Don't go to the Capitol of Virginia. It's a trap. Plan a rally somewhere else. Let them deal with the "counter protesters" only.

It's a touchy situation, for sure. The left media, led by the NY Times and Bezos Post are trying to paint this as some white supremacist rally. The feds seem to be assisting in creating that narrative, by selectively picking off and arresting a few psychos on the right who like to fantasize about violence, while ignoring, as always, the low hanging violent Antifa fruit that is right there for the taking. Law enforcement, with their enormous surveillance capability, always has in its sights people they can take down when they want a quick headline, or need to help shape a political narrative or influence opinion.
Anyone going to the rally (which as I understand it occurs yearly and is called "Lobby Day") needs to go unarmed, calm, and scrupulously avoid violent confrontations if at all possible. This goes without saying. And for crying out loud, don't take your children into situations that can turn violent.
I would love to see the Sheriff's in these "2nd Amendment Sanctuary Counties" show up to provide additional security for their peaceful constituents. This is the time for them to do more than pass resolutions, but to be there in support. it is very difficult for the press to demonize them, and if things turn ugly, they will be there to at least give an accurate presentation as to who actually fomented the violence should it occur.
Everybody will make his own choice of course, but I recoil at the idea of permanently ceding our right to peacefully assemble in public squares, and our right to petition our government for redress of grievances simply because of fear. To each his own though.
