In the opening scene we hear a bunch of white American college kids reading their applications to Princeton all getting put in to the rejection pile until the admissions officer gets to the spanish sounding name application where she opens and reviews it for consideration. Also why did tea leoni’s bitch character need to hire an illegal? Why couldnt she hire an American housekeeper? The housekeepers story begins by her illegaly crossing the border with her daughter into texas only to cross over to LA where her immigrant cousin awaits her with open arms. In the movie they narrate that tgey left “34% latino texas in favor of 48% latino LA” this is in 2005 keep in mind. The numbers now are nearly doubled and its been 14 years. Hollywood elites are hypocritical pieces of shit that rub illegal immigration in our face because they use cheap illegal labor. Fuck em.

It's a well written story with more political reality than normal if you look beneath the surface like you did. Accepting the disaster that is our current immigration system as a fait de accompli is the narrative GETOUS has changed. There is another way.
