The Islamic dress code for women is meant to erase women. The burqa is the most extreme appearance of the erased & non-existent woman. Who would have thought that in the 21st century, there would be "feminists" who would defend this? (twitter.com)

But it's not to erase women. It's because men in that culture believe they can rape anything and anyone they want, at any time. They don't want other men to rape their property so they force them to cover up. They see a female and all they want to do is rape it. This isn't about protecting women, or erasing women, it's about men living in a fantasy rape culture and keeping women as sex objects.
