This is why they keep changing the rules of vote requirements from 60 votes to a simple majority of 51. Flipping 3 or 4 senators isn’t just less work, it’s also a lot cheaper.

We knew this would happen back when Turtle made the call to allow a simple majority vote on calling witnesses. If they still had to get to 60, this never sees the light of day.
