This is funny. For years King rips Trump in every vile way he can. Then about two weeks ago has some momentary burst of clarity and says "Well, awards should be about merit, not race, gender, etc." and just gets THUMPED by the woke. He panics, immediately does his mea culpa, and now this. He's on his Ralph Northam style atonement binge now.
The moments of clarity he has might come from putting the bottle down for a day or two. I'm not sure we can expect that guy to be rational at this point.
Actually I think it's the opposite. He wrote some of his best shit when he was drinking, and now he's sober. It's sad when a childhood hero turns out to be a total douche.
