I don’t know how they figure out you are the same person but you are implying that the IP address is used.

Wouldn’t it work to have just one VPN account but with a provider that allows the user to pick which country the other end is connected to?

The other thought is using connections strictly via cell phones which tend to give you a different IP rather frequently.

Yeah I've been trying to figure that out too. I thought they (Facebook) were stalking my IP address, made a whole new account using my phone and my phone's data instead of my wifi which produces a completely different IP and before I could even add a friend or join a group they disabled the whole account.

Had you ever used your old FB account from your phone? If so, the browser (or app) might have had a cookie in it.

I would just guess that they use multiple methods to tie the various user threads together.

So... not only use a new VPN connect point but use new browsers in privacy mode.

Well then that could only mean a so called "factory data reset" doesn't clear all the data out like it's supposed to as I did one shortly before making the new account

Hmmm... that is indeed puzzling. I wonder if you can get the phone’s serial number via the browser or app. Were you using a browser or an app?
