think. Or at least he did better than any incumbent presidentin the last 20 years. He broke another state record too but I cant remember what state.

For more context, Obama won about 174,000 votes in his 2012 re-election with 89% of the vote in his Michigan primary/caucus. Adding in the other 11% has the Dem total around 194,000 votes. Obama went on and won the election with around 330 points too.

Trump has more than doubled Obama's numbers in 2012. Thats a huge showing for an incumbent in a race thats little more than a formality. People dont have to vote now and they normally dont, but they still are.

Dont worry about incumbent numbers. Trumps doing fantastic. Just be ready to vote in November friend!

3
Muffinman 3 points ago +3 / -0

In Oregon the vote by mail system means it has to be delivered to the court house by 5pm election day. You can't put it in your mailbox on election day but can drop it off at a special box outside the courthouse.
