Welfare is the act of person A feeling bad that person B is impoverished so person A forces person C give person B money.
First, the root problem is that person A is co-dependent and should just sit with their emotions on the situation but that rarely happens now in America.
Second, the fact that person C is forced to give money deprives person C (and person A but we both know that’s never going to happen) from giving money and thus getting a warm feeling of choosing to help out a fellow human being.
But what is the worse is that person B, not only does not feel grateful at receiving the gift but actually feels entitled and thus ends up bitter.
All of this is due to emotional weakness on the part of person A.
